  1. I am wondering how it is considered that my account will be more secure via the new log in style. Since anyone reading these forums can see my log in name now and yet none know my email address, how does it make it more secure? In fact using the forums here they will know definite SWTOR players log in names whereas if they have a random email address they would not even know if they played SWTOR. How does allowing people to see half the log in requirements assist with the security of the account? (not including a security key) I am probably missing something here but just wondering what other peoples perceptions are?
  2. Is the amount of items you can win in cartel packs very limited or am i just unlucky? I have bought about 10 -12 packs via sub and some of my own money and i seem to have a ridiculous amount of female dancer clothes and menace emotes. How do other people feel about them, do you feel you are getting value for money or is it more like lotto and only a very small minority win?
  3. I do not feel the game is terrible, i really like it in a lot of ways. What i do not like is the poor way this game was managed, considering the amount of support they had. It is mind boggling how they did not have LFG, better ui etc at release. I think a lot of people did not like the attitude they seemed to take, which seemed to me to be... It is our game, we will do it how we see fit and they can adapt to it. I really do think they thought they had a "WOW killer" on their hands. They may have had too if they had played their cards right, instead of trying to pull a joker out of the pack. I do believe this had the makings of a brilliant game, because of management decisions (including too early release) it became an average one instead. This is an enjoyable game but, some parts frustrate the hell out of me and i want to kick someone at Bioware where it hurts just the same
  4. If you had asked me what i was most looking forward to, well this would be it. I am unable to fathom why people don't understand why people are upset about it. Does it mean I'll stop playing? probably not...i just do not like being deceived. Waiting until this time to tell players a core part of the promised patch will not be introduced is deception to a degree. People can try and sugar coat it but they must have known this was a possibility a time ago. To make matters worse Ilum is broken by the devs own admission so you have to wonder if they can ever do any high lvl pvp competently. For a maxed lvl 50 the pvp is sub standard as it stands and it should have been one of the first things done right.
  5. I think WOW only had 2 end game instances when it was first released. I do not think there have been many games of this type to have never ending content at end game right from the start. I get more bang for my buck they anything else i pay the monthly sub for. Most of the people complaining about nothing to do, zerged or rushed through the content A normal person would i think be getting their first 50 about now i would imagine, if not i imagine they would not have had one long. I am not normal so i do and a couple of high lvl alts too. If people rush through the content and then have nothing to do, sorry i feel it is your own fault. For less than a dollar a day you can play this game as much or as little as you want. If you relaxed and treated this more casually it would probably benefit you. Go out and get some sun, vitamin D is good for you I think Bioware even said they are catering to the normal style of player not the people that rush through the content, so they have stayed true to what they said. I am not really the fanboy, Bioware have pissed me off a lot as well. Not letting me choose what warfront i want to play, population imbalances betwen Empire/republic, uneven warfronts at start of games, crashing straight to desktop when enter a warfront from space, stupid UI!, the map irks me, major slowdown or crashes during mass pvp, non related character reward when i had 300 or whatever tokens from space missions, skills not showing their animations in pvp and lots more. That said this is a newly released MMORPG and people need to give it time to develop and grow. Even with all it's issues i still feel the postives far outweigh the negatives.

    Quitting warzones

Not letting people choose their own warzone is ridiculous and should be done away with. Evidently it is so new people get to experience Huttball? If the game is any good they will get to play Huttball as people will select to play it???? That i think is the problem, they know most people would not select it so they need to force paying customers to play a game they do not want to (i am not saying everyone). How is that a good business model? How can it be considered good sense to make paying customers play a game they do not enjoy? I can only say that some of the decisions made by the devs are inane and border on eccentric and this is one of them. I just quit these games most the time and will keep doing it, so people possibly get to see Huttball disadvantaged which would give an even better impression.....
  7. Every time i enter a warzone that has already commenced and we are losing. I will also quit every Huttball game. Let me choose what game i want to play please, I am paying you and not vice versa!
  8. I think Asherons Call pvp was best and a lot of that reason was you could actually dodge spells. I also liked the fact that you could loot the other players corpse if you wanted to. Also every class if they wanted could heal, your class was a lot more adaptable. Never needed to ask for tanks or healers when wanted to quest either, any could come. WOW has never had good balance and it was really bad in vanilla. I could be half asleep and kill most classes on my warlock, i think the only ones i was wary of was rogues. Occasionally there was the odd really good player of other classes but WOW was definately unbalanced, i bet it still is. SWTOR's pvp so far has been pretty decent as far as i am concerned. The balance does need tweaking but even if it was perfectly balanced some would disagree.
  9. Legacy sounds good, but at the moment all it does is a name. The thing is that it's about rewarding people for time played, not a healthy option and not really a fair one if it's designed for anything significant. I am hoping it's just for vanity pets and the like.
  10. I do not understand why people complain about using a spaceship and the time it takes between planets. Most games of this have time sinks in the way of travel and generally SWTOR's is faster. The Zepellins and boats in WOW were way slower for instance.
  11. Are the objectives that get medals really objectives that win games? Eg you do not get one for planting a bomb or scoring in Huttball, you do get one for like a 2.5k heal which may be to yourself from climbing in acid etc? Just saying the objectives may not encourgae team play in some aspects/
  12. You are not able to use a macro and neither am i so all things are even i imagine? i guess not because i am happy to play without them. I do not like macro's in the game and i will not use them but others would and feel they are necessary? So the people who need macro's it's obvious they become better players with them so why would i want to give them an advantage? lets get something straight the game is about pressing keys on a keyboard and using a mouse basically "along with decision making" so less button pressing is a huge advantage as far as i am concerned. Let me simplify it, if the macro user was wanting to do the same actions he could do it pre programmed with one button, i would need to press several? Want the game played for you much?
  13. We were playing a warzone and the other team did not get the objective, we were well on the way to victory, blew through the first door and about to get through 2nd and game ended due to too little people. Victory was given to the other team which is total rubbish. So evidently if your about to lose draw straws and one player or 2 quits and then you can change a loss to a victory, Get stuff like this sorted Bioware!
  14. I have mentioned this before but if they want to penalise leaving a warfront with a deserter buff, they need to stop putting people in games that have already started. They need to let people select what warfront they want to play in and not decide for them. The lvls of warfronts at least should be something like 11-29- 30-49 and then 50's. 49's vs 11's is silly. It should be broken up more than that but at least broken into these divisions. Games should not be formed unless there is even people each side. I agree with the OP on all the other stuff even the deserter buff but with the above proviso. I do not like the concept of having all these abilities and then it being negated by one ability that shunts you off a cliff or whatever, but i have done it myself and it is fun so not that dirty on it
