What grade would you give Bioware today?

I'm not in the game my self yet, but Imma give them an A, the game isn't out for 6 days, and still people get to play, they even upped those 5 days to make it even smoother. People crying is probably people who haven't gotten in yet. And that, is the only reason they cry. Bioware seem to have done a good job, and still got 6 days till the final grading, anything up till the 20th, doesn't really matter, at all. Roll in period is roll in.

I'm waiting to get invite at some point, and I'll be happy when I do, I payed no extra to pre order, and it said up to 5 days when I did, so if i get in the 19th, I'll get a bit disappointed, not really at Bioware, but the fact that I didn't pre order earlier.

I am not yet in , I played in Beta so I'll give my grades according to that. They are differentiated:

B+ for the game. Some bugs during gameplay, some are fixed probably but the launcher as of right now is still crap (it still quits without reloading and stays active as a process)

C for the customer support.

C for the staggered launch -> only US Times, focusing on US although they have 60% of their pre-orders from Europe. Less discriminations would've been better. Waves for the US, SEPARATE invite waves for Europe. More people, better experience. Also, the servers are LIGHT (all of them except one) right now and their Light simply because they have nothign lower than that.

I will go F for the launch if they won't get to work and launch faster. If they give out only one day of early access of decembers, that's crap.

A+ for Bioware and F--- for reading comprehension of their player base... guess it is a good thing the game is voiced. What part of up to 5 days of early access is difficult to comprehend. It doesn't mean 5 days it means anywhere between 0 and 5 days of early access and we aren't even at 5 days prior to launch yet.

This!

I got to try out the game early, during Beta, and for FREE.

I'm able to play from Australia even though we aren't in the initial launch zone/s.

I'm going to get in early, it may only end up being a day early but it is still early.

Amazon is now going to ship my game to Australia earlier than expected so now I get it before Christmas (and likely before early access ends).

I've sent a couple of questions to Customer Service and I have received a quick response.

The devs seem to be addressing people's concerns with regular forum updates.

Look, the game isn't perfect yet but let's give the poor blokes a go before cutting them off at the knees. It isn't hard to see that this game has been created by people who truly love the Star Wars universe for people who truly love the Star Wars universe. Us. I understand that the negativity is born from passionate frustration but I think we need to be a little bit patient also. The game hasn't even officially launched yet.

Let's continue to support this game, this universe, a place for us all to go and geek out in a galaxy far, far away.

A+

the self entitled whiners are comedy gold while Bioware sticks to the plans that it's had since July.

ditto

A*

More polished than Beta Weekend and very little lag. I'm glad they extended the early access to the 13th as the 15th is my busiest day this week!

Incomplete.

Fail Launcher.

Absurd Staggered EGA. Yes people who ordered it get it first, that's no biggy. However 4 waves a day, cmon you're servers are that poor?

There should be waves going out every hour until everyone is in. If a server fills up add another OMG is that so hard to do?

in europe we dont give letters you get points from 0-10 or depending on the test it might be 0-20 or 0-100

where most teachers give you 1 for effort i wouldnt even give this.

the uther lack of untherstanding how human psychology works is staggering.....

if you dont give people a date they just go beserks and keep looking and looking and hoping and all those whose hopes have not been met by circomstances they did not create they get mad at the one who did create those circomstances.

BW alowed pre order. then 3 months later decide the order in wich you pre ordered NOT the amount of money you spent. is gooing to be the order in wich you get your goodie is NOT posetive !!

if they would have said so up front no one would be bothered.

F

No communication caused hundreds, maybe even thousands of people to wait for hours in the hope they would be able to start today when in truth they would be lucky to get in on the 15th.

Inviting people at a snail's pace, and then stopping in the middle of the day.

No grace period.

Ordering the invites by time of preorder code redemption is unfair to the people who ordered retail in July and had to wait months before the store sent the codes.

A+++

Great to see all the selfish moaners post here throwing tantrums because they were not included in the initial wave of invites 7 days before its released.

My 12yr old son behaves better than most of them:rolleyes:

totally miss the point. Its not that we werent included, its that the staggered launch biases early access chars and ruins the pve completion race.

Imo, BW dropped the ball on this EGA thing, the massive complaints are the proof. Secondly, it is an unfair system to handle. Why not allow people who registered 1st at BW site get in 1st? Some people registered years ago but bought game later...

You see where this is going?

Not? Lets suppose you are a parent with 5 children. Are you giving 1 a candy and the rest not?

Such decisions are unfair and bias, i for sure wont handle such decisions. All or none, thats my motto.

I hate how these guys who are already in, complain about people being upset about not being invited yet.

If you really feel that you deserve to play more than anyone else you behave worse than a 12 year old as well.

MMO's shouldn't have there economy destroyed because Bioware is too lazy to keep invites going out. There will be level 50's dominating the market by the time these waves are complete. So much for talented players reaching any server firsts.

But it helps them to ensure a stable platform for people to play on without crashes etc, nothing worse than servers crashing at the start of launch....

What does a few days matter in the PVE race, who wants to rush through it all anyway and miss all the great voice acted quests.

Glad I could bring a chuckle to someone today. I have an odd philosophy. Bring a smile or a laugh to at least one person, every day of your life, and for a few moments you make the world a slightly better place.

Not odd at all actually. I actually have the same philosophy. I make it a point to never go anywhere without a noticeable smile on my face. I like to spread the joy wherever I go 365 days. What's odd are all these stinkin sour **** trolls who make the forums a dreary place for the rest of us.

Go crawl back in your holes trolls :p

I would give them a 1/10, that one point is for coming up with the idea for staggered invites. The lack of all the other points is for the total failure in implementing it, completely ignoring the community, not giving us any information whatsoever about what is going on, the huge 18 hour break they took, lack of consideration for the EU community and ruining the experience for the people who actually got in, it was not even close to an MMO experience, they could have just played a single-player game instead due to the servers being completely dead.

If BW doesn't get their **** in order today, I'm going to be terrified for the future of SWTOR.
