I use to QQ this mission hard on these forums. It actually caused me to rage quit for 8 months. When I came back recently, a guildy said he would help me get the last few parts i needed. In a group of 2 using Dulfy location guide, we found every part in less than 20 minutes each time. *Do not do this solo *Do the part you need always with another player, it makes it so easy you will kick yourself. When I rage quit, it was solo searching, taking over 3-4 hours and nothing. * Also, this HK51 companion, is the best ever and well worth the time and stress, seriously stick with it.

So ended up grouping with another guy and it was a piece of cake... In reality, combat medic spec is too low a dps for this boss to solo. Just group with a dps and its yawn able

Yes tried this, normal stun rotation does work but he just out heals the dps at level 55. I even kited him to the edge and tried to knock him off ( it takes 2 knock backs ) but he hovers in mid air and never falls I did notice with Patient Zero, that there really is nothing to interrupt, the self heal is all the time, even though it says periodic. If someone can post a video of a level 55 combat medic killing this guy I will eat humble pie, but my feeling is he is bugged for higher level toons soloing. Again I love a challenge, but I have run out of options. The only thing I can think of is try grouping with a level 52 player and see what happens, so far I've not seen anyone else in this instance courtyard and no reply when I ask in general chat. Anyway, back to farming , thnx for tips, hints..... Cheats you may have

Very strange. Seems to not scale correctly if your higher level than Patient Zero. Cause I've seen pictures of level 52 toons killing this guy without much trouble at all. Going in at level 55 is a whole new ball game - fully geared level 55 toon and companion, totally owned and only did 20% damage. I respected, re geared other companions to no avail, each time totally owned and I mean totally, this is from a player who can solo level 55 champions. I believe, and it is only recently that I have seen these posts.... That Patient Zero is up scaling to full group for anyone over the level range for this run. I love a challenge, but this is like sending in a 2 year old with a baby rattle to fight a Sith Overseer

Then there is something to do with the scaling of the dungeon with players level. Think about it, level 55 toon fully geared having problems........ And everyone is oh well I owned it so easy with my naked level 12 Jedi in starter gear blah blah. It aint rocket science, I've been playing the game a very long time and like I said my setup allows me to solo level 55 champions. So, when I get owned... And I mean owned after using every trick I know, my conclusion is: A: the scaling level up is not working correctly for this guy. B: there aint no B I did love the one where the guy said... Oh I just went in close and no problem I did love the one where the guy said... Resummon your companion... Lol , oh that must be why, cause I always start fights solo with my companion not in the room........ I think my whine is justifiable, I love a challenge where I can use all my HoT, interrupts, knock backs and be left with 5% health..... But both fully geared toon and companion owned and only done 20% damage? I've read on forums others having problems, and the date of post is very recent, so perhaps it is to do with recent patching? I can solo level 55 champs but can't kill this level 53 elite.... Yeah ok SWTOR. Patient Zero is bugged, how can any level 53 elite mob self heal faster than a fully geared level 55 and companion can dps. Something stinks here and it ain't me.

This Patient Zero is bugged. I can solo level 55 champs but can't even get this beast to below 75% Rate of self heal is ridiculous. What a downer to be really enjoying a quest line then get this sort of suck. Level 53 elite, .......yeah really... /ragequit

Founding member returns after a year to an impressive updated game. SWTOR was a great run when it first came out and I clocked up 3 level 50's but with end play dull I soon got bored and headed off looking for my next fix. A year later I have come back and have been impressed with the amount of changes. I generally play PVE , craft, play the markets and try to collect sets of my favourite armour, after all, it is about style darling Cathar pulled me back into the game, always wanted to play one ever since I rolled my first commando. Ok so it is just a new skin job on a human face but after creating a Cathar female smuggler , the choice and play style (dark side) has had me smiling all the way to the bank. Now on a side note, when server transfers came about, I did what most Aussies chose and transferred to the oceanic servers..... Big mistake, not enough population. So this time I started on an American server and it has been great. Always peeps to run heroics, flashpoints, I am having a blast. So if you are Aussie and wonder where the heck everyone is, come back to the US servers guys. The zones are so full, they have extra instances, ie more than just 20 people on the server Nice one SWTOR, I am even about to buy that new Cartel speeder

Yes worst quest ever, buggy, horribly thought out, a huge lame time sink with no imagination.... how any casual player is supposed to complete this is beyond me. Do yourself a favor and put it into the" SWTOR most stupid ever" this is a place we put things like Force leeping during Hutt ball, cathar skin jobs, Cyborgs, etc etc.....

So with the new race of Cathar brings us a whole bunch of names related to felines, kitty this, Kitty that, Pucee this, Pucee that. Be warned , apparently SWTOR feels any name with ***** in it is bad, so very very bad and requires a name change. Really? A name change a level 30 because someone called their Cathar gunslinger Pussypistols? ~ over the top I am thinking. Yawn............... get over it, if you think Pussycat is a bad word you need to watch some tv and see what really goes on in the world, or are all to hit the random name button and end up with some Japanese spin off name for all our toons?

Interesting that there are 4 or more similar threads on this topic. I wonder if SWTOR will do anything about this? Probably remove all our threads is my opinion...

So being addicted to vanity gear, I could hardly wait to see what the new designed gear was like in the Cartel shop. I purchased 4 item packs. I already had a full set of the Elegant dress set for my companion and was keen to score her something fresh. Well.... The clothe sets are the same as the last lot, just a different color. How boring is that? Imagine if one of the leading design houses did that. " Oh and here is our 2013 Spring catalog , it is our 2012 stuff but this time we made it in pink " To me this just seemed very lazy on the designer side for SWTOR. Cut and paste anyone? 3 sets of female armor/fashion that is exactly the same only the color changes? Not happy and unless we can preview the gear so we know what to expect, I will not be purchasing any future item packs. I thought I could use the galactic market to preview, but the items were not there and the ones I did try to preview did not show up on my companion screen and was actually bugged.

Yeah I heard they were giving F2P peeps penalties on all known levels of enjoyment. Every key hit cost $1 USD and when ever you log out you get a rolling exp penalty of 80%. Not sure if this is true, just what I heard through the grape vine. Oh yeah, and all F2P get permadeaths on all toons until level 48

Lol at this, how many times did I get this in chat..oh try Dulfy's etc etc.. That site is junk for way point locations. Most of it is..oh I got mine at ......... but just search the general area. Sure, but if the part has not spawned correctly.. ie within the findable area and not inside the mountain side. I was in a group, we searched both Jedi ruins over an hour and 40 minutes in each area using that website....nothing. Maybe the spawn was bugged? maybe someone else found it first but I do not think so, anyone that was looking was in my group. Read the previous posts. I can find the crap if it was there, clearly it was not, as others said in chat " oh sometimes it bugs out and does not spawn in the search area until server reset" ... = lame. Anyway, quite over it, some time sink companion cockup mission. Quite a shame, because the starter quest for this was awesome. The parts search, lazy programming time sink stinker of frustration.

What do you not understand about not having the time for this? I work and have a family, I can not and do not want to spend 2 hours + searching for a buggy droid part/parts. The mission is not easy if it is bugged/parts reset etc. Locations on the internet...really, maybe for a couple. Most of the threads I read were " search the general area". 2 hours later nothing. Guys in chat saying ": oh yeah I can find that in less than 15 minutes ".... 2 hours later nothing ( they even joined my group) So, I will put it down to another buggy pile of crap, if your lucky and everything turns up for you thats great. So many better F2P and P2P games out there, like I said b4, I canceled my subs and will haunt the forums because taking the piss out of this game is much more fun than playing it lately. I totally agree with you. Unless you are a hardcore gamer or unemployed, a casual has little to no shot at every aquiring this companion. The mindless searching for droid parts that respawn in random locations set alarm bells ringing for me. I did try it over 2 days with 4-5 hours of searching and managed to get the first part that can be purchased from the pvp vendor and found another from the locations from the internet. The ones in the republic and empire Jedi ruins were terrible. With a group of 3 players canvasing the area grid searching, nothing turned up after 2 hours ( 4 hours total in both places ).... We were later told that the parts respawn can actually bug out and can not be found until server resets. I canceled my subscription. The mission to get this droid is the biggest crock of **** I have come across since the old school " How to become a Jedi in 6 years of real time" in the old star wars online game. EA can kiss my arse, they turned my fun time in SWTOR into frustration and hating the game. Good luck with it. To all those that already have the HK51 droid, good for you, you obviously have more time to waste than I do.

The quest to get this droid sucks if you are a casual player. Try spending 2 hours digging around for a random spawning droid part that can reset if someone else finds it first... ie you log out to go to work. Log back in after work and have to start your digging search all over again. Quest is borked. Some parts do not even spawn. Grats if you managed to get your droid, but some of us have no chance. So I am super happy it is bugged, and hope it remains so for ever and ever..mewahahahaha HK-51 can pucker up and kiss my bored, frustrated, time sink waste of my life mission log = abandon, subscription = cancel

An HK51 droid without having to do the stupid broken mission. Random parts spawn that don't even spawn.... yeah awesome idea there. Go back to killing a champion or something for the loot, keep it simple and do not waste casual players precious time who want to complete this quest.

Eh? Its fine for you, you got yours.. to spend 7 hours for a casual player just searching every 25 meters is crap, you may have to log and come back the next day, which if the part has been found by someone else, it has reset. It is quite possible if you only have a few hours to play at a time that you can never complete this mission... how is that fair? I don't deserve to play? I paid my subs, I tested beta, I trudged through many a bug, but this mission is lame and the fact the parts spawn can be bugged is even worse. Anyway I no longer care and am happy to haunt the forums until the sub runs out. " Hey.... yes I know we can build star ships, but here is your 25 meter range scanner... now off you run and try find the random spawning 1meter object in this 45 mile canyon " /epicfail

This missions sucks. Waste of time horrible and probably bugged. Spent 4 hours on 2 planets with no luck, everyone in chat saying how easy it is to find the parts " Oh I found all mine in less than 45 minutes each one" ...blah blah... so I get a 3 man group together and.... we find nothing in Jedi ruins for 2 hours..... yeah awesome SWTOR way to go. Whoever designed this mission with its lame 25 meter search radar..... 25 meters really? Oh and a random spawn every time it is found? really? Wow how does the droid part re bury itself in a different location. Probably bugged out and spawned the part out in space for all I know. reason to quit SWTOR .,..again... yip this will do it. Looking forward to filling in my " why are you leaving swtor"
