I got token 1 on day A. 30+ bags later, on Day P I got token 2. My odds are much lower than 25% apparently.

I hit BM two weeks ago. I am a very casual player, and did not exploit a single thing (or farm any valor at all). You are dead wrong. I know plenty of legit BM's that have been BM for quite some time. Get your "Fact"s straight.

This has probably been said already, but I am far too lazy to read the entire post....so here goes. Battle Master gear is a very minor upgrade over Champion gear. Champion gear is now very easy to obtain (unlike when some of us were trying to obtain it). The end. If you cannot compete in Champion gear, BM gear isn't going to help you either.

Dumbest idea ever. Some people do not have all night to get thrown into losing games that have already been failed by some valor farming, green gear wearing, BM scrubs. These games can still last a good 10 more minutes. That is a waste of my time, and I will not stick with it. If you don't want people like me leaving your warzones; quit dueling, go for the objectives, and get gear (legitimately, if you can handle playing fair for once).

I killed over 100 players last night, in multiple instances, after dying, etc. Not a single one counted. I tried everything, including suiciding and logging off. It is completely broken on my server. I don't know of a single person on either side who was getting credit. Believe it or not. Who cares what you believe anyway?

Personally, I think they just need to fire some people. I work in software, and if I let even one bug this big go through (to my company's client base of 5,000'ish users), I would not have a job anymore. They are rolling out bugs like this repeatedly, to a client base of over a MILLION people, and they do not seem to care. Pro-Tip Bio-Ware - Your developers / QA / Both suck. I am tired of seeing "We apologize for the inconvenience" posts after every single update.

I've got it! The exploit they fixed was people NOT kill trading! All of us who refuse to play cheaply and try to get kills the legit way were the ones exploiting. They have now fixed this.

25% is rubbish. There is no way it is actually 25%. Seems to me it is completely random chance, where some people get 1bm token for every two bags, and others get 1 bm token for every 20. That is broken and unacceptable. Everyone should have the same chances of getting the tokens.

I play for pvp too, but sitting in Ilum and trying to ninja nodes so the farmers get less valor per kill trade is not pvp. The only people who attack me without a raid are stealthers, whom simply vanish and run away when I have them nearly dead. That good sir, is NOT pvp.

My suggestion. Delete the entire planet.

You know what they say about making assmuptions.... I have 2 pieces of cent gear still, am almost rank 62, and never farmed any valor, at all, period. I go out of my way to disrupt the kill trading valor farmers on my server. I have been trying to get my second BM token, to buy a single piece of BM gear and replace a cent piece for almost 2 weeks now (28 BM bags opened, 1 BM token between them all). After 30 some odd bags, I do feel I am entitled to a single *********** piece of gear, Especially when I see people the same rank as me with 5 pieces of BM gear on (and greens in the other slots. Thanks BW for the kill trading fix...oh wait...).....

^ This. Shut down Ilum and forget it ever existed. Give us a second daily for warzones, and fix the bug that prevents them from counting. The End.

Get used to that Champ gear. Before this patch you would be lucky as hell to get more than 1 bm token per 10-15 bags opened (2 per day, means > 1 week for a single token). Now it appears they may have reduced that chance even more, and replaced it with a larger number of worthless champion tokens. This game's developer's amaze me with their stupidity.

I reckon they don't test anything they implement. There is no excuse for the number of bugs their patches introduce.

You do now. I was rank 48 when I hit 50. My abilities mean jack **** when my server has 10 Sith for every republic player. I am not happy with the patch or PVP in general at all.

First rule in fixing bugs (and yes, I work on software) is to not only fix the initial bug, but ensure your "Fix" doesn't introduce any more. IE...how can this affect the rest of the system. You put out a patch to fix silly inconsequential things (Most of which were NOT fixed....still can't abandon those *********** missions!) and introduce GLARING bugs. There are now 3 times the bugs we had before, but these are major bugs. The ones before were just an inconvenience. That's just shotty development. I have seen people lose their jobs for much less, and I don't work for a billion dollar company. It was seriously awesome to log into Ilum (I logged off there), get one shot, and subsequently locked into the spawn point for an hour while the imperials, who outnumber us 8 to 1 on my server, gained massive amounts of valor. Biggest failure I have ever seen. I am having my dev team leader forward his resume to you. Looks like you need someone with some sense.

I will play with some specs tonight and keep this post updated on what I find.

I was thinking of giving this a try first... http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#801RRrrdorogZMsr0o.1 If after trying that, I still don't feel I have enough DPS, I may drop the points in counterattack and try to boost damages for Shockstrike and Gut. I find in most situations, the skills I use the most are Shockstrike, Hammer shot (for building ammo), and Explosive surge (when aoe'ing a group of enemies up close). I also am guessing that my ION cell triggers are causing around 10-15% of my total damage, as I have it proccing a lot and have it boosted. I can generally parse 140k total in a WZ, with 20-40k defense. I would rather parse up to 200k and be able to contribute some serious damage numbers (plus I solo a lot, and absorbing damage does me no good in that situation, as most of the time I solo pvp, I am stunlocked to death anyways with the 129239239 stuns every other class gets on a 2 second timer). I am still looking for possibilities.

So I have been a tank spec (shield) vanguard since beta, and I always loved it. I absolutely love how survivable I can be. My problem is, after hitting 50 and getting several pieces of Champion PVP gear, i still find that my DPS just isn't good enough. I cannot DPS down a healer to save my life. The DPS just isn't there; and given that there are seldom any healers, being a tank ATM doesn't make sense (Taking damage for someone else, just to die 5 seconds before they do, is NOT a winning strategy IMO, especially in PVP). What I am looking for is a good "Middle-of-the-Road" spec, that has decent damage mitigation, but can do enough damage to kill people when needed. Does anyone have any suggestions. My only stipulation is that I would like to still use ION cell so my Champion shield gen is not wasted.

Shield spec allows you to spec points into turning the ION cell trigger-able skill into a damned good snare. It's pretty much always on the target if you spam hammer shot between all normal skills.

What about Blast Wave (I think is the name)? I love that skill, but I am shield spec so that probably helps with why I love it so much. Nothing like running circles in front of two or three melee and whittling them down with it as they try to break through my HP and shields.

This. For some reason Shadows dropped mine from 60 fps to 15. I didn't have those problems in the beta so no idea what changed, but I just turned them off. I also forced anti aliasing to 16x through my video card control panel, and turned my texture quality UP and saw a significant boost (from 30 after shadows disabled, back up the the 60 I expect).

So because you didn't see the problem, it must not exist. Were you ever the victim of a suicide bomber? No? Well those must be fiction as well; oh and AIDS, and the holocaust. Yep, all not real, according to you. This problem has existed for almost 7 days now on most EA servers. I waited Saturday and Sunday both for over 2 hours in the queue before just cancelling and going to bed. 2 hours is my total play time, being an adult with responsibilities.
