  1. I agree. Not a fan of the new tooltips.
  2. Why should someone who hasn't run a FP before be barred from running it with those who can easily teach it to them?
  3. yeah the background doesn't bother me too much. But the background showing through the tool tip making it hard to read is really tickin me off.
  4. Has anyone else noticed this since 2.1? My tool tips are suddenly transparent and I can't find the setting to make them opaque again.
  5. Despite your attempt to drag this down into an argument over semantics, you have not proven that players who willingly enter the PvP area have been forced to do so. The point can't be argued even. If players want more reward to turn in for reputation points they may choose to do the PvP missions in the PvP flagged area. If they do not choose to be engaged by other players they may avoid this area and still eventually be able to purchase the event items from the vendors.
  6. Even when those ideas may broaden the games appeal and end up brining even more players into the game? That's rather narrow minded.
  7. Your premise that the so called rights of the PvE players in the gree event were violated is flawed and has no validity. No one is debating this point. Everyone here agrees the exploits to flag other players to PvP status need to be removed. However your portrayal of those momentarily impacted by it as injured victims is over the top. No matter how many times you falsely accuse me of being uncivil and telling me to stop posting here you still do not have the authority to deny my posting privileges.
  8. Your examples of who might possibly be "harmed" by a PvP encounter are so over the top you make a mockery of yourself. Honestly, a 4 year old? Anyone that delicate should not be participating in such an overly "stressful" pastime. Also your vilification of all PvP players over the actions of a few is dishonest. I and others in this thread have suggested the only solution that needs to be enacted. Removing the autoflag triggers will prevent anyone from being autoflagged to PvP status against their will. At that point the only way they can go PvP is to willingly choose to do so.
  9. The fact that you attempt to dismiss my counter points does not mean I have not made them. I have actually been rather polite to you considering your condescending and rude attitude towards those who don't agree with you. All players can expect equal Event reward potential. This can not be denied. They may not want to do all the missions, but they are able to do so. PvEers can declare themselves strict PvE only players. The Event will still work for them just as it does for all other players partaking in it. PvPers have just as much right to declare themselves strict PvP only players just as PvE players can declare themselves strict PvE only players. You can not say one play style is able to make such a declaration while denying all other play styles from doing the same. Trying to do so just makes you look hypocritical. Despite your repeated attempts you don't have the authority to speak for other players and decree what they may or may not consider inherently objectionable. The fact that I don't immediately cave in to your repeated attempts to declare yours the only possible truth is a testament to my ability to wield logic and construct valid proofs. The original poster made a ridiculous post complaining about being killed by other players in a PvP zone. Considering his post the replies to it were tame. Everything about his post was unreasonable. But if you don't care for my opinion you just go ahead and get my 30 day ban started.
  10. On PvE servers they need to have death automatically unflag you from PvP status. Problem solved. On PvP servers they need to give you more options on where to respawn so that you don't have to pop up right under the med center griefers feet time after time. Problem solved.
  11. Unless the one I saw was indeed the quest reward from Coruscant and unmoddable there is one somewhere. As I didn't get a chance to inspect it I'll probably never know for certain. Thanks for all the info everyone.
  12. I know next to nothing as the player was not forthcoming with the info. But it was being worn by a female character. I don't know what level, green, blue, orange, purple. The version I know is the Aspiring Knights Vest have no idea what the name of the item I saw is. A google search has been fruitless as I know so little about it. Tor-Fashion might help. I couldn't remember it. I'll look there next. Thanks
  13. I have seen someone wearing a white version of this item. http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/gear/21086/aspiring-knights-vest Does anyone know where and how the white version of it is obtained? The person I saw wearing it was less than forthcoming.
  14. Do the math. For a F2P player to get the same access to the content you have as a subscriber plus 500 coins they would have to pay far more that $15. Subscribers are getting a deal and a half.
  15. Pretty sure that just refers to the F2P people being able to buy more than the 2 character slots allowed at start. I don't believe it means subscribers can go above the 12 character per server limit.
  16. No I hadn't as I never log off not in a resting area. If it's true then that would be a bug that needs fixing. Do that and give people a proper option instead of removing or altering the rate of rested xp for those who are fine with it.
  17. A discussion group in Manhattan when they work on the game out of Austin? Sounds fishy to me.
  18. You might, but I wouldn't. I would walk away from this game just like the other games I really liked that went free to play. I just won't do it.
  19. My second 50 never had rested xp and was still overleveled all the time. Rested xp couldn't have been the reason for it.
