  1. You can get BiS Armor mods from the last bosses in EV and KP and put them in belts and bracers at the moment.... They are occasionally on the GTN, at least on my server. In 1.2, I believe ALL Orange and End-game armor will have removable armor slots (and set bonus slots)... ... and frankly, I would wait until 1.2 before you do anything with your armor, at this point.
  2. Sounds like your gear... I was soloing Champions 2 levels above me when I was leveling my Concealment op. Get Orange gear and keep the mods current (always take mod rewards from quests) and use your planet commendations to buy more mods, and fill out the remaining mod slots from the GTN... pass down all your armor to Dr. Lokin. By level 49-50, you should have full Orange armor on yourself and a Companion (Doc Lokin if you are DPS) and all those slots should have level 22/116-120 mods in them.
  3. Huge companies (EA, LA) mandating "Deadlines" epitomizes what's wrong with the software industry. This has been a problem ever since software (and the Internet) became an uber market back in the mid to late 90's. The bean counters don't understand the underlying complexities of general technology, let alone CODE - and they never will. This "release it now and patch it later" bull**** needs to STOP. Just look at how that practice has leaked into console releases... remember when console games were relatively bug free and didn't require patches? If there wasn't so much pressure put on developers to meet unreasonable deadlines, then we wouldn't have as many MMO's with f'd up launches and piss-poor quality/gameplay mechanics. Strict deadlines are *********** stupid, especially for something like an MMO. Technology is organic and is often hampered by deadlines; Case in point: SWTOR. Fact of the matter is, SWTOR was released 6-12 months too early and it was because of EA/LA, "shareholders interests" and deadlines mandated by the bean counters and LUDDITE UPPER MANAGEMENT. Then we have companies like EA who force their employees to work massive overtime hours, which contrary to their (idiotic) beliefs, is NOT more productive than a 40-50 hours week and causes more problems than it solves. You can Google any number of studies done on this and see for yourself. The communication and marketing was also very POOR and led to the faction imbalances and FAILED to properly set expectations of the fans about the state of the game. /getoffmylawn
  4. ^^ Sure they can, and they would have been smart to do that. But the fact the game was UNFINISHED had a lot to do with all the BS we're being put through right now.
  5. Maybe they should just stop releasing games 6 to 12 months TOO early (especially MMO's)! WHAT A THOUGHT?!?! DID I BLOW YOUR MIND?! .. or hire some better F'in project managers. Also, should have never joined up with EA. /Captain Hindsight
  6. As long as we keep the same damage ability by doing the rotation "Bioware's new way", I am fine with the changes. If they nerf our overall DPS or burst though, it just proves how out of touch Bioware is with their own game. This is Bioware's fault for making the TM animation so annoying to so many people. Also Bioware, there had better not be any more more /substantial changes that require free skill resets for all classes/. That's a ONE TIME THING for an MMO.. you better have gotten it RIGHT THIS TIME AROUND and not have to revisit every class again 6 months down the road. Having to do such a substantial rebalance to all classes 3 months into launch just shows how fail your designers are... SWG anyone? I'm having deja-vu!
  7. What's QA?! But that costs money! Why hire more QA when our executives need higher salaries and more bonuses! Seriously... QA actually meant something back in the 90's... now it's a "cost center" and bean counters don't have an underlying grasp of why it actually INCREASES this thing called "return on investment" because more people will be happy with a higher quality product and... what the hell... I'm just wasting my time here. Bioware... one of your biggest weaknesses is QA!!!! Take a hint!
  8. I had about 10 million at my highest, but I went on a Armor Mod (58) buying spree on the GTN, then sent 3 million to my alt for power-leveling... so now I am down to about 4 million total. I got rich from doing dailies =P
  9. Outsourcing = lower cost, but also lower quality. This holds true for dang near every experience with outsourcing I've been involved with. No wonder the armor art sucks and the new armor art isn't much better... explains a lot.
  10. Nope.avi TM is fine. If anything, it's Pyro Powertech is that needs to be nerfed.
  11. ... and my Windows PC plays more games than your Mac will ever play, Natively... and the Windows OS is optimized for gaming far more than OSX is. GG Fixed that for you. Also, I buy my machines based on their capabilities, price, and available software - which Windows has much more of. This is why developers support Windows over OSX; they make more money. Plus, the Mac "fan base" is not appealing to me. I've worked in IT for 15 years and I find that 95% of them are clueless technology posers.
  12. Do not add support for Mac, it's a waste of money that could be better spent elsewhere... Maybe in a couple years after all the IMPORTANT technical glitches have been worked out... Macs are not for gaming. If you didn't realize that when you bought it, you do now.
  13. Oh you mean back when Plate Armor wearing Mages were 1 shotting people with "Pre-Patch" Heavy X-Bows of Vanquishing?... lol Had almost forgotten about that... I wish SWTOR made me feel the same way UO did back then: Giddy and like a child exploring a whole new world.
  14. Who the F*@$ are you? A TOR Developer? It's not meant to be a 'main attack'? What?? It's the CORE of the ENTIRE ARSENAL TREE...
  15. Ultima Online is where I first encountered "nerf"...
  16. I was able to do HM BT with my Arsenal Merc + Mako and my Marauder friend + his healing companion. It was actually very easy, except for the optional boss... we ended up DPSing him down to 3/4th, then I had to kite him around and LOS while the Marauder finished him off.. took us a few tries but we completed the entire FP.
  17. You CAN do it with 4 people... but I would not suggest a PUG of 4 people. Some of the grapples are bugged and tricky. .. and yes, /stuck is also bugged, but you can work around it... having 6-7 people really does help a lot: Take a Sorcerer who can Life Grip people up to the last door... basically the Sorcerer hits the 2nd set of buttons (at the same time with the 3rd person in the group; 1 and 2 have already hit their buttons), then they jump down (from the console area where they hit the button), then grapple up to the North center spot, then grapple across to hit the last button, grapple back, grapple to the door, then life grip everyone else up to the door. I just got my +10 last week, FINALLY!!! (classes with intercede can also jump up to the last door where the Sorcerer is standing, pulling people up)
  18. The ANNOYING, dysfunctional camera in this game is just another one of the dozens of things that make SWTOR aggravating. It should be a 'low hanging fruit' fix.. just give us the *&^@$ option to LOCK IT, PLEASE!
  19. Nope.avi This game is a 6.5 out of 10, at best... Maybe by March it'd be a 7 out of 10. Released 6 months too early. It will get better with age, at least a little bit.
  20. Sign up for authenticator app. Buy huge stacks of fleet passes. Wait for Authenticator app to break and prevent you from logging in (it will) Call to have it removed - your fleet passes still work! Bioware.. please fix your app, I am almost all out of fleet passes.
  21. Exactly... the term "trying to polish a turd" comes to mind. I've lost hope that PvP will be good any time soon. Lack of communication by the devs is a big reason.
  22. Brilliant. OR.. Bioware could just fix their broken camera. I'd be happy with either solution. I just want the dang camera to STAY WHERE I PUT IT, no matter what terrain I move along or how I 'mouse view' around.
  23. I'm always right... no wait, I WAS wrong this one time back in 1984. How about zero/poor incentive for World PvP? No rankings or stats, and re-occurring WZ bugs and exploits. Ilum.. seriously? You think that's a well designed, thought out planet? Your expectations are WAY too low buddy. Ilum is an EPIC failure. Changing the bag system, and implementing level 50 WZ's WAS a good step, but it's too little, too late, I'm feeling...
  24. All you have to do is play the PvP portion of the game for a little bit to realize pretty much everything is poorly designed and broken. I don't understand how they can continuously fail so bad at PvP... they must not play their own game, I swear to god. The guy who is in charge of Ilum should just be fired. Go ahead and lock/delete my post, but I consider this truthful feedback from a paying customer (ME!) I had high hopes for this game but I am so very disappointed. My sub expires in a few weeks.
  25. About a month ago, I could run through HM EV with a good group in just UNDER and hour. Last night, we spend 45 minutes clearing HM 4/5, then 2+ hours wiping on Soa 10 times.
