Not ALL of our outfits suck. Proof!

I'm using the republic trouser & pants atm. Although since I suck at wz I think this only makes me stand out more and a priority target to squishify.

I realize we are samurai/ninja or whatever for the looks inspiration. However as somone who is supposed to sneak around and strike from the shadows I would think a clean, unencumbered look would be an option. Leave the sages to wearing the robes. I sort of doubt a spinning kick in floor length robes would be advisable.

Agent is only Imperial class that makes sense for Chiss, if Imperials had troopers those could work too but they don't. Even then Chiss only really fit the Agent role as the group role. By story Agent is at times undercover... yea an alien race only just discovered that everyone knows is allied with the Empire, good luck with that undercover work might as well wear one of these :csw_guard:. Personally I wear the Corellian commendations chest piece, I took the tank spec one and swapped out the components to make dps since I liked the darker color better, with hidden head item and rest is Balmorra social gear for hands, feet, and pants.

I am using mostly a "Muse Vestment"

I really love the upper part of a Force Evangelist Unfortuantely it forces you to wear a skirt part, but even so I'd wear it if I'd found really matches.

Rumination Vestments

I have yet to find a matching lower part for it. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/822/imagebzp.jpg/

Curious how much clipping issues there are the lower extends of this top parts.

I agree that the Muse Vestment style (tunic w/ cape) definitely fits for both Sage and Shadow classes, it looks the most like Satele's top than any of them. I like the second style too, but while the neck part looks great on your Twilek, it looks a little bit odd on my male human. However I think this outfit in particular would look amazing with the mask headgear. I don't mind the hanging part either, it looks less like a skirt and more like...idk, a loincloth? I think I'll buy a mask off the GTN today and post a screenshot of what it looks like with it.

Agreed on the clipping issues! Makes you wonder just what the heck the character design people actually DO.

WTB dyes for clothing!

I'd love the trousers for my shadow, but they are bright white! I've gone full darkside and white just looks really terrible. If I could dye them black or dark brown it would fit my look so much better.

It seems we're all having issues finding an appropriately matching set of pants. I might do a little more research on the matter today, but so far the only pants I know about (and know where to get) are the 2 Alderaan pants (black w/ pink patch and pure white), the Balmorra resistance pants (olive tone with purple inner stripe), and the Ulgo nolbe pants (black with yellow stripe).

The white pants look good, but they don't go with everything. I know there's the brown/white Hutt cartel ones on Tatooine, but I think they require social V. If anyone knows where to get some plain black ones, some dark blue ones, or some plain brown ones, it would be really helpful.

That's medium armor :(. If they would just let us have the Revan style robes on this side, we could have a midriff baring light armor for females. Observe:

The bottom I found on the GTN. I don't know where it comes from or if Prototype tagged items can be reverse engineered into an orange modifiable version. White pants with full mod slots would be quite nice as I'm not sure what colour the Alderaan commendation pants are off hand and pants in general are hard to find for us.

There are 2 pants available on Alderaan for commendations and one from the social vendor.

One pair is white ;). In fact, it's the same pair as you have, only orange quality.

I believe they have a lot of designers who are really good at designing fantasy outfits but have no clue about video games. Making a design on paper, in cotton or in a video game are three completely different things...

But I am not a friend of those item centric MMO systems anyway. I prefer the system where the looks are up to the player and game system customization goes into slots which are unrelated to the appearance. That approach has never been very popular with mainstream games, though, guess for a broad mass it's more important to make the level progress become apparant than actually giving the player means to customize their characters' looks. :(

Agreed, and I don't know why. When I used to play Star Trek Online, there was a separate slot for body armor, and when you had it on you could hide or show it. Otherwise you changed your look by going to a tailor or buying new uniforms from their online store. It wasn't the best system, but I liked it better than I like hunting for robes throughout the game.

Copypasta from the thread I made on the Consular board, here's a few ideas of what we look like with awesome armor combinations.

Most of this stuff took just 1 trip to the GTN, although I had a few extra orange outfits in my cargo.

All outfits include Muse Lower Robe (pants) from Alderaan.

Voss style:

Shirt w/ loincloth style:

Jedi Initiate's robe:

Hood up + Balmorra face mask:

And a front and back of another awesome robe I bought on the GTN, can't wait to get to level 47 to use it.

Yes, Tharan, you did mention you're a pacifist.

Our clothes don't suck, you just have to search a bit. Although you can't use that style face mask until you're level 46, which is annoying but liveable.

Yea my character is pretty much the first look which looks a lot better with body type 4, but the fact still remains pre - end game inquisitor gear >>>> consular gear. That Revan styled chess piece would make up for that as with that metallic helmet my character would be a ninja . Why do they treat us so? It would be simpler than creating new gear. All they would have to do is add it to republic loot table or place it in a vendor somewhere.

Both pvp sets look horrid ...lol at overgrown peacock and hobo. Who designed those and said "That's some cool outfits right there". Dont even get me started on the raid gear. I could audition for a the role of being the next Disney princess.

Agreed with all points, although I must say of the PvP sets, I still like them, whether they're tattered or not. They're very shadow-ish, although they don't make much sense on a sage.

But then I don't think a Sage should look like a princess either, Yoda didn't...not even the Jedi LIBRARIAN looks like that. Sages should have simple but elegant robes. I can understand making them look "noble" or what have you, but they should have done that with colors/material, not make them look frilly like a showgirl.

However on that note, the Sith inquisitor gear doesn't look so hot either...talk about peacock. Their headgear literally has FEATHERS.

Endgame light armor should look awesome, like the jedi masters we were sent to track down. None of them looked like a princess, not even master Sedonie, the Sage.

I don't think we should get all Sith armor, with the spiked shoulder pads and whatnot, but having those Revan robes? That's like a no-brainer!

Seems we're a bit divided on the PvP sets, and rightly so, that's why the devs give us options!

...or at least they said they might make the mods transferrable.

I don't like that if you hate it, you're essentially forced to get them anyway if you want to do better in PvP. Its YOU that spent all the time grinding valor level 60, and it should be YOU who decides what you wear, not be forced into getting robes you hate.

If you want to look like an Ulgo noble (lol) while you PvP, that should be your decision.

i love the hobo look. I remember the master i saved at tat and he had that nomad "i live in the wild" look with bare feet. I instantly said "wow i want that" when i looked a it. To each his own

Maybe i should rephrase my feelings on the look. The tattered hermit look is cool but its not my idea of what a shadow would be wearing. It is more more fitting for the sage: Think Dagobah system Yoda, St. Augustine, John the baptist, Siddhārtha Gautama Buddha and other hermits or monks. The Shadow is a more active individual who is sent in to essentially bring death to the dark side. They are supposedly the best of the best at combat and that attire isn't fitting for a combatant in my opinion.

Take Rockysrevenge's Avatar for example. While it is tattered it still has a shadow like quality of being better suited for battle. The only jedi /sith i've seen fight fully robed was Yoda, Palpatine(neither of them really had a proper duel) and old man Kenobi(if you can call that a fight. Besides that he has removed his robe while in a serious duel)

The robes has served more as over coats than anything else in the series.

Yeah, I see what you mean from a practical perspective. I think the tattered look fits shadows more because it looks more "battle worn." A sage just stands in the back and throws stuff at people, we shadows go in for the kill.

Here's a pic of master Sedonie Garen (couldn't find a full shot):

http://db.darthhater.com/screenshots/1398.jpg

Her robes aren't over the top, she doesn't look like a peacock, she doesn't have a long flowing robe slowing her down. Simple, classy robes with a bit of leather-looking armor. Perfect for a healer. She had some awesome bracers on too, they came up to her wrist like a hand guard. I think there should be more robes in this style and similar to it, both sages and shadows would greatly appreciate it.

And yet another ploy for the Revan robes...

I can see not having those above black ones for the Republic side. Completely understandable. But THESE?

http://tor.zamimg.com/torhead/uploads/images/7553.jpg

The robe is WHITE! Not gray, not black, but WHITE! How is it that the dark side gets these and we don't? Shouldn't the LIGHT side get at least the WHITE version of them??
