  1. I've been subbed since a few weeks after release. I do not have a level 50. I'm disappointed that BW made this decision based on some completely arbitrary metric. I wonder why they seem to value that customer more than they value me. It isn't enough for me to quit, but I am still disappointed.
  2. What they need to do is cut it out with the instancing everything
  3. No, they won't and your last paragraph is all sorts of wrong. There is plenty of room to tell good stories and expand in an mmo. why do you think there hasn't been a Warcraft 4? They've been telling that story through WoW.
  4. could take cover off the global cooldown that would help a bit i think.
  5. yeah it is an annoyance, but a minor one. It is kind of goofy that i can see the offline status of guildmates, but can't add them to my friends list.
  6. this isn't new, and I would argue the implementation in ToR is actually worse than in other games. an appearance tab would be much better.
  7. They may not know what the forum term is for it, but they know about it.I've seen more than enough people complain about it, including members in my own guild. To them its just abilities not working correctly when they want them to work. You may like TOR better than you did Rift, but and thats fine, I didn't either, I only last about 2 months .The Rift launch was an objectively better launch than the ToR launch from a technical standpoint.
  8. You should know that getting a full refund on software is damn near impossible, no matter who or where you bought it from. It just doesn't happen. If you hate the game that badly just cut your losses and move on. If only i could get a refund on all of the games I bought I wasn't satisfied with.
  9. you mean a WHOLE extra minute? oh dear god this is reprehensible. we should not stand for this sort of tomfoolery! even a single second wasted is too much! just port me to the exact location on the planet for that matter!. It can take me, on average upward for 90 seconds to run to specific quest objective! My time is so much more valuable then this!
  10. It takes what, 5 minutes or less to get pretty much anywhere in the galaxy? that is not a big deal. travel is pretty easy in Star Wars. You can also get a fleet pass that has an hour cooldown if that isn't quick enough for you. it does not really need to be any easier.
  11. I enjoy the stories and questing more on the empire side. I have a level 30 jedi Sage. and a level 16 Sniper. The imperial agent storyline is really cool as well. the Sage story is kind of meh.
  12. Every MMO has had their own share of issues at launch, and after patches, some more glaring than others. Just because other games have had issues does not mean this game deserves a pass for them, any more than the other games did for having the same issues. It is a ridiculous argument to make. If BW breaks something, then the community needs to call attention to it or it may never be addressed. You could make an argument against all the melodrama if you want, but we should never, ever give a company a pass on screwing up their game.
  13. There is no validity in any of the arguments because the argument is simply "i don't want to have to re-level in order to play a different class.". That is all it will ever be. it is sheer laziness. The problem is they are trying to associate the advanced class as just another specialization when that is not the case. being able to switch your advanced class would be akin to switching a warrior to a mage in any other MMO.
  14. WoW did not dumb down their dungeons because of LFD. they started doing that well before it was ever implemented. I remember quite clearly when cataclysm launched the dungeons and their heroic modes were quite challenging. I stopped playing WoW a few months after cata released and I am sure there have been nerfs to them since, but your idea that this is somehow linked to the dungeon finder is sketchy at best. LotRo LFD was just implemented and to the best of my knowledge no changes were made to the dungeons. Rift I'm not so sure .I quit playing it within a few months because I didn't really like the game that much. I'm sure you are reaching just as far with with it as you are with your other "examples". First of all when I said a "few" hours a day, I meant three hours or less. Second, if I understand you correctly, I have to spend months or possibly years meeting people before I am able to run flash points with any degree of regularity ,and you somehow find absolutely nothing wrong with this? I'm not new to MMOs. I get the social aspect of th e game. it is why I play them afterall, but this is the biggest crock of **** I've read on this forum .
