Brickabrack
Yes BioWare listens. It's just the vocal minority on these particular forums have no conception of patience, maturity, or in many cases, logic.
XiliX
They have stated before they don't care what player base says. They have their logs & data. That is all they pay attention to. Am sure this thread will be closed rather quickly just like every other one that has pointed out the response short-comings.
BluePlatypus
Yeah they listen. I just dont think they know how to modify the POS game engine they purchased. at all. Edited January 18, 2012 by BluePlatypus

Qoojo
I hope not. Hopefully, they have a vision of how they want SWTOR to develop. Sure a customer driven feature or two is nice, but it's much better if the dev knows where they want to go.
Zezel
Are Bioware listening to their customer base? What are people's general opinions on this. OP they listen but I honestly think they do not care, call it pride, ignorance or whatever. Edited January 18, 2012 by Zezel
Tovenar
They listen. I supposed it's hard to discern the difference between vocal minority, real problems, and then relating that to their logs and numbers. That and they seem to have interesting idea's on what the term "polished" means.
Vydor_HC
Are Bioware listening to their customer base? What are people's general opinions on this. Yes they listen, however in the grand scheme of things, the free play crowd always has lots of complaints and lots of cancellations. White noise mostly. GetzMango
Yes BioWare listens. It's just the vocal minority on these particular forums have no conception of patience, maturity, or in many cases, logic. This covers it IMO. Such rage and hyperbole on this forum, it's nuts. Never knew there were so many game developers here, or that so many had a clue what it takes to make an MMO. MMO development is a little more complex than writing a batch file to back up your **** collection kids. Relax and chill. Enough with the nerd rage and doom calling. IMO much of what we see here is FUD marketing. Look it up.

ValaxDarkseer
Of course Bioware doesnt listen. They are EA's golden boy and can do no wrong. Did they listen when people criticized DA2 for being a mediocre piece of junk just like SWTOR? No. they claimed it was a masterpiece. EA hasnt listened to all the complaints about other franchises like Madden for over 7 years now. What makes you think they would care what anyone says about SWTOR? They wont. This game will fail and fail spectacularly just as many predicted.
Die_Scream
How can they? The forum mods close every thread. They have a few posts people are allowed to post in which they link every closure to. Heavy handed moderation is a sure sign of panic at Bioware, lol. oursacrifice
Is Bioware listening to their customer base? What are people's general opinions on this. No. They didn't listen to us in the BETA They didn't listen to people after launch prior to 1.1 They didn't listen to players on the PTR for 1.1 They're reactionary, knee-jerk responses to actual problems are a clear indicator that they don't have a CLUE what they're doing when it comes to MMO design. They probably have an overall vision in mind about how the game needs/should be for what they want to do - but have no way to practically implement the feature set to make that vision a reality. Instead they're just shoveling broken content to the users in the hopes that their story element is strong enough to keep a greater than 500k subscriber base for several months while they possibly try and get this shipwreck going in the right direction. Gosh, everyone you know huh? You are just in this weird state where now that you've supposedly quit, you want everyone who is ejoying the game to quit with you so that you feel as though you've made the right decision.
