  1. I am playing my Jedi Shadow as a pure and full LS Jedi. I don't see how being in a relationship is considered ok. Attachments are very dangerous to a Jedi and could put them on a path to the Dark Side. What if your wife/girlfriend is captured or killed? Would you be strong enough not to become emotional or angry? How about feeling like revenge? Whether or not Jedi in some of the novels or even in this game are married, I just don't see how it's acceptable. A Jedi's duty is also to the Republic first and foremost. He would have to neglect his family quite a lot to truly be a Jedi which seems pretty selfish. Anyone else feel this way? Most forum posts I've read seem ok with the romance idea and people really want it. Feels so wrong to me though.
  2. Threads like this come up fairly often. The general consensus seems to be doing one of these: If going Infiltration, then you need to use Combat Technique with a shield and Tharan to heal you for elites. Keep his gear up to date You can just spec Kinetic and tear through everything with ease. Use Tharan for elites if you want or just use Zenith or Nadia and fly through everything. I went this route and it's been great. Kinetic seems to be the best way to level. It makes everything pretty easy and still fun imho. You can choose to level as Infiltration spec but everything will definitely be more challenging. Not impossible just difficult.
  3. I think so. I maxed out her affection and she doesn't ask to talk anymore. I am currently level 50 on Corellia. She was hitting on me pretty hard during her conversations. I got to a point where I was able to say something like "No, it would never work between us" after a bit. It was tough because even some of the seemingly innocuous answers led to me reciprocating so I had to esc out a bit and do it over. Seems like the game was really trying to make it happen which I didn't like. Whether the council would allow it or not, it feels wrong to me. The whole story shown to us during the prequels demonstrates the dangers of falling in love with someone. Also one of the early quests on Tython.
  4. I took a bunch of them during dialogues. Most came out fine but a few were just black screens. Seems to work mostly alright for me. Did you try taking a bunch of them?
  5. Are you looking for some orange gear that you can keep upgraded? If so, this is what I am wearing: http://www.torhead.com/item/aaFMdIR/muse-lower-robe#. Alderaan equipment commendation vendor has it. Costs 12 commendations.
  6. http://i.imgur.com/z0CgC.jpg Chest = Traditional Lashaa Silk Vestments (Nar Shadaa heroic quest) Legs = Muse Lower Robe (Alderaan Commendation Equipment)
  7. It does seem a bit late in the game for male consulars. I don't mind though since I am playing a light side Jedi. Romancing would be very much against the Jedi code that I could never do it. I had to let Nadia down gently
  8. Tank spec really is the way to go. Full on kinetic or a 23/0/18 hybrid is great. I went with the hybrid myself and am loving it. I use Zenith or Nadia for dps and Tharan for the really tough fights.
  9. I had pretty much the same issue. My solution was to respec into a tank spec. I am going for a bit of a hybrid tank : http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#601bIbokrskZZf0cRrMz.1 I will probably end up moving a few points around. Level 47 now and it's been wonderful leveling this way. I use dps companions for most fights but swap out Tharan for heals when I need it. Can easily do most Heroic 2+ by yourself and is a lot of fun. Just make sure you keep Tharan geared up for some really nice heals. If you are still having issues, take off his attacks and just make him heal you. Just keep in mind that Shadow tanks get hurt with big groups so try to CC as much as you can.
  10. My guardian is level 33 and so far every group I've been in just assumes I am a tank. I carry a shield and use Soresu form and it works well enough. I do wish people would ask first though. I ended up finally changing over to a tank spec on my shadow and I may just do the same on my guardian. I will test it out when I get the healing companion.
  11. I am currently level 37 so I still have quite a ways to go. I only switched to a tank a couple of levels ago but I am so happy that I did. I use Tharan to heal me. Killing is not all that much slower than full on inf spec and it is pretty awesome being able to kill champions by yourself. Heroic 2+ seems fine but of course slower than being in a group. It's also very easy getting into a group as a tank if you don't want to do them alone.
  12. I just got one from a lockbox. First one I've seen. It only has 2 slots, amoring & mod. No enhancement slot. Is that normal?
  13. This is when I realized it also. When I went back to do Nar Shaddaa's bonus series, the game suddenly jumped in difficulty. Before this, I had no problems taking on equal level elites or any other usual group of mobs. I am now thinking of switching to a kinetic spec from infiltration. I made sure my gear and Theran's was up to date but I still die too much so hopefully the tank spec helps. It will also be nice to get into groups right away
  14. The voice acting is very well done. You may not like it and that's ok but to say it's horrible is just being a troll. Also if you actually watched the original trilogy, you would have noticed that many people in the Empire have British accents. I'll give you a 2/10 for your troll efforts. Keep trying, you'll get there.
  15. I agree that there should be something more to let me know when an ability procs. My favorite way of doing this is in Rift. If an ability procs, a button would pop up above the quickbar and make a noise. It is very obvious and hard to miss. I am finding that I almost never use High Impact Bolt on my trooper because I don't see when it procs. It only lights up after the GCD is up and since I am already spamming stuff, it's too late to see it. Something like this would help a lot.
