Sorry, I really didn't address your issue, just ranting about my own problems.

Auto targeting has been badly broken for me since 5.0 dropped. I target my companion, random mob from a different group of mobs than the group I am currently fighting etc. Everything but the mob directly in front of me.

You ask how to make money, answer you're own question (light saber hilts sell for 1.5 mil) and then complain about other people making money.

All I ever find in the chests are blue crafting mats.

This. Not only is it not worth the cost of a monthly subscription, it's just not worth my time. There is nothing to do in this game, besides 2-5 year old content I've already played hundreds of times.
