I don't think u an blow the bridge on the archenar interception (rep version of the sweep) with missiles. u only make 2 very short passes at the ship... u can put 8-16 missiles at it tops, and those targets usually demand twice as much. if someone succeeded please share his startegy.

Polith Minefield also has the "kill 4 heavy fighters" bonus mission. I don't know the credit value off hand.

 

I'm on Republic, but I'm pretty sure it's the same (except for the name of the fighter?):

 

"Kill Heavy Plug-6 Fighters"

My log shows 2775 exp and 2167 credits.

 

I believe it unlocks at Level 44, as I did it the day before at Level 43 without getting any bonus for blowing up those ships.

This is a great post for anyone trying to do the bonuses, knowing what they are as they become available. I was surprised as I leveled to find myself getting new ones partially completed because i wasn't paying attention and didn't notice them given to me.

 

Is there any chance to get you to add the republic mission names beside the imperial ones? Maybe even colour code them if you want.

 

It will make things easier for any republic players looking at this topic. And yes from what I can tell the missions and bonuses are the same.

I can, if someone can send me a list of Republic mission names. I don't have a high level Republic character, so I don't know them myself.

 

I can provide the ones i know, in order they are (i also separated them for daily quest use)...

Republic Space Missions

 

 

 

Important Info:

1) For Empire, Frigate = Corvette, and Capital Ship = the larger, oval shaped one.

2) The Daily bonuses can only be completed using Missiles/Torpedoes. And they take a lot of missiles, about 20 for the communication spikes, about 30 for the Capital ship bridges.

3) Some of the bonuses seem to require that you be a particular level to earn them. So while you unlock Skaross at level 34, you cannot get the Fighter bonus until level 38.

4) Objectives in yellow are Daily Bonuses, and can only be completed once per day by each character.

 

Operation Midnight Freedom

Fondor Escort:

Main: Protect the Shuttle - 330 credits

Bonus 1: Destroy Fighters (25) - 120 credits

Bonus 2: Destroy Frigate Turrets (20) - 847 credits (lvl 30 min)

Bonus 3: Destroy the Capital Ship Bridge - 2538 credits - Daily Bonus (discovered by Temptis)

[Might be possible with Missiles, no confirmation]

Every Space mission has 3 bonuses. 1 is unlocked with the mission, 1 is unlocked at a higher level, and 1 is a Daily (no level limit)

I've been doing all the dailies for a while now. It's a great source of credits. And on top of that you can get to 375 fleet commendations in a few days. If one of my companions can't use the level 50 purple, I can sell it on the AH for 70-90k usually.

 

As far as the missions go, I can complete them all including every bonus with a couple of notable exceptions.

 

I have a very hard time getting the 4th heavy fighter on Ascendancy Barrier.

 

I have a moderately hard time getting the 75 turrets/fighters on Clouds of Vondoru.

 

But there is one bonus I have never been able to get and that's the 10 shield generators for Mugaar Ice field. The third, fourth and fifth frigates are easy to get. The first frigate you see twice and is easy as well. It's the damn second frigate that you get hardly any time on. You see it twice but for a very short time. And the second time you see it you are above it for about 3 seconds of missile action.

 

Does anyone have a strat for this?

  • Acendancy:
    when you pass the mine layer for the first time, there are to fighter flying away on the right. one flies off completly to the right the other one makes a turn back towards the centre and than back at you. that is the 4th heavy.
  • Clouds:
    unload your missiles on the first 3 cruiser that fly at you for their turrets, engines and shield generators, ignore the second pair of fighter there
    use your protons for the first 3 capital shield generators and the bridge and fire at capital turrets on the first drive by of the big one
    use your EMP Burst when you are on top of the 2 cruiser after the first run on the capital shield generators, this leaves you plenty of time for fighter shooting at the same time.
    don't hesitate shooting missiles at fighters (having 150 helps!)
  • Mulgor:
    unload on lower shield generator on the first drive by, if it's not enough to take it out than, do not shoot it again on the second drive but focus on the upper one as this one stays shootable longer on the second run. finish both of with your EMP burst.
    managing the last one is almost harder as you only get 1 attempt at both.

I posted this somewhere else and it vanished, existing only in my history...sorry if this is the wrong spot for it.

 

Has anyone else had this happen... You're in a space mission, popping off a half dozen missiles into an oncoming frigate, BOOM BOOM BOOM they go off and then your ship angles off and ... nothing. The last couple missiles vanish as soon as they go off screen?

 

This happens to me constantly. I target five or six turrets or whatever, but as soon as the missiles I've fired go off screen they no longer count. Its making bonus missions very difficult since I don't get credit for shield generators or turrets I blast but don't "see" get destroyed.

 

I am not sure if I'm making sense, but if I am has this happened to anyone else?

I've been wondering about the ones that either don't have hidden bonuses (i like to think they do, but who knows) or haven't been discovered yet.

 

In the case of Polith..

I was thinking..

Could it have to do with the asteroids?

I know A LOT of them can actually be fired upon, missiles hit them instead of disappearing/going through them.

Blaster Fire hits them, but there's no targetting reticle..

I haven't actually been able to destroy any though, but I don't have protons.

 

Just pondering..

I figure most times in Star Wars, when there are asteroids about, they shoot them..

 

I can't exactly confirm without protons.

So maybe, maybe not!

Has anyone managed to blow up the bridge in Jabiim Escort with only missles? I swear I've peppered it with 24+ missles but it just won't explode for me.

Like I said in the guide, it might be possible to do it, but I haven't been able to do it myself.

 

Also, removed the lvl 38 min from Mugaar & Skaross, since it appears they don't open up there. I'll check again at 40.

Blown up the bridge & the coms at the bottom of the station with the photon torpedoes. Take ages for them to lock so you have to wait for a long run at them. The ship bridge I waited untill the run from end to end, just ignoring all the fighters.

Yeah. All of them can be done with the Proton torpedoes (not photon, this isn't star trek. We shoot positively charged bits of an atom, not light).

 

The question remains on several if they can be done with the standard missiles or not, which would make them achievable before reaching level 49.

You can only blow up bridge with Torpedos.

For most bonus quest, ship generators (10) you would require better blasters for faster damage and to learn what to shoot and when (example most of the time ignore fighters which on all missions are more than enough, leave them for the end etc)

Bridges on some of the missions can be destroyed with missiles. It takes about 30 of them, but it can be done.
