  1. I am almost to the end of the story, and if it really is this hard a nerf could be good. However, BioWare please keep it hard. Most of the bosses have been really easy, i think the final one should be difficult. So PLEASE do not over nerf it.
  2. If you are a defense guardian this is a very important ability. Through leveling your tree you get a sheild that increases defense by 6% for 6 seconds upon use that is important, and it is only 1 focus. Use it. http://sithwarrior.com/forums/Thread-Immortal-Defense-Compendium-A-Tank-s-Guide-To-The-Galaxy Go the section under focus consuming priority to see a better description than i gave I if you are not a tank however it probably isnt as good.
  3. I LOVE this class. Even early levels. I mean, holy crud!! A class where i actually have to use my abilities to succeed? What!!! I like hard games myself and that is one thing i have not liked about mmos, they can get mind numbing sometimes. I think this class is great, and while i dont think of most mmos as "hard" games i like having to know when and where to use my stuff. Also it is weird to me how while tanking i dont have to have EVERY mob hitting me. Just the worst of it, so long as the healer is taking no damage. In fact the healing system is set up to work that way too. Also CC's are huge and the knight gets a lot of that, you get a lot of contol in a fight. I think that is the main problem people are having with this class, learning how to use that control and the resource system. So i say if you are having problems, give it some time. It was a little weird at first and then it really takes off later. Have fun out there everyone.
  4. What makes the class and abilities complex and not just button mashing is the resource system. Never be maxed out, and never be below 2 focus (the low number might be different for a dps). I personaly like the way the class feels, however i am a defense guardian and that is a little different. I would like to add that i have a g13, so that helps too. I just got it and have been very impressed, took some getting used to though.
  5. Yeah, as a guardian tank i am usually in the top 3 dps and always number 1 in defense. I am also brand new to mmos. If you know the class you will do well. It is not an easy class, resource management is harder than most. So you need to know your abilities well.
  6. I love it. Its a huge rush knowing that because of the work you are doing, everyone else is alive. Without you they die. Also pvp is awesome. Throw that guard on a dps, proceed to faceroll.
  7. Everyone has had a lot of good points to help. Here are my two cents. Everyone has hit on CC so im not even going to go there 1. Just because you had 2 healers does not make you invincible. It means you werent doing enough damage. With that group you cant take too many pulls, you cant kill the mobs fast enough. 2. Make sure you know your class well. Read up, i have, make sure you have a good rotation and have as many buffs activated as possible. Many of your ablilites give you some type of DR. I play as a guardian and this is a biggy. 3. Always, always, always use your interupts. Above the picture of your targeted mob there will be a little bar that pops up when there is an attack you can interupt, do it. This saves you from a ton of damage, and can be the key to not having a wipe. I'm sorry if you already know this, but even if it isnt new info someone may find it helpful. Hope you can have some fun with this great game, grouping is my favorite thing aout it right now.
  8. I do not think a nerf is needed. The main thing is his fire dot, in my opinion. Once that is removed he is ok. Didnt see it at first, and as the tank got killed in about 2 seconds, lol. I think that having some more difficult content is a really good thing, and i am new to mmos. One thing i did run into was a bug for the mando raiders flash. The floor would light the group on fire, no matter where or when you were. The second we went in the room we all got lit on fire and died. Had to pull him in the hallway and fight without our healer...Even once he was dead we had to go across the floor one at a time while being healed to grab whatever it was we needed to finish on the other side.
