  1. To those playing on Jung Ma, you have my respect. I don't know if the server is dying. It does seem to have very little life. Good luck to those staying.
  2. Low frame rate and lag hit me hard today. Everything was fine, I went afk, relogged about an hour later and perfrmance went to the crapper. the game has been stable for me for a very long time.
  3. How about putting a shrine in your home? I am saddened that Carrie Fisher died. I don't want real life commemoratives in the game I play.
  4. I guess like most things it is all from a certain point of view. Like I said earlier, I see nothing all that significant about general chat; because it is general chat. If one wants a conversation I would choose another option. I have found voip is a much better option than general chat. And to add another monitoring system is not what is needed. First and foremost, this is an mmo not a chat center. Certainly chat is relevant to game play but to take so much energy to select trade aspects seems awkward to me. And finally I find WTS comments more relevant to my game play than others opinions.
  5. Maybe the forcing should be towards using the ignore option. Just saying.
  6. I am always amazed at people that go to kfc and are upset they cant get doughnuts.
  7. People should really learn... in a perfect world. Someone will always find a rationalization to ignore what they should really do. The only way to avoid intrusive dialogue is to make private channels for one to invite others to visit and that is a viable option I believe in TOR.
  8. With the general state of general chat (redundant?) I am not moved by the argument that a WTS is all that degrading to chat. Furthermore I find the ponderings of many in chat to be no less bothersome than an item for sale. If someone is being disruptive to your conversation, ignore is certainly an option; or you could take your important conversation to group chat where it would get the privacy it requires. Your witty 5 person conversation isn't all that important to the ~ 100 people viewers of chat. Especially when the conversation always devolves into jawa this or chuck norris that.
  9. I realize expletives are frowned upon. So when you see the words "I'm concerned" imagine the foulest of terms imaginable. Bioware and EA, I'm concerned. For more days than I can remember I have had multiple crashes to desktop. Today again 4 crashes and yet to get into game. No it isn't my computer. I have been very supportive financially with this game. I really want it to be a very successful game. But I'm concerned. I'm concerned... fix it... stop the cartel coins, stop the events, make the game stable. Again I'm concerned.
  10. I don't know if there is a limit to how many purchases one can make... that would seem silly, but who knows. I do know I had the same problem. I changed my payment type to paypal and have not had a problem since.
  11. Controlled events seem like a good idea to me. As to opposite factions "fighting" their way to the opposite side... I have a better idea. Pay 5 times the normal monthly fee for access and if your character dies its a complete reroll... all items gone... legacy gone... oh and a 3 day cool down before logging in again. Now that should add all the excitement one needs... shouldn't it? There are innumerable ways to create world events without causing griefing. Simply put people that do not like the term "griefing" are the ones doing the griefing.
  12. If Bioware ticked you off... leave. Or consider what you do have... 15 dollars less than some subscribers. *reality check* No one in Bioware management, or production misses any sleep because someone thinks they aren't as loyal as others. If anyone is playing this game out of some desire to be liked by gaming management... I suggest medication. Which is substantially more than 15 bucks.
  13. I am not sure why you suspect me a fan boy... I hardly consider you irrational. Mistakes happen. This isn't wow, eve, gw, etc... It is a game with what may be considered a very bad "hero engine" (whatever that means). Different game, different management, different employees. By your standards no building should ever fail... but they do. No halos around. In production (no matter what kind) there is an 11% chance of error for every step in a process. Have more than 9 steps... uh oh. Again this isn't wow, if bioware was redoing wow your point would be valid.
  14. So by your definition there should no longer be any imperfections. Because we have seen every iteration of mistake?
  15. Probably could have been phrased better. Probabaly could have been better thought out. But the post you were refuting... well you didn't refute it. Bioware and EA do not owe us free game time. No matter how much you paid for the game and subscriptions. What Bioware and EA's motivations were are irrelevant. I am sorry you feel disrespected. over a game... and 15 bucks... and not being 50...
