  1. There is no %-based DR. Stop quoting noxxic! As a healer you want around 200-300 crit rating. And to get more Alacrity, you exchange your Precision enhancements with Alacrity enhancements. I wouldn't go beyond 300 surge rating and actually prefer a rather heavy alacrity build.
  2. Endgame PVE: Relic of Boundless Ages (for burst healing) Relic of Serendipitous Assault Don't ever use the Relic of Ephemeral Mending. It's just pure crap. PVP Relics: Matrixcube Relic of Serendipitous Assault
  3. Actually, Surge is at 68%. And you got something terribly wrong here. Alacrity reduces your GCD. So you'll be able to get in another heal in your rotation (12 instead of 11). Surge DR hits like a truck at 70% and has become less important with the crit nerfs. So please, fellow healers, do not listen to this guy.
  4. It actually works different then the previous poster said. The said boss attack takes place exacly 3 seconds after its shield drops. Tanks have to spot immediatly then. Also, you get more damage, the more circles you delete. There's a stacking debuff that you get when you delete a circle. If you have 2, the disinfection will hit harder. Unlike the above poster said, it doesn't matter, if you run over other colors or keep standing in a circle or run through the middle. The essential thing to remember is the tank's spot at the right time.
  5. Your're wrong, it doesn't break on damage. Test it in a duel, if you don't believe it.
  6. www.torparse.com is your friend here. It's got really nice analytical features.
  7. Bet lost. To make myself clear. The AoE Heal is really nice and it allows you to be pretty lazy, but if you want to minimize your overheal and have a higher effective heal / force, innervate, resurgence, dark infusion and bubble are much better, if only 2 people are taking damage. Let's look at the fights, where 3+ people are taking dmage and standing close together throughout the whole 10 seconds of the AoE heal. 1. Kephess EC (not happening here) 2. Toth and Zorn (happens only if 2 melees are on toth and after red circle phase) 3. Kephess TFB (yeah, phase 2 and 3 it's helpful) 4. Firebrand and Stormcaller (helpful after DD) 5. Colonel Vorgoth (minefield, if cleave doesn't get kicked) 6. The Writhing Horror (the short time where the horro faces the group? maybe. End phase only if the tank doesn't spot the adds and they attack different people) I wanted to see, if I can heal without the AoE and tried it in Asation HM. It worked out pretty well with actually higher eHPS. Thats what I meant by "Try it!".
  8. I kinda disagree with Kitru, too. While the Operative certainly has some nice cooldowns, they have a rather long cooldown. I actually think my Sorc is much better at staying alive due to rooting knockback, stun-bubble and of course the greatest of it all: Fadeout (gotta love it when smashers jump you). All 3 are on a much shorter cooldown then the Ops defensive skills. And yes, I'm putting out the same numbers of heal with my Sorc as with my Ops. Haven't played my Merc in PvP much, but I can see its advantages, too. Will probably try it, once they nerv stun-bubble.
  9. And I'm guessing you love to overheal and look at your 3k+ hps in MOXParser. Truth is, The AoE Heal is only helpful in a couple of boss fights (If you have 3+ persons taking constant damage). And you can well do without it. Try it!
  10. I do both dps and heal on my merc. I switch out 5 pieces between the two specs. I have the heal head and dps chest on at all times (Those two have power/surge). I have 2 gloves, boots and greaves. One with accuracy and one alacrity each. I also have implants with alacrity and accuracy that I switch. This gives me about 300 accurary in dps gear and 300 alacrity in heal gear and also the 4-piecce bonuses for dps and heal.
  11. 30% surge? Way to much and not even possible without the +1% from compainions. You wanna balance Surge and Alacrity/Accuracy in endgame gear. Over 300 surge rating doesn't do much good. Once your're close to that number, put the rest in the other stat. Oh yeah, and also saying 35% crit is also missleading. Merc healers get a ton of bonus crit. What you should look at is the crit ration. That should be between 250 and 350. Where you end up is basicly personal taste. I run with 335 crit ration at the moment and like it.
  12. My guess: Your healer was either not fast enough to cleanse the yellow circle or he/she cleansed another player by mistake.
  13. Do you wanna PVE or PVP? I have all 3 healers and none of them sucks (I wish people would stop saying that about the merc. I guess it comes from staring at MOX parser and seeing a Sorc do 3k+ hps where 60% is overheal). So here's my opinion: Sorc: Very easy to play. Very boring in PVE. Has the best AOE healing potential in the game. Not so great single target heals though. Not very mobile and the big heal is the longest of all healers (2.5s), small heal is garbage. Easy resource management, especially since it got the self heal. In PVP you go hybrid and that is actually great fun. I would really love to see the faces of those smashers when they pop my bubble and I sprint away . ( 7 buttons ) Ops: Most mobile of the healers. Great HoTs. Has the highest hitting single target heal in game with 2 s casttime. resource management it also fairly easy since it's rotation (which consists of 2 skills^^) is almost energy neutral. Can quickly recover from burning its resources due to diagnose scan. The AoE heal is also quite good and is instant and doesn't require people to remain in one spot. ( 6-7 buttons ) In PVP it's a fricking die hard with its spammable instant heal below 30%. Coupled with a tank, you can take on 4-5 players for quite some time. Merc: Imho, the most fun healer to play. Mostly stationary though. Has some really nice big heals with short cast times (1.5s and 2s). Very effective healing. Probably the hardest resource management though. But once you master the class, it is very rewarding to play. The AoE kinda sucks but is on a shorter cooldown then the other healers AoEs. Haven't played the merc in PVP, so I can't comment on that. You do not see too many of them though. ( 9-10 buttons )
  14. That's exacly what it is. At least everyone one else here did get it.
  15. No he didn't. Learn to read ("Is it intended that players be allowed to come into warzones with 11k health in sub 50 PVP or PVE armor in 50 warzones?") And 11k is kinda low. Most newbies I see are at about 12k with BH buff
  16. 1500 dps average on 8-man is pretty much correct. We beat the enrage timer with 2 maras and 2 ranged totaling about 7300+ dps. so that's about 1500 dps for the 4 damage classes each and another combined 1300 dps from the tanks. We're using the old 3 - 1 tactic and burn stormcaller first.
  17. What you were seeing was actually his alacrity percentage. It's a bug (you should notice, that the alacrity rating is empty when you inspect another player) and its been there since the beginning. Furthermore, the +4% you're seeing is actually your bonus, not his. Just another of those nice bugs that have not been addressed for over a year.
  18. Absolute heal is a pretty bad metric to measure performance of healers in a WZ.Heals > 1 million is only possible in a Civil War where nobody takes the middle or a very close Novare Coast. What is of some value as a metric is the hps also diplayed at the end of the WZ in the tooltip. I think my operative's and sorcerer's highest was around 1,100 hps. Haven't played my merc in as a healer in PvP so far.
  20. 2 Mercs that know what they're doing can heal an Operation with ease. Actually, any combination of healers should be able to heal the current content (with maybe the exception of 2 Sorcs healing Kephess Nightmare). I was healing Asation HM last week with my Merc and a another Merc and it was by far the easiest healing in that Op ever. Both had mostly 61ish gear with some 63. Not heavily overgeared in my opinion. So no, Mercs are not the worst healers. All heals are good (I have all 3). The easiest to play is the Sorc and the hardest the Merc. But merc is also the most fun imho.
  21. I'd say there are quite a few PTs that can outdamage your Merc^^ Look here: http://www.torparse.com/statistics Click on Terror From Beyond on the left, click the Dread Guard fight(Ciphas, Heirad, & Kel'sara) and choose 8 HM/NM at the top. Now look at the Top 50 DPS. How many PTs do you see? How many Mercs? This should also answer the OP's question.
  22. You really don't get it, do you? Of cource you can get MODs with endu, will and power/crit. But you will only get ENHANCEMENTS with endu,power/crit and surge/alacrity/accuracy. That is why only SURGE and ALACRITY compete with each other. You can only chose between those two! You obviously got like 500 surge judging from your 78% crit multiplier rating which is way beyond the point where the DR hits really, really hard (around 300 for most Healers and dps, madness sorcs go a little higher (~360)). Your're basicly trading 3% crit multiplier against 7-8% in alacrity which doesn't make sence. This is what everybody is trying to explain to you in the various threads.
  24. I can only comment this with my favourite pic from the famous / usr bug in Bumblebee: http://suckup.de/wp-content/uploads//2011/06/687474703a2f2f696d6739382e696d616765736861636b2e75732f696d6739382f353735352f74657374696e6773706f696c737375727072697365732e706e67.png

Pff, hör nicht auf ihn Sabo Heals sind die besten Heiler im PvP. Deine Stärke ist das Movement. Du kannst wie bescheuert im Laufen heilen, also laufe viel, brich Line of Sight.
