As a PT tank you vent heat on shielding, with defense you are not hit. So I tend to stack shield chance and absorb. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
QiBao Posted January 13, 2012 Share Posted January 13, 2012 Purely anecdotal, but my Jugg guildy has much higher defense, but lower mitigation (armor), shield chance, and absorb. Don't forget about the 4% damage reduction from tier 1 talents, although as an OT you can apply that as well. After years as a bear tank, I would rather be a constant damage sponge than avoidance tank any day of the week (bears were both in wrath, so dodgy in BC, and dodgy again in Cata).
