  1. Visibility of (1) Targeting Circle, (2) Targeting Reticle, (3) Combat Special Effects. Targeting: I wish I could adjust color, size, and brightness of the targeting reticle and circle, and have outlines with a secondary color (black, if not adjustable). Special Effects: I wish I could tone-down the special effects enough to be able to see any of the fighters or the nifty outfits and animations y'all have taken the time and effort to code into the game. My eyes are ageing. In Ground Combat: Once combat begins, I genuinely can't tell whether it's a KISS concert or the finale at Fourth of July. With the special effects occluding the action, there is currently no possibility of seeing my target circle or my target reticle... and often even the fighters. In Solo Space Missions: Both planetary backgrounds and the KISS concert reliably hide my target reticle for 5-10 seconds at a time (long-freakin' time in a fight), multiple times each fight, many times each mission. In these space missions this is particularly life threatening as there is no tab-targeting. I'm sure the current settings are peachy-keen for most. For me, though, once combat begins: depending upon the particular fight, I'm playing the game 50-100% blinded by all the flash & sizzle.
  2. Quality Of Life: I'd really appreciate it if the now 0cr Barbie drops could be either (a) changed to 1cr items, (b) sellable to a vendor, or (c) through whatever other mechanic, made as quickly flushable as they used to be. Changing them all to be 0cr added time cost to disposing of these items. 😒 The drop in credits was disappointing, but only really in the moment that I noticed it. Hasn't diminished my ability to buy what I need in game. The thing I don't like about this is the added time cost. It now takes more clicks, more active attention, more game time to flush the trash from my inventory. Can't just click each one to a vendor anymore. Have to drag & drop - then confirm - each one individually to drop 'em, or click 'em into the deconstruct screen and wait for the deconstructing animation I've seen a thousand times to play yet again in order to get unwanted trash out of my inventory. Sure, it's not a lot of time... once. But then, neither is running through fleet to get to your docking bay to fly to a planet for the heroics/dailies... once. Added up over the again-and-again-and-again, I now have a noticeable amount of time I spend watching the thingamajig pull itself apart, rather than doing stuff I find fun. At least when I used to vendor the items, I didn't have to wait through an animation of a vendor putting stuff away every time I wanted to dump the trash. TLDR: "Just stop looting," and "Only take what you want," don't solve the issue. Yes, I could choose to just not loot my kills, but then I would miss out on credits and maybe other currencies and occasional other loot I do want. I could also choose to not auto loot but instead look carefully through every loot window and pick & choose individual items, but then we're back to added time cost (a big one), with an added interruption of action-based activity, to boot. There's a lot of fun, story/event-related stuff to do in this game. I'd rather be doing that. If we're going to make something require more time from the player, could it be story instead of inventory management? I know, Barbie items aren't true vendor trash ("Junk") like gray items, but consider the fact that there was a reason dev's once upon a time added the "Repair All" and "Sell Junk" buttons to the vendor interface. That reason was Quality Of Life improvement: reducing the time cost of a highly repeated non-interesting action. Making all the Barbie drops 0cr caused a step backwards in QOL.
  3. I have 2 of the 4 mounts. Entered the code, and the screen merely refreshed. No message. Nothing. Checked in-game, and no new mail.
  4. TrixxieTriss, your idea led me to think about other characters... which made me think of this character's twin. That led me to what might have been the solution. (ref: my latest edit to OP) Thank you very much!
  5. Thank you for your idea. I just checked on another character that uses a MK-3, and it worked as it's supposed to.
  6. I really enjoy the Consular story as well. I have more Consulars than any other primary class, and still enjoy the story each time! Regarding toxicity of general chat and Imp vs Pub, I think that shifts back and forth. I don't spend much time seeing general chat - mostly only when the game forces me back into general when I zap to fleet either from stronghold or using emergency fleet pass. But I have noticed more people being mean - and far more mean - to each other Pub side than I ever have Imp side. I won't call that a universal truth. I recognize that's just my experience. Maybe it relates to time of day with different people tending to play at different times. But to the OP, I will say your experience may differ. Only way to know for sure is to jump in and find what you find.
  7. Thank you for your idea. I have removed all traces of any antiviral relic from my character (equipment, hot bar, inventory), and then bought a new one (MK-3). Equipped it, dragged it to the hot bar, and clicked. Still get "Access denied."
  8. Went back and made sure. It's the MK-3 equipped on the equipment screen and it's the MK-3 on the hot bar. No other antiviral anything on the toon - equipment, inventory, or hot bar.
  9. Thank you for your idea. Unfortunately, after going back and triple-checking that I only had the one MK3 relic - and that it was indeed equipped and also showing on the hot bar - I get the same result.
  10. Thank you for your idea. After exiting - and restarting computer entirely - I get the same result.
  11. The kit requires level 45+... I'm level 75. The kit requires Newcomer standing with THORN... My THORN standing is Champion. I have the kit equipped (relic slot). I put the equipped kit on my hot bar. When I click the hot bar to use it, I get the message "Access Denied." I played on another toon earlier today, and had no problem. Worked as advertised. Only difference was earlier I was on a lower level toon who used a MK-2 instead of a MK-3. -- What am I not doing right? (Edited to add results of respondent's suggestions, below) (Also edited to add workaround) * Shut down & restarted my computer and the game. * Re-checked multiple times that this toon only has one Antiviral Kit MK-3 relic. * Re-checked that the relic on the hot bar is the same as the relic in my equipment. * Removed all relics from equipment, hot bar, and inventory, and- * Re-equipped & re-hotbar-ed with one MK-3 relic. * Checked on another character who uses the MK-3 relic. Works fine on that one. Still same result on this character. Blech-y Workaround: I have now found the game does let me Use the MK-2 version of the relic. So, completed the missions using the MK-2. I mean, okay... but transformed fun into disappointment. Mysterious Resolution: It might have been a thing with the character's name. I have two characters with near identical names. One is simply the other name with an extra letter at the end. Same build, but one Imp & one Pub. (It helps me remember which character I'm looking for among my silly number of alts.) The character who was denied access to the MK-3 is level 75. Her twin was not at the time the problem existed. Because I didn't have any other ideas, I started to wonder if maybe the server was applying the restriction of the lower toon to the higher toon also, due to the names. I leveled the lower one up to where she could use the MK-3. Got one equipped on her, used it, all good. Hopped back onto the higher toon, equipped it... and used it, all good. I don't consider this proof-positive, but I'm comfortable saying it might have been related to the name. Whatever it was, I'm glad it resolved. Thank you, everyone, for the troubleshooting ideas!
  12. So far, I've always left her in her original gear. If I stumble onto an armor set I think would be more fitting for pub side and still come off seeming like her, I might go with it. To me, her rocking her own gear feels more like it's her, rather than just shapely_female_9. But that's my thing. Doesn't have to be anyone else's thing. The conceptual strangeness of her associating with a republic lapdog doesn't bother me.
  13. YES Freezing in place and DC's are the rule, not the exception, the last week or so. I, too, am playing other MMO's, and this is the only game I'm experiencing this problem with. Sheer torture, trying to get anything done. Even just trying to travel from point A to point B. Also, leveling a new toon, and the XP boosts are completely stolen by this. Freezing in place, waiting for the game to allow me access to my computer again. But I can see the timer on the XP boosts counting down the whole time, and when the server finally admits what it's doing and DC's me and I load back in, I have indeed lost several minutes of the boost. Just not worth playing, currently.
  14. A (scoundrel) healer was my main for a long time... I agree with everything louisfriend said, but what I've quoted above is the crux of it all. It takes a different way of thinking, creative/careful use of all your tools, and tends to require patience. But it's doable.
  15. Still bugged. Plus, for enhanced BW fun: invisible mobs attacking me. Thank goodness I am playing a toon with a strong AoE attack. I can eventually luck into the correct area to take them down before they kill me.
