  1. That's why you roll on a PVE server. The pvp servers are pretty much pve servers aside from the "Let me go out of my way to find some world pvp". Theres no 'confilct' that can arise in the world unless you go look for it, besides the 3 times you run into the opposing while leveling.

As far as the mechanic change from HM to NiM, im not really too sure, but the strat below seems to be the best way to hand any difficulty of the encounter as it limits raid damage and knockbacks. The best way to manage the excessive damage on that fight is to have one person (usually the MT since he can't do much this fight) constantly checking bonethrashers target. Ranged is split into 4 groups, North south east and west, standing about 10-15 meters from the edge of the ring so you dont get knocked into the green death. When he targets a ranged, those not targeted run behind him, and then get back to original positions. When melee gets it, they need to make sure he gets dragged back to the center enough not to hit any ranged, and the rest of melee goes back behind him.
  3. Just curious why on my server theres only 33 people online in the Imperial fleet, but 8 instances up. anyone else seeing this as well?

  5. Hands down the worst idea I have ever heard. The reason these things are in the game are to distinguish are usually to distiguish those very skilled at something. In PVP in swtor, the title or gear have nothing to do with skill. It all boils down to time. If you have the time to grind out 70 levels of valor, you get the title and you, by then, should have full Battlemaster. If what the OP suggests was an accepted Idea, I would be the CEO of a billion dollar company for a few days and he would have to take my 5 figure pay, because that's the fair thing to do. I know that this is a game and not real live (well, to some of us it is ), and that should weigh even heavier on the fact that this just could never happen. PvP is meant to be competitive.
  6. The only bug in pylons is if the last tier only requires one move to solve, the terminal will freeze. Other than that, your doing it wrong.
  7. Yea, unfortunately those things aren't free for all rolls. We will generally throw them to the GM for the "Guild Bank" for those who dont need it, since that feature isn't quite in place yet. At this time, we don't repair for the guild.
  8. Just thought this was something of note, and kinda funny. Just saw the amount of credits you are rewarded when you kill and Ops boss to help defer the cost of wipes and repair. Did infernal council on 16m nightmare, and got a whopping 58 credits. I HATE doing dailies. But it is a necessary thing that needs to be done for progression. Would be nice to see this number significantly increased to help with the cost of repairs.
  9. Is this against raid bosses or players, just to confirm? I have never heard of anyone missing anything but their basic attack with 108% special attack accuracy, until now that is
  10. Makes absolutely no sense that it costs 30 Merc comms to trade back to 10 WZ comms.
  11. I think its a step in the right direction, but theres some things wanting in it. Its very difficult to tell which abilities are ready to use resource wise with these changes, and really, thats the the only issue i have.
  12. Heres an Idea, make the UI fully customizable so we can set it how we want it. Addons would be fun to.
  13. I really hope these changes your talking about are major buffs to all the other professions. Crafting is just so flat in this game atm and hope for the best. Artifice is useless unless you just want a pink light saber and are willing to cough up enough credits. I dont even bother crafting anymore because anything that i can possibly make, can just be replaced by dailies.
  14. Only found this in general forums under search and not here, but PLEASE, add keybinds for marking targets. such a pain to click the portrait on the fly when your in a tight situation.
  15. For us, south locks everytime before we move on. /win Its not a bug, the only bug is that they never told you that you failed at solving it.
  16. So the general consensus of almost everyone I talk to about this is "I saw maybe like 4 republic" when I was leveling." I remember when we were losing our minds waiting for this game, there was a nice developer dispatch about tracking of characters and who was where, while they were playing. I can attest to the opening statement in my post, I ran into 5, maybe at most 6, republic players while leveling. SIX! Republic and Empire share absolutely no objectives what so ever. We are completely secluded from each other, removing all point to having any kind of pvp/pve server. The PVP state of the game is horrible. If you want to pvp, you have queue, simple as that. I could have done that on any type of server. Where's the sense of "Ahh crap, i have to level in zone 'X'. I better watch out for republic." Thats what I always loved about playing on a PVP server. You never knew when the opposing faction was right nearby ready to kill you. It adds such a great Element to leveling and the game in general and is the ONLY reason I always pick PVP server.
  17. I helped kill about 25 players in ilum this morning, and i got credit for 7 of them. Asked about 5 times to be added to the raid group, but people must have been too busy keyboard smashing. Either we should be put into a raid group by default when entering the pvp area, or get credit for anyone we do damage to that goes down.
  18. nerf healing...stupid that i cant out dps a healers heals with 450 expertise with all my CD's popped...
  19. Horrible PR move. First content release and you push it back. Not really surprised though I must say. The bugs that have been plaguing end game are still not fixed, so i'm sure thats why they're postponing. (Sarcasm just in case someone didn't get that)
  20. It's not bugged. Its a puzzle. Figure out the order (besides just the tiers on each pylon), collect loot. It's easy enough that all you do is kill adds to get good gear. It's good to do research and find out what other people are doing before you flame an encounter that "YOU JUST CANT SOLVE GG". HINT - For hard Locking the south pylon first worked everytime.

It's good to also note that if you just stand there and let it come to you, your gonna take 2-3* the amount of damage you have to because of the aoe static damage it puts off to people around it. That might be why it seems to be 1 shotting people, because its doing tics of 6k before it explodes
  22. I agree that they don't quite prepare you for that last phase with the force lightning, but I really like this fight and the fact that it takes some attempts and is not just a "easy" hard mode. The flashpoints should all be "normal, lvl 50, and Hard" so that people know they need to be geared up heavy to do it, which semi seems the case now.
