  1. My experience has proven it doesn't take long to travel. If I want to zoom quick, I hit space to get through cut scenes. It's literally takes less than 5 seconds to load then onto the next 5 second step. The longest loading screen is when I actually get onto planet. I have a mid range machine, basic cable internet, and a mid range video card. So no technical advantage. While it's enough for you to have that cinematic once, great, you can skip it. I actually like that there is more to support the immersion than just a cut scene which includes an orbital station because I can't land my ship on the planet for reason A or B. Or just mingle unmolested while waiting for my group. And that's kinda what this boil down to: the immersion of traveling to and fro. Some of you are into less aesthetic or immersible elements of the game since you have seen it once or a hundred times. I fully support those who want a faster form of travel (and believe me it will come. The game is just a month old. By the time it reaches 12 months, most of the "usual" bells and whistles players expect/demand will be in the game). I encourage the constructive exchange of ideas and discussion on how to best accomplish it. I do not support that advocating of removing immersible elements I enjoy to compensate for another players impatience or lack of interest in enjoying the scenery/immersible elements.
  2. So taking an extra 45-120 seconds to get to your guildies to help is the issue? It takes me literally less than 5 minutes to travel to any part of the galaxy to help my friends. You absolutely cannot do that in another game without teleporting. Try traveling from one continent to another in WoW, then take a flight path to get to your destination. The flight paths took so long, a flight path timer mod was developed so you knew how much time you could spend taking a break! I understand the orbital stations seemingly annoying and useless, but I understand why they are there. Story and such; not every planet has a space station or faction granted permission to build there.
  3. Heya! You can still get Stalwart by running the instance again and choosing the right conversation choices.
  4. hahahahahahahaha. . . . . oh thank you I needed a good laugh. These satire like posts are my favorite. Pretending to be some indecisive or lone player with no friends or guildies to fill roles, respeccing back and forth repeatedly like a madman. I love how you helped people in the threads start to banter back and forth on dual spec and flaws of actually being decisive and informative when choosing an advance class. Thanks!
  5. I don't understand the issue. I understand being aware of buff timings and procs. I understand keeping your eyes on the game. I am confused at the problem of being able to do both without squinting or looking away from the battle? Can you explain why it's an issue to see both what your character is doing and the procs/timing of buffs? I'm able to see both without compromising any combat issues. I have a pretty decent monitor size which may help me out. And with the upcoming UI customizations, I think this will solve any lingering issues.
  6. lol I think you guys are getting way ahead of yourselves. Once you hit 50 and run a few times, this won't be an issue at all. Especially if take 20 seconds to actually talk to your group. Communicating in group is highly recommended. Especially for what seems to be the type of people here who only want to roll on gear.
  7. there is a path. participate in the multiplayer portion of the MMO. Or go without.
  8. I think it's more than just farming the lockboxes. The team just doesn't look at what you were farming but also what you did with the items/credits after.
  9. lol you didn't even read any of the remarks. But thanks for contributing.
  10. lol the interdependency I'm talking about is the rare crewskills missions for your bioanalysis and diplomacy that you won't get with just those skills or rare schematics you can't purchase from vendors. Biochem is a great crewskill. No denying that. However you will need the fun colored crystals to min/max out your dps/crit/etc. as well the other crewskills for crafted items from schematics we haven't even seen yet. Technically, you can just use one crafting crewskill with the accompanying gathering and special mission crewskills. But you will miss out. lol and yes voicing our concerns is how change starts.
  11. I personally think an interdependency of crewskills and crafting is a good thing for the game economy. It bolsters the community, trade, and can ensure no man is an island onto his craft - so to speak. Slicing was always kind of an odd child out in the crewskill family. But it's a good skill for the genre and for non-crafters. A much better 'nerf' would have been to increase the time of slicing missions to compensate for the generally good to great payouts instead of changing to a break even or small payout 'nerf'. Don't worry though folks. As long as we are voicing our concerns, issues, and problems we will at least get more insight into the how/why. Possibly even influence the next 'nerf'.
  12. Treasure hunting return based on lockbox missions is worse than Slicing. BUT treasure hunting also has missions that provide needed mats for prototype and above crafting schematics.
  13. Yep. After playing around since patching yesterday, slicing is pretty useless. The rare chance of mission and item drops with the money cases doesn't justify the crewskill now. After skilling up from 150 to 400, I have made 2300k 'profit' in credits and 6 prototype/rare mission drops. While the drops could be bad rolls on the table, the credits are pretty consistently low. At this rate, it would be better to delete Slicing from the game and have the uncommon, rare, prototype, etc. mission drops and augments applied to a different crewskill.
