  1. Why not scrap the idea of cross-server LFG altogether, and get the server population up to where we can ever form groups on a single server in the first place. Easy solution to a ton of problems.
  2. I only find myself using the spacebar to just skip over everything when I'm redoing quests on alts. I also use the spacebar a lot when watching for the first time, because its' easier to read the subtitles and space halfway through the voice part. Although for the more important/epic/etc. scenes I don't ever spacebar. It isn't really that big a deal, and I've got quite a few alts... but I acn see how people would disagree.
  3. That is quite possibly one of the worst analogies I have ever seen.
  4. Yeah I guess I'mma just have to not play until 1.2 if that's the case. Thanks.
  5. So as far as I know we can take the mods out of end-game level gear and put them into orange gear. Thing is, there are only 2 mods. Is it possible to use the orange gear still then? Maybe by going to Ilum and getting that purple slot for the "armoring"? Is anything about this changing in 1.2? I want to know the information about this tuff before I spend money taking sockets out and spending my commendations on things. Thanks in advance.
  6. "If you don't agree with me, you're just bad" Really? No, all arenas did was make it imperative that everyone play the FTM class and had blizzard constantly breaking three things every time they fixed one balance issue. All gear was based off of arenas and battlegrounds stopped mattering and the PVP community halved itself in just a couple years. This is an MMO based on Star Wars, and none of that lends itself to 3v3 instanced PVP in an arena. If anything, we should be wanting bigger battles and a more epic scale, not ridiculous duels inside of a cardboard box. Back in WoW, myself and plenty others loved to reminisce about the days of several-day-long 40 v 40 Alterac Valley battles with all sorts of crazy stuff going on, with massive giants and cavalry attacks and the works. Know what you never hear? "Man, I hated PVP but adding arena was such a good idea!" Which one sounds more appealing? An epic battle between dozens of Jedi and Sith, or 5v5 eSports where you need gear to win and need to win to get gear?
  7. Going to go with a reluctant "no". I like playing the game and I'm clearly still subscribed, but there are a lot of things impeding my progress right now. I don't like hardly any of the gear for PVP or PVE at endgame and that makes me not want to progress, because the awesome look I've got for my character is going to go away in place of looking like crap. The character creation is fine, but it could be so much more. A lot of the options are just straight ugly and feel like they were thrown in to fluff things up... especially a lot of facial hair that looks painted on, and cosmetic options that are very "lol, what?" Also, the gear thing is a real problem as far as stats go and progression. Because everyone else is in full pvp epics rocking 15-18k HP and my 50 is ungeared due to not having played for a few weeks, every match I get destroyed and have like 12.5k HP on top of hardly any expertise. It's just not fun to get destroyed match after match and being a drain on the team trying to get geared up. PVE is different because you progress from hardmodes and through the operations, and even fresh 50's can go into hardmodes and start gearing up with people like them. It's very frustrating. The low server pops make this worse, because it takes forever to get queue pops at certain times of the day on the different factions. The performance problems are the biggest issue, though. The game just doesn't look very good for the amount of system resources it takes up, and going from 60+ fps questing to 10 fps in warzones sucks. And if I accidentally open up my inventory, the game freezes for a second or two completely. I know that a lot of that is being looked into, but the state of the game right now is definitely making me look towards other options until things at least improve a bit like in 1.2 and beyond.
  8. One of my favorite things is being stun locked to death with my resolve bar full, then respawning and watching it be in effect while I wait for the door to open. You know, in case one of the other team somehow got into our spawn room and wanted to stun me.
  9. what are some good servers to reroll on that have good/expanding populations? i prefer pvp servers but the inclusion of other types would be helpful to other readers
  10. Does this exist yet? Can't find anything on it. Thanks in advance!
  11. All of them are fun. What you will personally find fun depends on how you want to play. You want a class with good defense but don't like the jedi knight, so you could go with the trooper for heavy armor or the smuggler for medium armor. As far as storylines go, the operative from what I hear has the best storyline in the game. I really liked the jedi knight storyline myself. It gets really good once you get into the med-high level range.
  12. Are there any times in the consular quests where I'll be relegated to using a certain companion, outside of the time where I'm acquiring them (like the guy on Nar Shaddaa)? I ask this because my first 50 is a Jedi Knight, and there are several times where I'd be forced to use a completely non-geared companion that I never really used to progress in the storyline. I don't want to get stuck doing this on the alt that I've decided to take to 50 next; thanks in advance for the help. Oh and please try to keep spoilers to a minimum.
  13. From an outsiders perspective (my alt is only level 15), it seems like you guys can be really good at 1v1 pvp (similar to marauder/sentinel) but lack a lot of skills that are useful for objectives, like shoving people around, jumping from platform to platform, etc. That said, since I've been playing my sage lately, operatives are a nightmare if they get the jump on me from stealth.
