I also have to be in a place where I can see /1 (ie, the fleet, really) instead of out in the game world; otherwise I'm not going to see most of the groups that form. The current setup highly encourages people to sit in the fleet doing nothing waiting on groups to form. A valid lfg tool allows people to get back out into the world. If they don't, I can know the system inside and out and it won't matter. Therefore, you need to do more than just "learn to use the LFG tool". Yea, it's completely not random to group with someone the first time. Someone I've never met, never seen, never talked to. But because we need the same thing, we group up. That person could be terrible. But, since I didn't use a LFG tool, I'm sure they're a great player. That LFG tool is what creates terrible players. Let us rejoice! We all are perfect without it! darkrazzy Posted January 11, 2012 Share Posted January 11, 2012 your bad experiences in wow do not overwrite the massive difficulty i have getting a grp for almost any kind of leveling group content. i dont even care if the lfg tool is identical to wow or something completely different, we just need SOMETHING to allow us to bypass the half hour if not more wait for flashpoints and heroics. You can claim it all you want to but if they put up a random instance finder tool, and then 99% of the people can't complete it because they've never learned to cooperate with other people, or even how to play their own class, then the content will get nerfed to hell and back to make it more to their level. I bet they can do that in swtor aswell.actually, I'm not convinced that even the nerf's in wow were completely caused by the lfd tool itself; I find it highly likely that both the lfd and nerfs were part of the same a push to make the game more casual friendly. I mean, it's not like they never nerfed content before lfd... if anything, lfd primarily gave them a large pool of data so they'd know exactly what needed to be tuned down. so yeah.... changes designed to make the game casual friendly make the game casual friendly.
