  1. I used khem until I got ashara then ashara until I got xalek. Had no problems that I can remember and was able to take 3+ mobs easily with light healing and force storm

While that is true, you still dont tank as well with Xalek simply because he does not benefitt from Absorb rating and Shield rating stats as he should.

Sure, you can still use him as a tank and tank stuff, but Khem is a better tank.

  2. I run Xalek in Columi/champ/tion tanking gear. He can put alot of real tanks to shame with his raw survival power.

Khem is a better tank simply because Xalek is bugged, he does not gain any benefitt at all from Absorb rating and Shield rating.

And Khem will always have about 5% more mitigaton from armor if both has same gear.

I have geared both Xalek and Khem in columi/daily commendation/tionese gear, and as soon as i switched to Khem for tanking, i noticed how much LESS damage he recieves.

I will not go back to Xalek untill they fix hes stat gains, and i recommend other sorcrers to not use Xalek unless you like him for the Force leap ability and cant be w/out it.

  3. Killing normal mobs-silver elite mobs= Revel

    Killing elite/boss mobs= Khem

If you are just out to kill normal mobs and silver elites, then a DPS companion is the fastest way of doign it. If you, however, want to kill gold elites and/or boss mobs then your best tank is Khem val, Xalek's stats are bugged atm so he only benefits from +defense rating, which makes khem 10x better at tanking:

Not to mention, he wears heavy armor so he has about 5% more mitigation from armor alone AT ALL TIMES (Xalek's 42% armor buff doesnt cut it, does not minimize the diffrence in armor at all, it will always be about a 5% diffrence in their armor mitigation, which makes Khem better)

  4. I have yet to find a bug that could ruin my game experience.

Also, what are you suggesting? That they should stop working on new content until everything's fixed just so you an be happy? Has it crossed your mind that if they do that there will be people complaining too?

From what i've seen so far they're fixing "gamebreaking" bugs pretty fast. What more do you want, your personal team of bugfixers that will handle any issue at your whim?

You look like some nagging fanboi.

Realize that there are buggs that makes the game experience very boring, like the SOA hardmode, nightmare mode bugs, if you cant refrain from thinking that it is only 1 person experiencing the bugs, then you should not comment on it.

  5. Play smart? It's not hard. It's pretty much designed to be done with 2-3 DPS (8man)

    Actually thats just your oppinion.

My guild runs with ; 1 tank, 1 ot in dps specc with dps gear, 2 healers, 4 dps.

The offtank takes over the boss to get the debuff off of the maintank, and then he immediately gets it back, the OT in dps specc/gear has no trouble for those few seconds. And it gives us more dps.

Not to mention that you should have ranged DPS taking care of the consoles so that they can dps during the debuff on boss and then go back to playing the consoles after its gone.

just my oppinion about this encounter on hard/nightmare mode.

OT: Have experienced the bug where you get more droids than intended, did not happen all the time for us tho, so could still beat the encounters. Did not do normal for 2 resets now, so dunno about that.

  6. Sadly i have to agree with OP. Developers say one thing, and they mean another.

John Olsen said in the Rakghoul vid that they were "listening to the community" but that right there, doesnt mean ANYTHING, at ALL. So what if they "listen" to us? they still decide what they do, and so far they have decided to go against the wishes of the community imo.

And the fanbois out ther saying "hey you are not a coder, do you have any idea how much time it takes to fix something?" yes i do, i use Trion as an example, takes less than a few weeks if you spend most of your resources on it, BW just isnt interested on Bugfixing as their main goal, which it should be at this moment, stupid bugs ruining the game-experience.

  7. Actually crafting doesn't end at 50 there is a really decent market out there for many of my items, I actually find Heroic Flashpoints fun especially the new one.....the folks I play with are working toward Nightmare mode Operations....and as I said I'm having a blast with PVP and I never was much of a PVPer before.....what I'm getting is you really don't like what is being offered and you blow through content as soon as it's available...my advise is to take a break and come back when there is more content for you.

Other games actually succesfully introduced things to do outside of grouping-up content that made the players log-in outside of raids etc, SWTOR atm tho, has nothing.

  8. Its so strange, sometimes I wonder if I'm playing the same game. everytime I log on I have fun doing something, whether its warzones, flashpoints or questing. I never really stood around like I did in WoW and jumped on top of the mailbox for a while and then logged off. So I just dont get why people are so critical of this game. Are the existing bugs really enough for you to be unable to have fun? I really dont get it.

Players are bored and annoyed by the game, because...there is not much to do.

You have 15 days worth of dailys untill you no longer need to do them. And during those 15 days you can run Hardmode Flashpoints to get your Columi set.

Then all you can do, to progress your chracter, is to run Hardmode Operations/Nightmare mode operations.

So it all boils down to this: Not enough outside of Operations to do. Ofcourse if you enjoy the PvP, you could do that tho, but i dont.

  9. I can't believe that having no combat log isn't the source of more uproar.

Bioware has copied the theme park mmo formula i.e. tab targeting, global cool-down for abilities, gear based character progression, talent tree based character specialization, etc. but then fails to include a basic necessity for anyone that actually might care about what is going on during combat.

You can also say it's revealing about the complexity of the raid content (and flashpoints for that matter) when the fights are so straight forward that there's never a need to take a moment and consult the combat log to figure out what went wrong and figure out how to approach it.

And just so there are no misunderstandings-- I like the game for the most part... I enjoy playing it, I am paying to play it after all. I just suppose I'm surprised how often I see it brought up, I'd have thought more people would care and want to see it addressed in plain, direct statements as to why it isn't there and when we could expect to see it.

Combatlog will become a necessity for me to play the game in the future. Not having a combatlog atm is quite annoying, but still manageable.

  10. At lvl 50, you can have Khem tank all of the [HEROIC 4+] bosses if you know what you are doing.

The only lvl 50 Heroic4+ that is better to have a DPS compaion for, is the one on Corelia, all the others you can just tank'n spank as a healer(ecept for the HEROIC4 on belsavis that requires you to destroy 3 consoles, that one you just solo by dying once, no point waisting time by trying to kill anything on that quest).

Also, Xalek's tanking stats are bugged, and he currently only gains benefit from +defense rating. So úntill they fix him, Khem will always be the supperior tank (and probably even after that since he uses heavy armor = more mitigation) Xalek's 42% armor buff just doesnt cut it, way too big of a diffrence in armor still.

  11. Curious as to why you would remove alacrity from a healing build. Diminishing returns seem to affect Healers most of all since Power ins't as strong as it is for DPS. Could just be me who likes faster cast times though since our two main heals have cast times (DI and Innervate).

Once you hit the 300-ish area for Crit, Surge and Alacrity, the returns start to take a dip.

Dulfy has a nice graph showing it better than text could explain.http://dulfyforce.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/45.jpg

Alacrity is the least favoured stat for a sorc healer, why? because DI casting time is down to 1,5sec with resurgence. If you stack alacrity as a sorc healer, then you will run out of force, and your heals will also not be as strong.

But yea, a healthy amount of alacrity isnt all to damaging, however, i will never pick alacrity over surge/power.

  12. hate to bring it to you but D3 isnt that wonderfull as i had hoped it would be, after all those years of waiting....kinda sad, but thats my opinion. PLayed beta and what they showed there is not gonna bring me in. but it was beta so maybe things can change

Atleast in the past Blizzard's releases have been playable, and not hidering you with a massive amount of bugs. Sure, there has been bugs in their releases, but nothing to major imo. SWTOR just has to much buggy crap to be enjoable right now.

  13. This would be an enjoyable game if they fixed all of the gamebreaking bugs and made a usefriendly UI, currently i am not going to sub for next month unles i see improvements on bug-fixing and a better UI.

Cant wait for GW2 and D3 to be released.

  14. No, I don't PvP. That doesn't make my argument any less valid. The encompassing "aura" of all these PvP loot system complaints seems to lay in the direction of speed. You all want gear, quicker. It's quite clear, by design, that the Devs do not want you gearing as quick as you may be used to with other MMO's.

This is by design. No amount of QQ'ing on the forums should change that. They have plans that you are not aware of.

So...the "better" design, is that: some players gets really lucky and score PvP unasembled items on most of their bags, while most just get the useless centurion commendations?

hmm, i think i see the flaw in that.

  15. I prefer to play at max camera distance so I can see the entire area. Anything less is just fail mode, imo. And yes, my preferences are set to allow MAX camera distance.

As you would expect, the camera distance auto-adjusts when running through doorways or going into small rooms, but for some reason it does not properly revert back to max camera distance when possible. Even worse, frequently my camera distance will automatically zoom-in for no apparent reason. Very frequently.

The issue is so bad that my zoom-out hotkey needs to be part of my standard rotation in boss fights. Bad.

So are other people having this same issue? Am I missing a setting or something? I love the game, I will keep playing, but it would be really nice to see this fixed.

Another separate but related issue is that the max zoom-out distance is inconsistent; sometimes the camera just won't zoom-out as far as it will at other times, even in the open world.

Having the same problem, on some boss fights you have to zoom out again, since if you were the victim of an ability, it automaticly zooms in 100% for some reason, very annoying and not something that should happen.

Also happens on some random locations in the world (and in Ops/flashpoints) that you can be randomly walking, and at some specific point, the camera just flips out and zooms in.

  16. SWTRO endgame is fine. The problem is professional raiders without jobs.

    Fanboi detected.

Denying that there is a major problem with bugs doesnt mean its a "great game"

Not much else to do at lvl 50 when you have all you need from hardmode flashpoints and dailys other than do Operations (if you want to progress your character) and that is when you will notice all of the crappy bugs (also exists loads of them in Flashpoints)

  17. They still have not fixed the many bugs in Eternity VAult, it is becoming quite outrageous now.

list of bugs still present in Hard mode/ Nightmare mode:

    1. Loot still bugs out from time to time in both EV and Karaggas palace.

2.(EV) 4th boss encounter sometimes bugs out and resets in the middle of it.

    3. SOA resets from time to time during the encounter.

    4. SOA mindtraps players during phase transitions.

    5. Lightning balls on SOA can fly and kick your *** during phase transition, they also evade and get stuck ACTIVE(and can not be blown up) if their target has been mindtraped or if the target gets thrown in the air by SOA

    6. Sometimes SOA still throws out Mindtrap in transition phases, which means insta wipe.

    7. SOA floor tiles sometimes do not reset and are just gone, resulting in a wipe.

Those are bugs that are still present in Eternity Vault, just at the top of my head, i am sure that i can remember a few more if i would spend my time on it.

Eternity Vault is just so horribly riddles with Bugged encounters, and the most buged one out there is SOA, can not believe that they did not test him before they released the game (cause if they had tested him they would not have released him in the current state, its a freakin joke)

  18. There are two kinds of "lockouts" from what we have seen.

If you get locked out of the consoles and they are no longer clickable, you've solved in the incorrect order.

If your consoles are clickable but the wheel doesn't turn when you click, you're experiencing what is probably a bug. I say it's probably a bug because resetting and doing the exact same order has always resulted in success for us when we run into this type of problem.

If this is how they want the encounter to work, a little feedback might be cool to add. Like an "Incorrect Input" error message. Something vague, but to let people know its a mechanic and not a bug.

This game has such a long history of quest objects incorrectly becoming non-interactable that it's very understandable that you would believe it to be bugged.

Thre is not a single hint of how to complete it on hard/nightmare (the freakin wheels) ppl already know the way to get the minimal amount of clicks to advance the wheel, but even if you are doing it as fast as possible, the consoles becomes unclickable when you advance to the 3rd wheel, and no, thats not an enrage timer......

How can this not be a bug, if there isnt a single hint of what order the wheels would need to be in? my 8-amn group have tried every possible solution on hard/nightmare pylon to see if anything would fix it, but no "workaround" has worked for us so far.

So, please enlighten us on how you managed to do it w/out it having bugged, and if you are just gona repost what you have said, then dont bother, already tried.

  19. Should get the Matrix Cube as your 2nd relic.

There are relics in Karaggas palace that has Endurance and proc chance abilities on them, im still waiting for the one with healing proc to drop :D

The DPS version has a chance to do 208 internal damage over 4 seconds (stacks with your +damage from what i have been told) and can be procced every 10 seconds or something like that.

  20. Ya, definitely not the case now. 10 bonus healing will give 41.2 healing to the entire cast.

By the way, Innervate (and Force Lightning) has 4 ticks, not 3. It has an initial tick and then 1 per second for 3 seconds, all of equal magnitude.

I know, just didnt call it a tick since the tooltip says taht it is an insta heal followed by healing over time for 3 seconds ^^

  21. Bonus healing isn't added 1:1 to abilities. For example, 1 bonus healing gives 3.7 additional absorption to Static Barrier. Nearly all of the healing abilities have a Bonus Coefficient higher than 1, many of them above 2 or even 3 (for example, Dark Infusion has a coefficient of 3.41). This means that while healers only gain about 70% the benefit of Power to their Bonus that DPS does, they gain a much larger benefit from Bonus to actual output.

For example, we'll use Force Lightning and its cousin Innervate as an example"

Force Lightning deals 127.19 + 79% of Bonus Damage per tick. Since 1 Power = 0.23 Bonus Damage and 1 Willpower = 0.2 bonus Damage, this equates to:

    127.19 + 18.17% (Power + Force Power) + 15.8% Willpower per tick.

Innervate heals for 364.88 + 1.03% Bonus Healing per tick. Again, converting to Power (1 Power = 0.17 Healing Bonus, 1 Willpower = 0.14):

    364.88 + 17.51% (Power + Force Power) + 14.42% Willpower per tick.

Force Lightning scales slightly better with Power and Willpower (3.77% better with Power and 9.57% better with Willpower, to be exact), but its still pretty close.

That is the reason Power is so effective for healers. Most of your abilities scale better than 1:1 with Healing Bonus.

The general form I've found for Corruption is that assuming about 1500 Willpower buffed and about 1200 Force Power from weapon/offhand, Power, Alacrity, Crit, and Surge will all be within 3% of each other in value if all 3 of the following constraint equations are (approximately) true:

    Alacrity = 150 + Power/10

    Crit = 150 + Power/10

    Surge = 150 + Crit/2 = 225 + Power/20

    That's your ideal stat balance.

Hmm interesting read i must say, was looking for that information and did not quite find it anywhere (the coefficiency) so i just assumed that it was a 1:1 since i tried it in beta with Innervate and a +10 bonus healing was +10 spread out over the 3 ticks O_o
