I think the annoyance is what keeps "everybody and their mother" from flooding the market and crashing the whole economy in game. I'd rather support they keep resource rarity as it is

I'll try to make this clear as well if you reverse from recepie from vendor Green to Blue = 20% then Blue to Purple = 10% If you reverse from dropped schematic which is already blue then : Blue to Purple = 20% then Purple to even better Purple = 10%

Hello, I noticed something the other days while I was examining equipment on other players. So I'm looking at this commando and I'm thinking he"s got a nice and shiny big cannon. So I examine him... and find out proudly that he is wielding a weapon that I crafted! But then it hits me... his cannon is showing Green quality in the examine window... and I have never sold anything but purple artefact weapons that I have made. It's not a big deal except it cuts down on my "free" advertising, as many will just not even look at the stats since its a "green". Anybody else noticed this?

Yes I can confirm that bad luck still exists.... took me 42 tries to get Purple schematic from the Blue Item...on a lvl 41 pistol... and of course not the Purple I was looking for... Tooltip did indicate 10% and I am rather sure that in RE for "regularly crafted items" (base Green schematic bought from Crew skill vendor), the % chance does not change depending on level. It may just seem "harder" as the time to actually craft the Item you want to RE is indeed longer Green to Blue : 20% Blue to Purple : 10% I havent looked at rates from the "mission schematic" (like the lvl 19 or 39 pistols/riffles/canons) Hopefully it goes Blue to Purple 20% Purple to "better" Purple 10% <= on this type I did manage (pre patch 1.2) one with much luck, got the "better" purple on my first try, and exactly the suffix I was looking for. So i guess you get lucky sometimes...and other times not.... (edit : damn colors not always working in forum....)

If you want to see those YOU HAVE TO SELECT Rarity different than ANY: if you leave Rarity on : ANY, nothing shows up for those aforementionned categories of Items. Just pick "Cheap" and they do show up

Ok I am usually using the French Client and patched up the English client as to see this "infamous" tooltip...and there it is.... WOW, it's crazy small, I would have expected a separate tooltip other than the one that describes the object ... All I can say is that if you play on French or German Localized clients, sack up and patch in english so that you avoid any blunders. (for those who don't know how, when you launch the game and get to the log in screen, click on the options button (looks like a gear) and change to English in the options. Save. Log-in to start English patch). you can then change from English to French/German from this same options menu in the Log in window) Cheers

Thanks for the clarification:), because I've stopped running scavenging missions now that I have nice gathering rounds mapped out for most resources. But I do run a lot of investigation missions. I guess I should have tried to run lower tiers one in great numbers to test last night and this morning... but I was focused on Tier 5 resources.... and with those running around an hour per, didnt get much of a chance to do a lot of them

Now I'm confused, I thought it was from INVESTIGATION missions that you get the schematics Are you saying we can get them from SCAVENGING missions also?

The "infamous" RE Tooltip also seems to be missing from the French localisation client.... On the "increased" chance of schematic, this seems particularly true for "green" to "blue"... the first 3 green RE's (RE from green I made myself to unlock the blue schem)... bing bing and big : 3 tries and got all three blue variants. Seems a bit too easy... I am currently the ONLY armstech that provides at least one variant of the purple schematic for pistols, canons and riffles for all levels (9,13,17,21,25,29,33,37,41 and 45) ...... because I have always been a MMO crafter and I spent lot's of credits to fuel my RE'ing frenzy... and lots of time collecting my own mats... I have had just little time before the server went down to try some "blue" to "purple" RE... and I hope the success rate has not been too significantly improved, otherwise I feel I have wasted so much before 1.2....
