How about giving melee DPS an actual reason to exist in PVE. I don't PVP at all, so I'm not going to touch that, but when it comes to the mechanics of PVE this game is FAR too biased towards ranged DPS. There is tremendously little reason for someone to play PVE as a melee DPS based on mechanics of fights alone. Melee DPS is put into harms way FAR more often than ranged DPS and as such should be given some love in the PVE game. Bigger risk should equal bigger reward. Melee DPS numbers should be superior to ranged DPS numbers due to the complexity and danger melee DPS are in. There are countless encounters int he PVE game where ranged DPS can sit back and pick off foes and not worry about repositioning at all. The time spent by a DPS running around to reposition is time that they aren't by-in-large, putting out damage - which is something rangers don't have to worry about (nearly as much).

I purchased the Kolto Orbital Strike on my Jedi Sentinel. The flavor text of the ability says that it regenerates health and my class' energy pool when used. This does not regenerate my Focus however. I assume that the wording needs to be fixed as opposed to the ability being bugged....am I correct? The wording should be more clear to say, again, we at the SWTOR team want to continually pooch (in relation to the insane bias towards Range DPS being so much better) Jedi Knights so you are the only class whose energy does not regenerate.

I'm halfway through as well and the process has been pretty fun. They are very friendly and ask some really cool questions.

Hey there fellow Sents, I'm a fairly new level 50 Sent and I'm a fairly casual player, but have been doing quite a few HM FPs with my guildies lately. I am coming to the realization that there is no real point to being melee DPS in this game. Ranged DPS puts out very comparable damage numbers while doing it from a (relatively) safe distance. There is basically nothing a melee DPS toon brings to the table that a ranger can't do more safely and sometimes more efficiently (can put out damage when I am running to next target if my Force Leap is cooling). Plus they start out with full "ammo" or whatever it is while I have to build up to my hard-hitters...while being in the danger zone. I don't really understand this, what I perceive to be, imbalance. Any insight for a player who is kind of getting a little frustrated with literally the ONLY class in the game that he's interested in? Ah, forgot to add that this is purely from a PvE standpoint. I don't PvP at all so I have no comments about it at all.

Wait...what? You don't like the idea of someone who chooses to solo be able to complete their own heroic story...solo? You know that players can STILL FORM GROUPS, right? I don't get how this is a bad thing. Oh right. We all have to like what you like. Right.

Paragon City represent! I can only DREAM of the day my Jedi Sentinel plays like my Claws/Regen scrapper or my Dual Blades/Super reflexes scrapper. Now those toons felt heroic! Until then I will keep playing and loving my Sage. I think I am going to try respeccing into the TK or Balance tree to mix things up a bit just for kicks.

I sincerely doubt that people who resort to using "QQ" and calling people crybabies are all that concerned with crafting a logical argument. It is absolutely clear that the Sentinel is sub par compared to other DPS options. I honestly think that the people who claim otherwise (and then go and claim how much skill it takes to play a Sent well and how they do it so well) are looking to have their egos stroked by strangers online. What a sad existence.

For the most part, the 20s were a breeze for me. I hit 30 and I'm Alderaan and it's a joke. I have to rest after EVERY SINGLE FIGHT. Yeah. Real heroic. My Trooper just mows through so easily. What was BW thinking?

I'm starting to feel the same way (level 31). I have no idea what BW is doing making the Trooper SOOOOOO much better than a Sentinel at dealing damage. The Trooper is better in absolutely all respects in this game. Want to feel powerful? Roll a Trooper. I think I will be.

The vendor is back in now. Just bought a new crystal 10 min ago.

I received a black-yellow crystal in the in-game email system for my pre-order. Is there anywhere I can purchase another one? I'd like my Sentinel to have twin black-yellow sabers. People in-game said that there is a vendor on the Rep. Fleet, but I couldn't find this vendor anywhere. Thanks!
