  1. If you can have the option of chosing wether to look x-server or not, all good and fine. I for my part was sorely dissapointed with too many groups in WoW which basically treated people found via the LFD tool as NPCs - something the system spits out on demand to help them reaching a certain goal. I would not want to experience that ever again, rather have no LFD tool at all.
  2. I am terribly tired of PvP where dps classes can kill you so fast you can hardly react. Had that in "the other game", and now it is happening here too. Where is the fun in that again if you happen to say play a healer? If dps can crit for 8k, I want my heals to be able to do the same.
  3. While patch 1.2 has brought some nice additions, none of the features I was wishing for most was included. No dual spec, no shared bankspace between alts, no groupfinder. And my jedi knight has gone bald, in addition to her ridicilously oversized butt *sigh* I had also enjoyed pvping as healer on my scoundrel, after the patch I wonder if that role is worth playing anymore as dps seems to have gone through the roof, but my heals haven't. Let me tell you that I enjoy seeing big numbers and killing enemies just as much as the next guy, so why should I stick to healing again when I can hardly keep anyone alive anymore because dps has gone silly? So my overall feeling in regards to this patch is one of dissapointment. And don't even remind me of Corso losing his pull ability, which completely wrecked my scoundrel's solo playstyle. Not a happy bunny here...
  4. This. I did it yesterday as newly dinged lvl 50 guardian, with T7 in a mix of lvl 30ish and 50ish gear. He even survived the whole fight.
  5. Exactly the opposide experience. My jedi guardian made 50 the other day, and even tho killing standard stuff wasn't hard, it feels slow compared to what my shadow (39) can do. Both are full tank specced and have a healer in tow. Add to that the jedi _has_ to kill about everything in his path, where the shadow can sneak past it. Also, the shadow can do Heroics 2+ by himself, and even has a shot at soloing heroic 4s, unthinkable for my guardian tank. Case in point - the bonus quest on Balmorra asks you at some point to go kill Lord Tharsus (? or some similar name). He does hit reasonably hard. I soloed that chain up to that point on my guardian, but had no chance to kill him on my own. My shadow at the same point breezed through that kill solo. Finally I get the feeling my guardian's threat is rather on the low side, even when teaming with others who are just about 48/49 I have to work hard to keep mobs on me. That is coming from someone who played raid tanks for several years in other similar MMOs, so I don't put it down to a general lack of experience. So overall - the guardian does feel sluggish and in parts underpowered compared to a shadow tank.
  6. A LFG tool which actually allows me to go quest / do whatever off the fleet while waiting for a group - great. As long as it is NOT cross-server, or at least allows the option of only looking on your home server. The current LFG system is abysmal to say it friendly. An improvement is very much needed!
  7. Will you introduce shared bankspace across all characters on the same server / faction? That would make crafting so much easier, especially with the long loading times for switching between characters.
  8. Things to relieve the ship-droid-pain: 1) Play a jedi consular. Their ship design allows you to bypass the stupid droid on the way out, one annoying comment saved. 2) Play in windowed mode, as soon as the droid pipes up, switch to a different window for a moment - an effective and fast sound on/off switch kind of.
  9. Will there ever be shared bankspace between my characters on the same server / faction?
  10. Go cybertech, get orange gear for your companion of choice and you are pretty much set. Only need to get enhancements from quests / tokens that way.
  11. Yep really annoying me too. I play a female bodytype 3, because only that way the face came out as I wanted it. Now I have to stare at that huge butt all the time I have a smuggler with a similar setup, luckily in medium armour there is more choice so I can actually cover up that butt in a decent enough way. With jedi robes all is lost though...
  12. So you are saying for the sake of realism we should recreate all the really boring and time-consuming activities with this virtual world which is supposed to provide a pleasant sparetime experience? I rather stick to reallife in that case, thanks much. At least the graphics are far superior. This thread again is populated by many people who are in no way prepared to accept that there are different opinions which are just as valid as their own, and different ways to enjoy a game. Makes discussion quite pointless sadly.
  13. You are not seriously saying you enjoyed staring at your screen for one hour, watching your char on a boat, do you? I know I know, in the good old times you went everywhere on foot too, in winter and uphill - all the time! Apart from that, if I have say two hours of playtime on a given evening, I would certainly pick a more interesting activity than spending half of that (or more) with watching my char do some boring travelling. Which I am kinda doing anyhow while playing this game I fully agree with those posters asking to reduce travelling times, especially related to accessing / leaving player ships. Not being able to use my speeder in those spaceports really annoys me. And that ship droid drives me insane too - the other day I actually tried to sneak past him in stealth, which in fact did not trigger him. But the ship exit refused to work...
  14. Very much like the OP's idea, was actually thinking about the same lines the other day when spending endless time logging between all of my crafting alts. As a minimum, I'd love to see a shared bank vault though for legacy characters!
  15. I haven't got treasure hunting at 400 yet, so can't help you there.
  16. Supposedly changing zone also updates the mission list, I have not tried it yet but maybe that will help with your problem. Else the completion of a mission definitely updates the list from my experience. So if there is nothing useful on it for you, run one mission and see what you get after that (or try the zone-change-thing).
  17. Check out the Q+A section on this news article on the official swtor site: http://www.swtor.com/news/news-article/20110916 Quote from an answer given by BW: "A: Dual Speccing is something we want to add soon after launch." I am very much looking forward to getting dual spec as it will allow me to play a far more versatile character than right now.
