  1. Update: I switched to the new security key today, and my account page now shows today's date as the day the Security Key was added. No initial coin grant occurred, as it would with a first time security key addition. I'll need to wait over a week now to see if the bonus coin grant occurs on its original schedule.
  2. Still getting the bonus coins with no lag or lost days? That's great. Did you see OwenBrooks's helpful post above? He links to his support article that may help you find alternate authenticator programs. http://answers.ea.com/t5/STAR-WARS-The-Old-Republic/INFO-SWTOR-Security-Key-Issues/td-p/4833445/jump-to/first-unread-message
  3. From this support article: Not much help there; the language is too ambiguous when applied to this situation. This appears to be the best option (though it doesn't explain how a break in authenticator continuity would effect the bonus coin grant): I wonder if connecting a security key immediately grants initial bonus coins every time, regardless of how recently you got your last initial bonus coins... Edit: Derp, there is no “Replace my Security Key” option on my account. Back to square one.
  4. Swapping to a new phone tomorrow, so I need to deactivate my current mobile authenticator (aka "SWTOR Security Key") and then activate one on the new phone. Do I risk delaying or losing out on the monthly bonus 100 Cartel Coins? Any idea how the "month" is calculated? For instance, it might be based on # of days since the authenticator was activated, in which case I'd be resetting my bonus count and effectively losing next month's bonus. Or if it works by simply counting the total number of days an authenticator has been attached, then I won't miss out on anything. Thanks!
  5. Mods at that level sell decently, like Advanced Lethal Mod 29 (Mast>Pow>End), which makes me doubt your explanation, Eartharioch. Besides, I made it to level 55 without hearing of a Makeb run or knowing what a bolster is, and Im not sure other leveling players would necessarily know about that, either. Or is there some reason level 52 toons would want mods but not enhancements?
  6. Advanced Initiative Enhancement 29 (Acc>Pow>End) and Advanced Adept Enhancements 29 (Crit>Pow>End) aren't selling for me, at least not at that level (52). Are there more desirable enhancements for leveling dps? Thanks!
  7. I see your point, Mr. Rogue. If we re-conceptualize all requests, suggestions, and criticism with the dismissive term "complaint," we avoid the burden of critical thinking or potential extra work for ourselves. This is a particularly effective coping mechanism for people in authority or with responsibility over others, and I hope you are both! Your charges will be well-rounded automatons free from the burden of independent thought.
  8. I agree with the OP's sentiment, if not all of his arguments. It's disingenuous to call a game free-to-play and then gimp the players as badly as SWTOR does. In SWTOR, it sucks to be free-to-play. "Preferred" status in not much better; it's just F2P with a couple unlocks. The RMT implementation feels like nagware; like condescension; a constant burden of nickel-and-diming. It doesn't have to be like that. You can make players want to buy stuff and like doing it! Look at Guild Wars 2 or Champions Online.

  10. Same problem here. Ran it many times before I noticed I was getting Brazing Fluxes instead.
