  1. Overly broad application of a few exceptions. Just because it happens every so often does not mean it is the norm. I find that most of the time how the match starts dictates how it will end. People will keep doing what they always do without adapting and it is usually very obvious what the outcome will be. When I find myself wanting to leave I don't because I don't want to waste the 10 minutes spent there already. The outcome is almost always the same and usually is a result of lemmings doing the same thing over and over that keeps not working over and over. I will say if I see someone who is to lazy to at least gear themselves to maximize bolster until they outfit in PVP gear I will leave. That person is more often than not, there are exceptions for skillful players, a fifth wheel hampering their team because they are lazy. Let's play in PVE gear with 1200 expertise, I can contribute!!! /leave
  2. I want to start getting penalized for leaving warzones. -Fixed

    Sith Sorc

You are asking the wrong question or rather not asking. You are assuming the uptick has to do with their new "overpowered" status. The truth is sorcs have always been one of the most played classes. They shoot lightning and have Sidious as their archetype. Have you ever seen a most powerful sith lord thread. Anyone who dares say Sidious isn't number 1 sparks hundreds of pages of arguing to the point of rage. It is really no mystery at the classes populatiry for any thinking person.

    Sith Sorc

You mean like I have since beta. I think the current state of the sorc is long overdue considering how bad it was for most of the classes existence.
  5. The return of the 36/36/36 spec. Those sorcs are so OP, they need to nerf that spec.
  6. So your problem is you focused a sorc, got them down so far they needed to pop a 3 minute cd and they didn't die? So the lesson here is you won until they used a long CD which needs to be be looked at so they will just die instead? I'm confused.
  7. Unbound, removes movement impairing effects on predation. Expunge, removes cleansable effects, read roots, on force camo. Force charge and oblit remove root. When exactly were you planning on being rooted just wondering.
  8. You do not get rooted with impunity. You get rooted for 5 seconds IF a sorc takes the appropriate talent and it breaks with damage after 2s so it really only lasts 2s given you will have perma affliction up if you are fighting them every 20s which means the sorc gave up something else such as bubble blind or root break on force speed. You can be rooted for .5s, lol at that .5s root, and slowed for 6s which a mara can also do and MUCH more frequently. On top of this you can run around with predation negating the root to nothing more than a speedbump. Mara's have tools to deal with this kind of stuff, it is a L2P issue if you don't use them. The issue mara's currently face is squishiness without a dedicated healer unlike juggs who can run around forever and not die. I personally unremitting needs to go period or be cut in half as 8s of free damage is an eternity to the guy you get the free hits on. At the very least it does not need to be expanded.
  9. I have news for you. Every class has it's problem class. I would love to have a counter to the 17s worth of total CC immunity a typical hatred assassin has. You won't find any posts from me whining about them though minus commenting in a pre-existing thread that their discipline talents to seem a bit over the top after looking more closely at them. L2P and adjust rather than expecting a free pass which is what you are doing. I have both a mara and a sorc as mains so this is viewed from both sides of the isle. It sucks to be standing in place but no class is perfect. P.S. I have had used to great effect against myself and have also done so vs others predation. Running around at lightning speed pretty much permanently is awesome. You should try it.
  10. You clearly haven't thought this through. Giving you immunity to some classes only way of keeping you off them is like giving them a resolve bar to your damage once you do enough. That is just preposterous. You propose a circumstance whereby a class is basically a free kill for you rather than managing your CDs to do damage in spurts just like they must do once you close. That kind of thinking is a L2P issue. In the current environment where some classes are entirely dependent on keeping melee at range to avoid death giving all melee unremitting or adding roots and/or slows to resolve is simply not workable. We will need defensive CDs to compensate FIRST not 6 months after the change takes affect.
  11. Someone was able to do gobs of damage using two high damage aoe attacks in an arena match where the opposition were no doubt close together and let them free cast? Wow, that is so amazing!
  12. Piggyback. CL, instant LB and LF are often up at the same time. By time you get through all of that TB will be up again as will CD. You will have time for a stand still LB here plus CD. Most of the time you should be moving. Shock with the talent does actually do more average damage than LB but comes with none of the perks of LB and the average damage is only part of the story since 50% of the time it will be less damage. Not worth it imo.
  13. If you take egress, root and bubblestun you cannot get corrupted bubble as it leaves you just 1 point. Either that or you give up force mobility. Sorcs also take more damage than others having the fewest ways to mitigate it. They have to heal 2 full instead or avoid damage through properly timed skill usage. Bubblestun is a mez btw which means it breaks on damage including the affliction you likely will have on you the next tick. Without the root on sorc KB the KB itself is completely useless, it's the only KB that has no secondary effect to prevent the target from running right back into your face instantly, is the only non-360 kb and also has the shortest KB range as far as I am aware. I think you're rear is sore or something.
  14. You will note I never commented on whether sorcs or fs is overpowered. I only commented that your particular example is foolishness and simply not true so find another reason that is valid. You obviously didn't listen.
  15. Let me start by stating yes I main a sorc. I am not commenting either way on whether to nerf FS. I merely wish to point out how fallacious this argument is. You do not see sorcs topping the damage charts by only using FS. In fact there is a recent video tutorial floating around where someone humorously put just FS on every quickbar slot but one for bubble. They did nothing but FS for 15m and and were 3-400k behind a couple others, at least one a sorc, using their actual ability rotation. If you want to nerf FS it shall not be for the absolutely dumb argument of you can top the damage charts using just that ability. Such a statement is patently false and I highly doubt the poster quote has even tested this. He is just pulling a random "fact" from his backside then drawing a conclusion from it. As with most backside comments it takes longer to address it with actual facts and/or logic than it does to spout the original nonsense.
  16. Wow. Looking at their discipline talents I wanna roll one. We are forced to pick and choose giving this up for that. They can have their cake and eat it too. Lol, who thought this was a great idea given the sacrifices other classes have to make to get key abilities. Electric bindings to make the KB we have not worthless is 2nd tier for sorcs, if it was 1st everyone would have it. Assassin's however get it 1st tier. What? lol Shapeless spirit heroic for sorcs tier 1 for assassins? Oh well that just means all their heroic stuff sucks right cuz all the good stuff is low? Nope, not so much it turns out. Honestly, it is overboard I have to agree.
  17. I do when I remember but often I forget. Sometimes there isn't time for a standing cast so I have to skip it anyways. If I can fit it in I will do so though, if I remember. Still getting used to the new discipline priority so I don't always. I am also not certain if that is optimal. I just kind of assumed it was but I don't remember if it was in the list of priorities on dulfy or not when I was looking for advice on that kind of stuff from the math people.
  18. I actually just returned from a hiatus so can't help you there. I haven't faced enough to even be motivated to think how do I face this particular discipline. A lot has changed since I played last with 3.0 rollout. Still getting comfortable with the new disciplines and still need to level some other characters such as my 55 mara. Much of what I have observed so far has been positive though. I think sorc healing is in a great spot for instance. Almost everything is castable on the move. I was doing 14-1500 hps without really being that good last night. I'm pretty certain I suck at healing since it has changed so much and I've only done a few matches give or take as heals so far. Can't wait to get normalized in "feel" for the role.
  19. With force mobility you will rarely have to stand still for anything but FL including LB. It has other things it can proc such as alacrity, CL and force regen, will frequently proc to be instant from FS and also being dmged. I cant count the # of times I have cast LB 2 or 3 times in a row due to being hit. LB>CL>LB>LB or something like that as it procs so much. I cannot find anything hard in the few seconds I had to search but I would swear there is no rate limiter on procing it with how much it is up and instant cast. LB is great, cast it in place of FL and use FL for a second slow or quick interrupt on a cap. Found it, every 8 seconds. LB>CL>LB is such a frequent cast for me though all instant. Then lightning flash is up by then or TB. There is really no room for FL in the DPS rotation. It does nothing for you and receives no buffs. Only the slow is useful for utility. Also forgot LB procs forked lightning as well and the chance doubles under the effects of polarity shift. I think it also lowers the CD of PS by 1 every cast as well with PVP set bonus.
  20. I have found that on my main quickbar I have room for one extra ability. Even with the chain shock it does less average damage than FL. Being instant still isn't useful since we have so much mobility now one extra instant in this case is simply a waste of a global. FL on the other hand in PVP can serve as a second 50% slow if your force slow is on CD and being at 35m still serves as a convenient interrupt if nothing else is up. It has some limited utility in PVP and therefore should be on your hotbar. It is not in your DPS rotation but the 50% slow is useful at times.
  21. I second this. We can have it only autocrit on people with affliction but it should apply affliction automatically to be balanced. Let's get this in!
  22. Oh the irony of correcting someone about context when he clearly stated, unless you are pushing rating, indicating his context was pvp. :rak_02: You win at the internet. :rak_02:
