I love these topics. Yeah, NGE blew and, to me, ruined SWG. I played a few weeks here and a few weeks there after 2005 but the NGE classes were boring. A previous poster talked about the Jedi as an alpha class. They were difficult to kill 1 on 1. For the last couple of months I had an awesome BH spec with Doc, TKM, Pistoleer, Fencer and some BH to get the Jedi missions. Loading up on buffs and coming up with strategies to collect bounties was a blast. I lost as many fights as I won. I guess the thing I miss the most is the ability to change professions at will. Did it take some grinding? Yes. Was it doable? Of course. For a time before that my toon was a TKM/Politician. I spent my time kicking back and building a player city. I even had some points left over to be a muscian. Good stuff. SWG is gone. Folks need to get over that and stop posting about it here. SWTOR is what it is. The only thing they have in common is Star Wars.

And? I mean, yeah, there used be a lot of subscribers and servers but we should think about the state of the game and the population now on the existing servers. From what I see when I log in, the population is healthy.

I wouldn't mind a dual spec. For some reason I keep queueing as a tank in the LFG tool. Would be nice if I could switch to a tank spec when needed.

Whedon directed The Avengers. Unless he's working on the next movie, I can't see why he wouldn't be a good candidate.

EA is giving, for free, a game that is said to be 24X larger than the original KOTOR. Again, for free. There are restrictions but you do not have to pay one penny to complete the stories. That's eight stories. Free.

Had been looking forward to the game since 2008. I skip the beta. Got it the day it game out and played several alts through Chapter 1 then burned out. Took about seven months off to play TSW, GW2, and TERA. Came back about a week ago and ignored all my old toons and factions. I rolled a Jedi Shadow and am having a blast with an entirely new story line and set of planets (so far only on Taris). I have to say I am looking forward to the cash shop. One aspect of MMOs I really enjoy is the ability to change gear and such. I'm glad to be back. My only problem: I still hate Huttball

I probably wouldn't start with the Darth Plagueis novel. It's a good read but lacking in action. It's more cerebral. Go with the Bane trilogy first. You'll be hooked! Death Star is the next thing I would recommend. Maybe the Thrawn Trilogy next. So many good options. Oh, don't for get the original Han Solo trilogy!

I've only seen him in the Harry Potter movie. I don't watch the Twilight stuff but I don't see a problem with him in the new movies. And Jar-Jar? I've never understood the hate. He's not an ideal character but he's not worth all the rage.

Or they can sub. It's only $15. What are people getting for free? A game that is 24x larger than the orignal KOTOR. Spend a whopping $5 dollars and most or the petty restrictions are lifted. Jeez guys..

I like the space combat. It's more like a mini game. Bioware needs to concentrate on the ground game. I doubt seriously that SWTOR: JTL is ever gonna happen.

I always crack up when I see people don't realize what a surname is and they have the same name twice. Darth Kratos Kratos, etc..

I like a lot of the stuff I saw. Kind of pricey at over $10 USD for some of the armor sets but still.. I'll end up paying. I like a couple of those for my shadow.

That was a pretty good build but you didn't need MD to get the benefits of great healing packs. My build had Doc, TKM, Investigation line in BH, and some fencer and pistoleer for dodging. I remember working on it and testing it for weeks. Made BH missions fun!

I thought the combat was pretty good! I enjoyed creating different builds. Before NGE I had an amazing BH build with just enough in investigation to get Jedi missions. I remember having enough in Doctor to use really good med packs, had some fencer and pistoleer for dodging. What other game allowed that kind of creativity? This is what I miss. I know, I know-no end game. Hell, I didn't even know what end game was. SWG was my first MMO.

I think pre NGE PvP was great. I used to organize pvp events on Tempest. Sometimes I would get devs like Pex to add cool things like AT ATs and NPCs. Good times. I also enjoyed PvP in Anchorhead!

I wondered the same thing. Just came back from a two week break and was looking to work on my warrior a bit. Ugh.. I reckon I'll do something constuctive on my day off.

32 jugg, 30 sorcerer, 27 marauder, 26 powertech (rerolled from a 25 merc) 22 asassin and commando, 18 sniper, and 10 gaurdian...phew! Yeah, I'm taking my time. Loving SWTOR!
