  1. I'm only going to be happy if I can have Khem Val carry around my inquisitor on a chair like it's his Bar Mitzvah.
  2. I think you would have to have someone craft it for you. You would need a high enough valor level to equip it, though.
  3. There should be a character customization option (think along the lines of companion skin customization) that lets you switch to the weapons and animations of your mirror class. A Sniper Weapon Unlock could be put on a Gunslinger, for example, and the the Gunslinger would be able to use a sniper rifle and vibroknife. Same with Mercs / Commandos, Ops / Scoundrels, etc. Force user classes use the same weapons as their mirrors, but some of the animations are different, so that could work. Or, although this would be more work, lightsaber classes could buy alternate fighting styles. A Maurader could hold his lightsabers backwards, or a Guardian could have more of a refined, Count Dooku type of fighting style, for example.
  4. For gunslingers / Snipers Sharpshooter: a 4 second channeled rapid fire ability, usable while moving. Each second has a 20% chance to interrupt target's current action. Saboteur: Scrambling field grenade. A second scrambling field that can be placed like an incendiary grenade. Dirty fighting: an activated health leech ability, increasing in strength depending on how many DoTs are on the target.
  5. For me, it's a running gag at this point. Me: "Can I expect any reinforcements?" Every Questgiver: "No, the entire space army is too tied up to help you save the planet."
  6. Going forward with the story, it seems like it would be necessary to build on the endings of all the class stories, since they all change the course of the war in major ways. Is there going to be a "story so far" scene to catch players up on the state of the Galaxy, or will everything be kept vague in order to minimalize spoilers for other class story arcs?
  7. A young Hutt might work. I think I heard that they start off skinny, and only grow to the size of a sedan when they're rich and powerful enough. That might be pretty interesting actually
  8. I swear by my pretty floral bonnet I will roll a Smuggler.
  9. Let me see if I understand you. You want an overpowered PVP armor set that looks like a cybernetic, rubber toga with shoulderpads and has a Transformer for a lightsaber that you get from a server-wide Ponzi scheme / battle royale with a strict time limit and unexplained rules, and you lose it all if someone kills you? How about we just wait for them to finish chatbubbles, and then we'll go from there
  10. They said that they're moving from huge updates occasionally to smaller updates monthly, right? So far, we know that there are four major releases this year: Terror from Beyond, Ancient Hypergates, HK-51, and Makeb. Also, there are four months left in the year. Let's do a little math here. September: Terror from Beyond October: Ancient Hypergates November: HK-51, probably also Free to Play December: Makeb Don't worry, I'll only use my Uncanny Powers of Prediction for good.
  11. The Jedi Council performs a ritual that severs the Exile's connection to the Force. It takes about 5 episodes.
  12. I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but -- Color match to chest when previewing items. It would be really nice to see if a piece of gear would look good when color matched together. At the moment, you just have to hope that the pants you are about to buy on GTN are going to look good once you put them on.
  13. Right now, I have her wearing the jacket and helmet here http://tor-fashion.com/2012/05/21/commandos-maelstrom/, although, you can find those of different colors on the GTN, and a headband might also work. Heavy Armor Jedi legs work best for her, I think, because they don't give her the thunder thighs look she has with a lot of trooper armor. Just try to look through the planetary comms vendors and match colors as best you can.
  14. I'm not really a Jedi, I just dress like one.
  15. Are you asking whether or not an antihero can funtction as a main character? If you are, then that's a pretty silly question. Not every story has to have an idealist main character. Look at Batman. Look at Cpt. Yossarian from Catch-22. In regards to the smuggler and Corso Riggs, Corso is not the leader of the group, but his idealism serves as a foil to the smuggler's own character. He's the Sancho Panza of the story, contrasting the smuggler's own attitudes in order to highlight them further. That aside, a character's idealism is by no means what makes him effective. What really works is development as a character. Does the smuggler change over the story? Sure, he starts off as a no name freighter captain and ends up as either And if by "reading a lot of things" you mean summaries of Joseph Campbell's hero's journey, then you should probably be viewing that as more of a suggestion than a hard and fast rule. Stick too close to that and half the time you'll end up with Star Wars, but the other half you'll end up Eragon, The Sword of Truth, and their ilk. In summary, what the heck are you doing looking for literary analysis on an MMO forum in the first place?
  16. Some end game, epic areas that are single player, but allow you to play with ALL of your companions
  17. So I've been a level 50 Gunslinger for a few months now, and I'm currently working on my warhero gear, so I feel a little silly not knowing this. One of my favorite perks to being a smuggler is that while I'm in cover, I can't be grappled or leaped to by enemy players. However, can a friendly Jedi leap to me or a consular rescue pull me while I'm in cover?
  18. [Palpatine]: And now, young Skywalker, you will die. Palpatine uses Force Lightning on Luke. [Luke]: Father! Please! Vader activates Heroic Moment. Vader uses Legacy Dirty Kick on Palpatine.
  19. Yeah! Those pvp relics that just lost their on-click stat bonus should definitely get nerfed and hey, Bioware. This is in a wavelength of color the OP can't see. Please dont actually do this. Thanks! Love, Veggienomad. I see no reason pvp items should have ANY viability in pve situations.
  20. I'm not sure how feasible this is, but it would be very cool, and add a lot to not only character personalization but visual bragging, if there were different sets of animations for the combat abilities. Say you completed your class story, or you reached a certain valor or legacy level, you would unlock a new stance for your character. It wouldn't give you any stat bonus, it would just look cool. Take for example, a Jedi Guardian. At rest position, lightsaber out, he holds it upright like a baseball bat. If we look at the movies, though, all of the characters hold their lightsabers differently. Count Dooku looks like he's more of a fencer, so that could be an inspiration for an animation set. You could also have more Kendo-based animations, or even animations that look unskilled and reckless. This could work for all classes. A Sith Maurader could hold his dual lightsabers backwards like Starkiller. A Powertech could hold his pistol in the Weaver Stance (think of a cop holding a gun with two hands) instead of one handed. A Vanguard Trooper could hold his rifle from the hip and shoot it like Scarface. A Gunslinger could, I don't know, bend the bullets? Anyway, I think that would be cool, and add a little flavor to your character.
  21. Ah, this is a thread about whether or not Revan was handled right. I thought it was a thread about whether or not he was right handed. This is less dumb a question.
  22. Do the writers have lulls between batches of content, or does there seem to be a constant and consistent stream of stories being written while the rest of the team is putting your work into the game?
  23. This one was all my fault. I was in the pit in Huttball, when I kill the ball carrier and take it myself. I try running, but i get stunned and about four imps jump on me. I use my stun break and, panicking, I throw the ball away from them so they can't get it. Right as it leaves my hands, a consular pulls me up to the ledge right next to the score line. Not... one of my proudest moments.
  24. I may be a little biased, but you should go with the gunslinger. I haven't tried scoundrel, but judging from the forums, they've been nerfed quite a bit, while the gunslinger seems to get a buff every other patch. That said, full sharpshooter is a good build if you want to do only PVE, but I've been having fun with a 23/18/0 build. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#700bsrbdMRRZbIMbRob.1 You go up the sharpshooter tree enough to get trickshot and an energy reduction for it, but you also go up saboteur for your contingency charges on sabotage charges, which are always fun. Another fun bit is you not only get increased energy regeneration from Foxhole, but you also get energy back from each contingency charge that explodes, so you're almost never out of ammo. You lose out on your extra Crit damage by not going up to Deadeye on the Sharpshooter tree, though, but I personally like the playstyle. That said, they're tweaking sharpshooter for 1.3, so you'll definitely have time to play around with skills to see what you like.
