  1. NO.

No incentive to log in after you have done the 15 days of dailys for the Rakata Ear+implants.

Nothing to do outside of Operations except for PvP or gearing up Companions, which is not incentive enough for me to log on, i unsubbed since there is not enough to do at end-game.

And yes, i have finished KP and EV, my guild finish -> both <- Operations in about 4 hours on Hard/Nightmare.

  2. what always blows my mind in any MMo,

is the amount of people that stay on a games forum and bash it day after day,

how about moving on? or do the majority need serious counseling?

So, expresing their oppinions for a game that they WISH would change, is bad?

No its not, i unsubbed yesterday and have been active in the forums pointing out what i want to se in the future for SWTOR and also pointed out what i find boring as hell.

If you cant deal with others expressing their oppinions that you dont agree to, then the forum is probably not the right place for you.

  3. And this is the thing a lot of players are missing. It's easier to add the stuff needed to improve end game and give it longevity. Not as easy to change up the whole leveling system. However they don't want to give BioWare the time to possibly do this. The forums should be pouring in with ideas instead of whining. Discussion should be about how to make something like this work instead of "My way or the high way."

What you are writing, makes it looks like BW did not listen to players when they made the game in the first place, or that they learned from other MMO's.

And if that is what you are saying, then i agree, Bioware totally failed on that, they certainly did not do anything new at all, they only expanded on old beaten things and that is not what MMORPG players wants anymore.

I think that, one of their biggest misstkes was/still is that they invested so much of their time and money for Voiceacting.

When a player hits lvl 50, and have seen every flashpoint/Operation, he/she will most likely not be phyched enoughto sit down and se that cutscene/listen to that SAME voiceatcing again.

Seriously, i dont know wat they were thinking, since the game ha a lvl cap of 50, why would they think that players are gona sit and "enjoy" voiceacting after lvl 50? i sure as hell didnt enjoy it the 2nd time i heard the same phrases and words, it gets old pretty fast, even when lvling.

  4. They had years and the last year they were working on "Polish" as they say. The game should have been in better shape. I had high hopes for SWTOR, but you can plainly see BW put their money into Voiceover and at endgame there's nothing to do but boring Wz grinds, a laggy boring aoe fest in Illum grinding, or easy heroic fps, operations. You're geared up in a week or so. I gave them 2 months, they get no more money from me. I can already see how they are with communicating with the community, and how they break the game even worse every patch, because they don't really keep it on the PTR long enough to make sure it doesn't break stuff on live. It's unacceptable, and I expect higher standards for a game of 2012. I probably would have put up with it if it were 2004 but not today.

I agree wholeheartedly, this is 2012, not 2004. Gamers have become stricter when it comes down to what they play and pay for.

To me it is clear that Bioware missed that point and thaught that their bugriddled game with sadface enda-game would appeas players. Well they are not getting a single $$ from me again untill they add enough entertainment to the game, to make it worth it (that means incentive to log in every day of the week, right now theres nothing to do outside of Operations, and even then you are done after 2-4 hours with both KP and EV, yay, grind borefest pvp? no thanks.)

Yes i have completed Nightmare modes, im not a hardcore player in SWTOR; im just someone that can play really well, and that goes formy other 7 guildmates that also unsubbed due to having nothing else to do than PVPing.

  5. I unsubbed yesterday, will not pay for a new month.

I will wait for patch 1.2, and if that does not bring incentive to log in most days of the week for me, then it will be the end of SWTOR for me, i will not wait for them toget their **** together if they fail with patch 1.2

Oh well, since i am no longer paying for the game, i dont really care what happens in-betwen the patches, but i do hope that 1.2 will be a good patch that will bring me back.

What do you want to se in patch 1.2?:

Enough things to do solo outside of Operations to keep me busy and entertained, incentive to log in every day. Daily commendation quests only lasts you 15 days if you do it for character progression, nothing to do with the daily commendations after that unless you feel like gearing up companions. Something like faction reputation grind or anything else with a good reward for it, would be incentive enough for me to log in and grind.

New Operations tier with bosses that will be rewarding to beat. And most of all, i hope they will have diffrent mechanics in diffrent difficulty modes. Going from normal to nightmare w/out seing anything new with an encounter is like "*** IS THIS SHI*"

PvP warzone rebalancing (not class balancing) medals should be gives out for completing warzone objectives, not for beating on as many players as possible.

  6. I will wait untill patch 1.2

If that patch, does not bring something that will make me log on most of the days in the week, then i am not gona pay for it anymore.

I'm tired of loging on only on tuesdays to clear EV and KP in 4 hours and then have nothing else to do for the res tof the week in the game due to lack of content (both single player content and group content ->4-16<-), and no, pvp is not something i enjoy and wouldent want to pvp for 7 days anyway.

Add content that makes me log in and play daily, or im quiting if patch 1.2 doesnt add that.

  7. Yet my guild still cleared EV hardmode with ease today (we do karaggas later in the week). Not once did anyone mention any of it was more difficult due to the surge nerf. Quote numbers all you want, the game is still easy.

Oh please....hardmode is nothing, its like normal mode with a tiny bit more damage.

For hardmode operations it will only be noticable for those players that are yet to get their gear up, but for Nightmare mode, it will be noticable for everyone.

  8. I found the Inquisitor story very lackluster, i was very disapointed in it, dont want to spoil anything, so ill just say this:

You gather power for a very long time, and then in the last few class stories, you totally suck, i mean...you never use anything at all compared to what the enemies you face use. And thats after you have gathered more power than the enemy has, i find it rediculus and i am disapointed.

And also, there was not much happening in the Inquisitor class story, and certainly no intrigues, no scheming etc no nothing.

  9. Do the daily quests, if you do all of them (belsavis and ilum) you will get 165k-195k (depending on how many mobs you will have to kill for quest items)

Every 5 days you can buy a daily commendations rakata item (earpiece, implant) and they can be sold on the GTN, current price for a rakata daily commendations item on my server is: 1.2mil credits.

And thats from 5 days worth of doing daillies. And you also get 3 mods that are better than anything else you can get outside of HArdmode flashpoints that you can also sell. (they sell for 50-80k on my server)

Dont forget the daily flight mission :D it now gives you 2 daily commendations aswell =)

So th easiest way of "Farming" for Biochem materials would be to gather the credits and just buy it from GTN, you will have more than enough credits to buy whatever you need if you spend about 2 hours each day on the dailys.

  10. This is an MMO, and i use that term loosely

    Hes topic is still valid.

I agree, there is not enough to do outside of Operations, once you have Columi gear or better and have the daily commendation items, then you pretty much dont have anything to do unless you just want to enjoy the same quests for eternity.

So far that makes it 15 days worth of doing dailys and you are done with whatever you can do outside of Operations (as far as Character progression goes)

If there was some grindable faction reputation of something similar, that would be fun, but there isnt, in fact there is nothing else at this moment to do than what i mentioned except for PvP, which is lackluster in my oppinion.

  11. 3 and 5 are not bugs.

People need to move away from ligthning balls, and the person blowing up needs not to hesitate when running into it. Easy if topped up.

As to Soa's throw, it's a raid mechanic. Of course it should kill people.

The others are VERY ANNOYING bugs indeed.

Don't forget invisible lightning balls and platforms disappearing! ;)

Actually i would say that lightning ball + swirl after eachother is a bug. Why? because the player is most likely dead unless he/she recievs a big heal after hes run into a lightning ball.

This has happened a lot to my 8-man group in Nightmare that: Player gets targeted by Lightning ball- blows it up, and immediatly gets targeted by swirl (yay...for flying corpses after a few seconds)

  12. THis

its only a problem for players who are ProActive with theyre abilities. if i was to slow down it wouldnt be a issue...other then the horrible flashing

right now i always have my next move queued by 0.25 seconds and with the hotbars always greyed out its a real guessing game trying to remember which of my 31 abilities i have ready to go.

    +1

All abilities are showing as "not ready" when waiting for the new gcd animation to finish, dumb stupid crap change.

So you try to do some flashy thing, and end up *********** it for most players, BW you sure screwed up on this one.

Add a button to turn off that horrible crap flashing me every time i use an ability.

  13. This makes me a sad panda :( I so hate Khem Val

I have to say that, i also Prefer Xalek over Khem, simply because with Khem it takes a good 3 wseconds before he attacks anything at all, with Xalek its instant Force jump :D

    Hope they fix Xalek soon.

  14. Hello Bioware,

this is some sort of open letter to you. Hopyfully I won't get flamed too much and hopefully there is a chance that you guys read it and welcome my feedback.

This letter is about raiding in Star Wars: The old Republic in 16 man operation groups.

We are a 4 year old raiding guild with our roots in a well-known MMO which suddenly has pandas :D

We converted to SW:ToR and love the game. We hope that raiding will bring more joy than other MMOs do, and we are willing to invest much time and many ressources into the guild organisation and putting up a decent raid pool.

Since the beginning of January, we have been running 8 man and 16 man operations. We think that the raid dungeons are fun and are very much looking forward to seeing the new content in March.

But what surprises us is that Bioware seems to have no interest in supporting guilds who run 16 man operation groups. The loot is the same, and it is more difficult to kill the encounters than in the 8ppl mode - although it is the same level of difficulty.

Since players see no advantage in going 16 man dungeons, they split up into many small guilds and go 8 man only. They clear the dungeons in hard and nightmare mode and are confident with the loot.

We, as one of the few 16 man raiding guilds on Darth Revan's Mask, now encounter huge problems because of this. It is very hard to find more players for our raids, and, in addition, our existing players move away to smaller guilds. Not because we are not good enough, but because they want to have nightmare raids, which are not possible in 16 ppl raids (at least not for us).

So, our dilemma... people leave because of various reasons, and others have no interesting in joining for 16 man raids.

In our opinion this situation destroys the efforts to establish a culture of raiding in larger group, and players are not rewarded for their efforts when joining 16 man raids.

This is an attempt to wake up Bioware and to make them think. Hopefully there is a chance that you hear us and that you begin to ask yourself if you want to let the larger raiding guilds die.

Maybe I am being to overdramatic, maybe I am even "whining" in your eyes. But still there is some truth in my report here.

    Thanks for reading.

    Best regards

    Unix

    PS: Constructive criticism is welcome.

There never was any Incentive to do 16-man Operations instead of 8-man Operations, the day they announced same loot per player for 8 and 16 man, thats the day i decide to just go with 8-man's in SWTOR, why bother getting 15 ppl together if you can get 7 others with you ? way easier to controll it since....its only 8 ppl :)

If they do add in some items that will only drop in 16-man in the future, then i will do 16-mans, but at this moment, nothing is gained from doing 16-man Ops vs. 8-man Ops, which is freakin LoL.

  15. I will stay Biochem for the single reason: I am lazy.

Will not be botehered to farm credits so taht i would be able to use adrenals that i at this moment can use for forever.

I do hope they make the other crew skills viable for end-game in the future, instead of nerfing a crew skill that most players take due to the end-game perks vs. having nothing to show for, with another crew skill.

  16. Pacify the boss on frenzy's?

I know our sentinels do it .. I assume there is a sith class over there that gets a mirror skill?

We run 2 sent's in our 16 man .. they rotate Pacify's and the tank just laughs during frenzy's.

    Win?

Correct, Sith warrior-Marauder has it. Obfuscate: Obscures the target's vision, reducing its melee and ranged accuracy by 90% for 6 seconds.

As mentioned above, since bosses are not supposed to be affected by this ability, it will be fixed in future patches.

  17. On live Xalek is currently bugged.

Bug: He does not benefitt from +Shield rating, and Absorb rating. And he should.

Xalek only benefitts from +Defense rating, which makes Khem 10x a better tank. Khem Val also has Heavy armor, which will always be the winning factor (unless they buff Xaleks armor buff)

Khem will always have about 5-6% more RAW armor mitigation than Xalek.

  18. Ok so im lookin for some tips on how to heal through this fight, mainly his frenzy. it was my guidls first time in KP last night so we didnt quite know what to expect other than what some people read. we went 2/5 without to many problems, until we got to Foreman Crusher. So far my guild runs with 2 sorc healers and have done fine through EV and up until crusher.

When he Frenzies should i (as well as the other healer) be just powering out our most powerfull heal? the first time we didnt know how hard he hit so we ended up failing. second we failed cause i didnt noticed he was about to frenzie. third we were doing fine but by the end of the second frenzie i was out of Force or runnin low.

how we did it in the last fight was i focused on main tank because i have the better healing gear while the other sorc stayed on the tank till after frenzies then topped people off.

right now ive got 4/5 of my PVE set and the rest is all epics (except for my saber) of either PVP gear or rakata relics ive made for myself ect. My heals are on average over 2800 without crit and 3500-5000+ with crit. We should be plenty geared for KP it just seems like this fight is throwing us off guard.

anyone have any tips on how we can get through this?

The Tank should use 1 of 2 survival cooldowns on the first, and then hes 2nd survival cd on the second frenzy. On the 3rd frenzy he can use an adrenal.

Also, 1 healer should pop relic or Adrenal on the frenzy. It is quite easy to keep the tank alive if these things are done.

Tbh, he simply doesnt do a lot of damage if the tank pops survival cooldowns, without anything tho, it might get a little hectic.

And adds should be down before the frenzy starts, so you should not have to worry about healing anyone else than the tank.

  19. the healing set bonus is ok, the dps set is absolutely terrible.

Compare to the dps pvp 2 piece bonus, 1.5s reduced cd on crushing darkness (great) and heals you for 0.5% health per tick (meh, but its more a bonus effect on top of the other)

They did write on "things planed for the future" : Able to move set-bonuses over to other pieces of armor.

Guess we have to wait for that untill we can trully pick.

  20. The PVE set-bonus seems good for that they are supposed to be: small things that still counts.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Sorc Healing set bonus.

Healing set-bonus: (2) Reduce the cooldown of Innervate or Healing Trance by 1.5 sec.

Healing set-bonus: (4) Increase your Force by 50.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Sorc Dps set bonus.

Dps set-bonus: (2) Reduce the cost of Lightning Strike and Force lightning or Disturbance and Telekinetic Throw by 2.

Dps set-bonus: (4) Your Affliction or Weaken Mind damage has a 10% chance to increase

Alacrity by 5% for 15 seconds. Cannot occur more than once every 20 seconds.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Assassin Dps set bonus.

Dps set-bonus: (2) Saber Strike hits restore 1 Force.

Dps set-bonus: (4) Increases the critical chance of Trash and Voltaic Slash or Double Strike and Clairvoyant Strike by 15%.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Both the Dps and Healing Set-bonuses seems fine to me, the only thing that seems a bit lackluster is the Sorcerer (2) piece set-bonus and the Assassin (2) piece set-bonus.

Dont forget that you can remove the mods in the "Force-Mystic" armor pieces and move it to a "Force-Master" armor piece instead, that way you get the mods you want AND the dps set-bonus, if that is what you want :D

  21. We were going out during the rocket attacks and the dps was there to take him down all the way. Just a few things would happen every time

    1) When I would take the fire dot from the gun, wouldn't get the heals in time sometime before getting knocked back and then die. Can this be removed?

    2) At the start of the fight 2-3 people would always die

If you are having those problems, then it sounds a lot like the tank not picking up the boss as you run in to start the encounter.

If you die after the knockback from the droid, then your healers sucks OR your whole party is taking damage that they shouldent, thus needing heals that should be on you.

I would put money on: Your healers sucks. (Im a Sorc healer, done Hardmodes, progressing in nightmare atm)
