  1. The only key and answer to not get fooled by that kind of people is common sense. It's super easy to do and you can practice over time to get better. It will take you around 10 seconds in average to look prices, analyze them and realize that something is wrong. It's not that hard tho. For the buyer, it is your mistake to buy it in the first place, and I believe it's a hard thing to swallow in your situation. Accept your errors folks. It will make you a better person. For the seller... you are in an MMO/Internet/Non physical form, you are anonymous, and we the buyers know that there are people that love to screw others, we also know that there are many trolls around this game. Especially around Dround Kaas all day. Almost all the freaking day. I get how those people not get tired of themselves. To the buyer. You need to realize that there will be a ton of people that will try to fool you, at all times. Inside and outside of the game. If you get bland, they will eat you alive if you stop to use your brains. Same with most sellers at the Fleet at prime hour. As an example: First: [i see this a lot. Believe it or now. I had know some folks that pay that quantities .______.] WTS Revan Armor Set 30mil [This without having any of those in the gtn. Which usually sell for 9mil] Second: Click my ref link and I will give you 2mil [You believe it and that person ended ignoring you after you click his or her ref link.] Third: You see several postings at the GTN in bulks of something you need. You go full-brains turned off and buy everything without check prices two times. Boom! you just lost 6mil from nowhere. Well, you know it's your fault deep inside. Fourth: [i experimented something like this, but I ended saying. Deez nuts pal. I didn't born yesterday.] You are buying something at the fleet for example. WTB Satele Shan set. Then a person whispers you and tells you... Seller: Hey, I have that set. You excited say: Oh maii. I want to buy it, how much? Seller: It will be 10mil or fair/dumb/unbelievable offer: You: That's excellent. Lets do it. Seller: There is a problem tho. The set is still bound until tomorrow. You: Well, I can wait. In the worst scenario, you are too desperate [Watch out with this!] and the scammer gets you easily. Seller: I will not be able to do so. I need to travel all week [it may change in here. They are good to lie]. Maybe I will have time tomorrow, but I am not sure. Lets do this... tomorrow at what hours are you on? You: Tells an hour/hours. Seller: Figures out an hour in which he or she knows that you will not be awake or online. Tells you the hour. [if he or she fails, they will keep pushing you to an hour in which they succeed.] You: Damn, I will not be online at that hour. What we can do? [Common sense starts to fail in this part] The scammer totally owns you now. Seller: I have a super easy solution. Just send me your credits in a mail today or tomorrow when you are online. Then, I will send you the armor set asap as it is unbound and I will connect on X hour to do so. I have around 3 minutes before travel, or whatever he or she invents you. You: Perfect! Thank you so much. I will send the credits asap. I will be waiting. I am super excited! [Common Sense off - Brains off. Innocence under 9000]. *Sends credits. Seller: All right! Thank you so much, I will send you the set tomorrow. Then, you connect at the day after tomorrow, because you were supposed to not be at that hour and... no new mail. You try to send mails and he ignored you. You just lost 15mil, but you know deep inside of you that it was your fault. Hard to swallow tho. They may sound like nice and polite people. Educated, and bland sometimes. You need to be careful because that's with the kind of people you are dealing with. It don't happens all the time tho, there is nice people out there, but NEVER SEND CREDITS FIRST. No matter what. Same with people begging, asking for donations or things like that. Be careful pals. Then, always try to record your trades or GTN buying. If you mess up and someone got you. You can share that recordings to support and to the players. To warn them about X person. I know they delete their toons most of the times, but you can point him or her out before do so and the support can track that person easily. I can tell more examples, but I know you folks get the point. I am not telling you that you are dumb or stupid, but just be more careful the next time. No matter who you are, there is someone that knows how to catch you if you let it. Common sense is a super good thing to practice tho. It may sound simple, but you can be fooled super easy if you don't use your brain often. To the buyer. Do not expect those people to change. Those are everywhere in all sizes and forms. They barely learn and just a few of them change. Be more careful the next time and practice your common sense more often. Even outside of the game. There is a saying that is quite famous and says. "Forewarned is forearmed." If you read all this. I thank you so much for doing so. Now, you barely will get scammed or fooled with this information. If still get fooled after read all this. With all the respect of the world... let me spank you so hard! . Just kidding, be careful fellas!
  2. To be honest. I would love to mount a cow in this game.
  3. Glad to make your day fella. Let's see if today's stream make my day like that last one.
  4. You kinda make me want to uninstall SWTOR and return to League of Legends hmm. It's quite tempting, lets see what the today's stream says.
  5. Save some credits and buy them from the GTN. Buying those with real money is a waste. I have almost every mount in-game and I can tell you that from first hand.
  6. I still laugh to tears every time I see the mail and I see the video + the promo page. That already happened tho.
  7. Just in case anyone forgot about the last "hype, promo, big" announcement: "Promo" http://www.swtor.com/choose-your-path "Choose your Path" Just Beat It... -Michael Jackson.
  8. Just in case anyone forgot about the last "hype, promo, big" announcement: "Promo" http://www.swtor.com/choose-your-path "Choose your Path" Just Beat It... -Michael Jackson.
  9. Deep inside, you know people will re-sub just for that. Some will even return to play the game [The ones that left SWTOR after the expansion]. There is no best time right now to exploit and put pressure to any star wars game/feature that will bring people to spend their moneys to SWTOR and Battlefront. Plus considering the the movie release is 17 days away. I really believe they will push with something like 12xp to get more moneys from Star Wars fans. If it's not 12xp, it will and needs to be something that will make a ton of people re-sub and extend their sub for months. Also, something that will bring new folks into the game. In the other hand. In the worst scenario, it's just a let-down like that "Choose your Path" mail, but I really doubt that they are going to miss an opportunity like this to increase their audience and capital. Force Awakens is just at the next corner. After the hype and the movie this month + holidays. I believe there will be more Star Wars audience than before. That means more moneys for games like SWTOR.
  10. Everything makes sense now. I really wonder if that is considered "Culture" now-days. maybe I had been so blind all this years.
  11. This thread reminds me of my bud before he left drugs.
  12. Hmm, actually I may know what this is all about. The only thing that had created "hype" over the SWTOR community as I had seen, other than the new expansions are the +12xp boost. Probably I am wrong, but I believe they will bring it back. Anyways, that will not make me re-sub tho. I am 99% sure it will be that . I remember something similar when they brought the 12xp boost again. Note: For subs only.
  13. The weird thing here is that I have double citizenship. I belong to two parts of the world. It's quite odd for people like me, but I'll take b) anyways. I like it straight. Cheers.
  14. I want to be that high too, share some please
  15. Taris, Coruscant, Illum, Makeb and Corellia are the worst and most painful and depressing planets in this game in my opinion. Those are boring and dull too. Some have nice art on them, but still feel so boring for some reason. Korriban also had a ton of potential in this game, but it was wasted into what it is. Jedi Academy and KotOR 1/2 nailed the essence of Korriban pretty well. Dark, mysterious and enjoyable while exploring. Here in SWTOR feels like another dull, boring and lazy planet. Even the "tombs" are boring to explore.
  16. They are busy people. Just imagine to step into their shoes for a week. They just can't reply every post that anyone makes in the community because that creates more madness. There will be people that agree and people that will disagree. Then, more fuss will create more confusion and the problem will get bigger instead of better with this kind of community. I had been in many communities, and so far, this one has been the most immature, toxic and disrespectful one I had been into. Kudos to the people that are not like that tho. There are many around. Anyways, the experience is not different while in-game. It is more toxic there sometimes. No offense to anyone in this thread tho, but this forums have too many young people I believe. Just imagine what answer many questions will cause in a community like this.
  17. I just remember the last time "hype" build over the community. It was the "Choose your Path" promo. After that... I really don't expect nothing good this time, but lets give it a shot haha. There is nothing we can lose. I hope that makes me extend my sub tho. I don't think so, but again. Lets give it a try.
  18. Galactic Star-fighter is dead as far as I know. What the ships would have use to?
  19. The day that the players start to not spend money and not re-sub this game will die. That's hard to happen. People come and go every day. We are like grains in a huge beach. If anyone quits today, it doesn't matter to them. No matter who you are. A new person will repeat that spot that the person that left just did. Then, after a year or two. Probably three, it will start to complain and make this kind of questions on the forums. Finally, that person will quit and a new person will repeat the cycle. Then, the cycle will go over and over until the MMO officially dies. Some people quit faster than others. Some quit in weeks or months, while other take years to realize that they lost their time and support [money] in something that they didn't loved to play. As far as I know, it's how I had seen MMOs to work. It's nice to meet new and fresh people tho. This cycle happens in tons of things out there, not just MMOs. Some people think they are super special, but the reality is another unfortunately. Sorry folks, but it's the true. My tip to the new fellas that are new is to enjoy any product or in this case this game as much as you can. Then, when you start to get unsatisfied, that means that is probably time to move on to new and exciting things that will fulfill your entertainment needs. Sometimes it doesn't need to be a new video-game. Probably you need a radical change with your life to get away that stress that is unhealthy at the long road for you. Many will disagree with this, and I know why, but it's alright, it's how it is naturally. So, just game hard and enjoy the ride as far as you can!
  20. I could had not said that better. Good one
  21. Always check prices two or three times before buying something. I know people that made the same mistakes, but with real money. Just be careful the next time
