Jenel Posted January 13, 2012 Share Posted January 13, 2012 I was using Plasma Cell mainly for the proc on High Impact Bolt and then I got Grav Round which procs HIB as soon as you get the first debuff so I'm wondering is it best to use Plasma Cell or Armor Piercing Cell for levelling? Ravor Posted January 13, 2012 Share Posted January 13, 2012 I've been using Armor Piercing in PVE for no particular reason then it's on 100% of the time rather then a 10% proc. I assume that overall it would be a bigger impact because most mobs die quickly anyhow. During long boss fights, then Plasma may be the way to go, but at this point without a damage meter I think it's impossible to tell reliably. I tend to use Plasma for PvP because DOT ticks stop people from capping stuff. An extra 2 or 3 seconds can mean a win or a loss in the Warzone. Ronamo Posted January 13, 2012 Share Posted January 13, 2012 If you're playing a Commando Combat Medic, use Combat Support Cell. If you're playing a Commando Gunner, use Armor Piercing Cell. If you're playing a Commando Assault Specialist, use Plasma Cell. I'm sure there are similar caveats for the Vanguard AC as well. In short: Each tree is built around using a specific cell. Hyfy Posted January 13, 2012 Share Posted January 13, 2012 I don't PvP at all so I can't answer to that, but I typically run with the armor piercing round. Ive found being able to reliably get through their damage mitigation added with Grav rounds debuff makes taking down mobs much quicker. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
