Fenius Posted January 26, 2012 Share Posted January 26, 2012 As a Vanguard Tank or DPS we are a CQB trooper. Now as far as I have seen they are no submachinegun type blasters in game. So my questions is why do we not use Scatterguns? For all practical purpose it make more sense than an assault rifle and fits the close quarters combat mo-tiff better. No to mention I think it would be a nice addition to the Vanguard tanking class. Any other thoughts on this? I understand most of these have the cunning attribute but in all honesty with the oranges available we can swap out the mods. sharkfinsix Posted January 26, 2012 Share Posted January 26, 2012 (edited) Yes using scatter guns would be better, but no, we use blaster rifles so best you can do is find a blaster rifle skin that is a short design, I had one from Coruscant that was the length of a sawed off shotgun ( I think is was called C-303 from Enemies of the republic heroic 4 quest), then i replaced it with a similar sized on from Balmorra commendations. (both Orange guns) ...looks alot better when you are toe to toe with the mobs you tank to use the shorter guns. Honestly, I wouldn't mind being able to use just about any blaster, though obviously some of them wouldn't allow the use of certain abilities. And I'd kill for a grenade/rocket launcher. sharkfinsix Posted January 26, 2012 Share Posted January 26, 2012 The C-303 actually has 3 barrels stacked in a radius, similar to a Gatling gun, so at least for me, this makes the ion pulse, grenade launcher and regular blaster fire seem to make sense The gun from Balmorra (the name escapes me atm) is very similar to the C-303 but has one barrel encased by a larger cylinder.
