oldshatterhand
Which set should I buy for my merc, Raptor or Pyrotech? I think Raptor is for merc and Pyrotech for PT but I'm not sure. They cost like 2000 WZ commendations so I really don't want to take the wrong one.
Tirithius
Hold the phone I thought commendations cap at 1000
RaveyLarge
Hold the phone I thought commendations cap at 1000 They do, but the guy is after a set which costs 2000. A set is a collection of individual items, which cost around 250 ish each.
Hibbsen
RD-15A – Assault/Raptor: Favors Crit/Accuracy (DPS) TD-15A Pyro-tech: Favors Crit/Accuracy(DPS), slightly favors endurance(over Aim) more then RD-15A TH-15A Medic: For Merc. Bodyguards (Healing), favoring Alacrity and Crit TT-15A Coercion: More for Shield Tech (Tanking), favoring Endurance, Absorption Rating, and Defense Rating You can mix Assault,Raptor and Medic Gear they have the same Style (Mercenary Gear) Edited February 1, 2012 by Hibbsen
oldshatterhand
Great info Hibbsen, thx. One question though, I want to max aim over endurance and to do so I would have to combine them. Is there a set bonus for having all the pieces which I would lose if I combine sets? Hibbsen
As far as i know only Lvl 50 Gear has a Set Bonus but not the Lvl 40 Gear.
Bamajawn
I bought the assault set for the additional aim even though I'm a pyro. One side effect that I've noticed is that I seem to be attacked more in PVP. I blame the bright white/red armor.
Flying-Brian
Find the 1 piece from the sets that has the best stats for what you need at the lowest price (should be boots), then buy 7 of those. Pull out all the mods (armor, mod, enhancement) and slot them in your orange gear (total cost to pull them all out is about 45k). You can then use all the mods at level 39. oldshatterhand
I'd rather not spend 45k on this, I am skipping Taris so I need the extra XP from PvP anyway. Also I want the orange level 40 set for the looks, it will be my first complete set
Flying-Brian
If you don't skip Taris, you get a full set of orange moddable armor from the quests there.
