Master_Berryl Posted December 14, 2011 Share Posted December 14, 2011 At some point soon everyone (even those without pre-orders) will be playing the game, there needs to be enough servers to handle them all - either they can do this and this staggered release is non-sense or they cannot handle the numbers meaning that within a few days the game seriously screwed. That's were "mere logic" makes non sense. You think it's simply "they have enough space and they're lazy or they don't and they're stupid". Sadly it's not that simple. A theater runs movies at regular time, around each two hours, same time each days of the week. They can't magically add a room when a new movie drags far more people than they planned; only put the movie in a second room, which means another film won't be showed, and thus upset other peoples wanting to see it. As for the previews, if a theater is full, you "simply" have to check another one. Will you "simply" check another game company in case they have a few ToR servers ? All Bioware do is putting servers up along with the players number in game. That doesn't mean they're lazy, nor that they don't have enough "space". Just that they prefer not to launch them all at once - and have to manage several hundreds of thousands of players in a single time, but rather doing it step by step. You like it or not, at least wait for the final result at the official launch, instead or getting so high after only a day and a half. All it needs is a little patience from you, and it could work not too bad, even after the 20th.
