I'm lvl 38, and with the grinding that I've done, you 50's must have no lives at all.

I can narrow that down. He wants a profession that isn't COMPLETELY, UTTERLY 100% ENTIRELY USELESS at lvl 50. Either read the post or don't reply.

How about players training other players?
Keadil replied to NinjaRockStar's topic in General Discussion
Fansy used to train other players in EQ1. Oh, wait, you meant the other train. Ya, I'd still be ok with it. -
It's a lie! The robes make me look fat! >.<

350k subs? good or bad? all this and more inside!
Keadil replied to Nemrodh's topic in General Discussion
The thing is, the 350k isn't useful whatsoever in this calculation. Whether you are logged in at peak times, or you only play every other Wednesday at 2 AM for 20 seconds you are still paying a subscription per month to play. -

Okay, I'll bite. Here's proof in the OP that you have absolutely no idea what concurrent users mean. Multiply 1.5 million subs by $15 per month and tell me how you get 5 million... -

Keadil replied to Nemrodh's topic in General Discussion
It's useless to point out that some people just don't understand the term concurrent active subscriptions. They have been told over and over and over and over and over in numerous threads and it still doesn't sink in. At this point we have to accept that they are honestly too stupid to understand this very basic term. -
The big kids understand that these classes are easy to interrupt and have all the defense of a wet paper bag.

I don't remember, but after playing Aion on the Chinese servers it IS cheaper unless you play over 30 hours EVERY week.
-
It's actually cheaper unless you play over 30 hrs per week.
-
Those are what we call expansions in these parts, the subscribers were already there... As for you guys that don't think 350k concurrent users all logged in at the exact same moment is impressive then you really need to get your heads out of the clouds. There are around 1.5 million subscribers total at this point and they all play at different times.

This^^ You can almost count every polygon in those screens. They look terrible, and the first screen only had any detail in the character models. The background and water was horrible even by 2004 standards. Look at EQ2 for comparison and you'll see.

My judgement is that you are being sarcastic, or you are blind.

Recent actions against some customer accounts
Keadil replied to StephenReid's topic in General Discussion
It's because a patch takes time. That's why devs let you know that it is bannable to continue on the same path until a patch goes in, just like this guy received and ignored. -

That doesn't address the problem in any manner. He was saying that the same people were farming items like crazy, and harming the economy in the process. It doesn't matter that he went there on a low lvl character. It doesn't matter that he got loot not intended for his level. What does matter is the player in question was farming to such a degree that it was harming the economy. -
Nerf PvP Rewards - Gear and Credits are too easy
Keadil replied to SickSwag's topic in General Discussion
This may come as a shock, so please sit down. There are plenty of people that have no interest in pvp. -
So why should any class do more damage than Jedi/Sith?
Keadil replied to Renroval's topic in General Discussion
Jango Fett almost killed one of the greatest jedi masters in the movies... -
You are my hero! If only I could be this evil as a dark jedi...

That couldn't be further from the truth. WoW is an mmo. Just because you hate 1 mmo doesn't mean you hate them all...

How can you be a clone of a clone? This game is an mmo, that is the beginning and end of the similarities. Compare this game to any mmo out there and you'll get just as many similarities. I'm sick and tired of seeing the WoW clone crap stated at EVERY mmo launch sine WoW. I swear, WoW is not the only mmo in existence. It was a clone when it launched, it'll still be a clone when it finally gets taken offline.

If they were going to take anymore time then I'd hate to be funding them. At some point a game has to be released or you just have to cut your losses and scrap the whole thing. This game is ready for release. Despite all the doom and gloom/end of world prophecies on this board, there aren't any game breaking issues to resolve. There are plenty of bugs, balancing issues, and a need for more content, but this is typical of any game ever released in this genre. I've played enough mmo's at launch to recognize the same threads popping up in every single one of them. The only time they were ever justified was referring to design decision flaws in FFXIV.

It doesn't seem intentional and I would call it an exploit. Obviously, it would have never been intended for a player on a pve server to hit another player when not flagged for pvp yourself.
