  1. It's a great game. Those are all flaws that all mmo's have. In my case I'm thinking of not continuing my subscription because I'm primarily a PVP'er, and when I'm online doesn't work for PVP. I'm on in the morning, and I can't do Illum because there's maybe 3-4 Republic there, and 7 Imps. I can't do Warzones because the queue never pops because there's not enough people queuing. Problems that would be alleviated by cross realm queuing, but whether that patch comes before my sub runs out is doubtful. I'm not into the PVE of this game because I've never been a fan of the whole cake walk through it on normal, and just up the difficulty by changing it to hard mode or nightmare afterwards. I prefer it when the progression comes from progress in a raid, not on a difficulty setting. It just gets boring really quick the current way. It's one of the reasons PVE in WoW started to turn me off. What ever happened to progressing through a raid by boss fights? Since I'm not interested in the PVE in this game I'm pretty much playing for PVP, and when that's not working for me what else is left?
  2. Lucky for me that Bioware got lazy on my companions. I'm a Trooper so all my companions use the same kind of gear as me, except the droid of course. I was wondering how I managed that great luck in getting the whole set from a flashpoint for my companion. Turns out it wasn't luck at all.
  3. I've done the whole Trooper story, and am on the first act of the consular story. The Consular act 1 feels bleh compared to Trooper. I'll continue talking in the spoiler tag since I will be revealing spoilers from the Trooper and Consular story.
  4. This. I love that Bioware is listening and making changes, but things like UI changes seem like things better left to the community to work on. It just seems like minor annoyances that shouldn't take time away from other pressing issues. If it's an issue of Bioware not wanting us to access certain things, that's fine. I'm sure they can set limitations on what an addon can do. Limit them to UI changes, or something.
  5. I think it depends on what item you can make. I regularly sell the highest level Endowment (crit and surge) belt and bracers learned from the trainer for 75k each, 100k if it has an augment slot. I think I'm the only one on the server who can craft them, but it shows that Armormech can make money; It's just very reliant on the recipes. Belts and bracers are where you can grab a corner of the market. If you get some of the patterns that drop in operations you can also make good cash on those, but the mats required make it a bit annoying to craft. My point is that Armormech can make money, but it takes a lot of money to make money in this crew skill. You first need to find out which recipe will sell. Browse the GTN to see what's missing. Once you find an item that you see will fill a need, start RE'ing to get the best version of that item.
  6. This happened to me. I went to Nar Shaadar first because I wanted the companion from there first. At first I thought she came with the ship like C2-N2. I was like whoa, I didn't know I had a slave on the ship.
  7. It's a constant reminder of how I failed and stepped in the fire. What happened to me was my companion caught fire, then I caught fire trying to move her out so the quest failed, but then reset back to not failed. From then on it just stays there mocking me.
  8. I want to gear him, but as Gunnery I have a hard time putting the effort into gearing him when I don't need him. No matter what companion I use I always end up going back to Dorne because she compliments the spec better.
  9. What's really annoying is when the bar is full, but not white so you have to eat another full CC.
  10. Or maybe they just don't want to be spammed by your tickets anymore. From what I hear this problem has been there long since beta, and I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for them to fix it asap. I hope I'm wrong, please prove me wrong Bioware.
  11. It's like that because it would be too much burst if you can plant a sticky and a plastique on a target. I do think that they shouldn't share the cd. Using one should trigger a small cd that prevents placing 2 on the same target. It's understandable having an abilities that replace other abilities, but Assault Plastique isn't good enough to replace the sticky grenade.
  12. They already went that way. Play other classes and see for yourself. They are leaving one class without the ability. Every class has the same abilities, there are just some abilities that are left out of certain classes. Knock backs are pretty standard. I know there are classes that didn't get one, but they in turn get an equivalent of a knock back that works better for their class. I don't know what the equivalent of an in combat rez would be. If Sages are the only one's with an in combat rez, that's fine, but if Scoundrels get one too, then I think Combat Medic should have one too. It's funny how that works. If one person has something that everyone else doesn't, it's a class having a unique ability. If everyone has the ability, but one class doesn't, then it's bs. When I say everyone I'm referring to a certain group, healers in this case. I'm all for having unique abilities, but if one class gets something, another will want something too.
  13. For DPS Dorne is the go to choice. I've never been a fan of the tank companions in this game. They got the aggro part down, but they take too much damage. It's a bad combination. They aggro more than they can withstand. I'm thinking it's this way on purpose. Bioware didn't want people taking a companion to tank for groups, in the same way that a companion healer won't be able to heal a group. They can heal 1 person in the group, but if more than 1 person takes damage they won't be able to keep up. I don't know exactly what your spec will be, but Assault Spec has some talent points that require you to be targeted to get the their effect. You wouldn't want a tank companion if you spec into those points, since a tank companion would have enemies attacking it instead of you.
  14. I only read 2 pages of the thread, then stoped because many of the responses weren't helping at all. They were just Commandos are over powered posts in disguise, so I apologize if this has been said. It's really important that you gear Dorne. As Commandos we don't have a taunt, which is probably why you're running into these problems on class quest fights that usually make you fight before you are ready. If you have trouble on normal fights where you can choose how you want to pull them, well that's another issues, but this has to do with class quest stuff. In the situation where they all attack Dorne, you pretty much need to act quickly. You don't have much time before you guys lose enough hp to make the fight not winnable. Dorne isn't good at healing spike damage. Slap a sticky grenade on one, and Cryo grenade another, then proceed to get some aoe going. Once you get them on you pop your defensive cd's. If that doesn't give Dorne enough time to catch up on healing, then you're just not doing enough damage. As Gunnery we are burst. You should be able to burst down enough enemies to make the fight favor you. I'm level 50, so it might be different for lower levels, but a pack of 1 gold, 2 silvers, and some odd normal enemies is very doable. That's why we can usually solo 2+ Heroics. We just have so much burst. It might eat your ammo to burst at the max potential, but the goal is to kill the enemies as fast as possible to even out the numbers.
