Kricys
No 30% crit damage to force attacks, no force crush, no speed boost, no passive armor pen. No, just no. Oh and no quick recovery. Still no. Edited January 30, 2012 by Kricys
Pappus
If you are in a team it would be doable but serve the only purpose to tankbust so to speak and even then it would be on a 1 min cd. While it can work, most of the time you will feel gimped.
nonumbers
I would say no, Carnage is built on Ataru form and Rage on Shii-cho form... you're losing a lot of the benefits of rage here just for the smash but the smash isn't gunna stand out, at best you'll gore a single opponent and smash them but you'll get less damage overall in comparison to just going for rage spec. On the flip side force scream is weakened by this since you're missing out some skills for that and you have a very high rage cost to this entire build but not much in the way of rage building, you even skipped enraged charge for some reason and went for defensive roll instead... basically you have to do the following Force Charge -> Force Choke -> battering assault -> gore -> smash -> force scream and on top of this all, you're just hoping that ataru procs... given that force choke needs 50 seconds on CD... you're essentially based on 9 seconds of glorious burst every ~minute where the two bursts have naturally weakened states and one may not even proc at all... if you fail to kill an enemy in those 9 seconds you're effectively weakened state and reduced damage for a fairly long time, probably too long to do anything really significant anymore. A rage spec on the other hand could get off 3 heavy crit smashes in that same minute for far more damage and a carnage build does more significant force screams and a ravage that actually roots the target in place... also there is massacre which when used with berserk and enraged slash which is another burst that is open to carnage build which you're also missing out on. to put that last one in perspective, this is what I use to do, mid battle when ravage still had half it's CD to go but force scream and gore were ready. build 3~4 rage -> Battering assault -> berserk -> massacre -> gore -> force scream -> massacre * 5. Since the GCD is only 1 second between each massacre the DPS is increased significantly and a good 3~4 attacks ignore armor doing even more DPS and you can potentially get a good 10 or so ataru strikes in on top of it all. Thats a really good idea. I'll have to try it out tonight.
