  1. I'm glad to see that you've been reading the Dev Tracker when they already addressed that issue.
  2. Wow, this validates this post and makes it 100% constructive.
  3. yeah, it's also kind of annoying to see a guy named MWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMW running around the server, but heck, he paid too I guess.
  4. Rule of thumb: If it says (stage 1), chances are you can turn in the quest before finishing the rest without losing the bonus quest. If not, and you turn it in, you'll lose the bonus.
  5. You'd be surprised. lol, when rebuilding my old 2005 PC, I wanted to put a Phenom 3.4 processor in it, but even though it supported PCI-e, it's chipset was the AM2, not the AM3 which the Phenom required. And this is why I'm saying you really need to do the research on what is inside your PC. Even if it was rebuild a year or two later, there are still huge leaps in technology. Computers are a never ending change. However, it's your money, spending it how you wish. This is just my obnoxious need to throw my 2 cents in everywhere. lol (I'll add that I'm a Tech/iPhone developer/programmer on the side for various other projects not related to SWTOR, just to add some credibility to what I'm saying.)
  6. Hang on, hang on.. you need to take a step back. Computer building 101: You CANNOT just go slapping pieces together and assume they'll all work! You need to start by looking at your current hardware and seeing if they're compatible with new hardware. Between 2002 and 2012 there were fairly large jumps in technology. Trying to slap an AMD Phenom 3.3 chip into a motherboard that doesn't support the AM3 socket is just going to waste your money, if not damage the chip. That's $230 dollars you just wasted. Same theory is applied to any other card you plan on adding to your computer: It's not a lego set you can just keep replacing pieces with. If you want add a new graphics card, you first have to see if your power supply has correct power to run the higher end graphics card. Also, you need to see if your motherboard supports PCI-e/PCI, or if it runs AGP (or ISA for ANCIENT computers). All the parts on a computer are interconnected with each other. Anything you do on one will affect the rest of the machine, even down to how you install RAM. Let me put it this way: When I started to upgrade my old machine, I did the research, looked up the parts I wanted, and realized that building a new machine is what I needed. Want to upgrade the CPU? Required a new motherboard. New Motherboard/64bit processor (for 64bit OS) meant more RAM. The type of RAM was dependent on the Motherboard. you can see where I'm going with this...
  7. your problem rests in your RAM. The system requirements for a 64-bit OS is 4 Gigs minimum. Having 3 gigs means your home computer doesn't have enough resources, and your OS is hogging it all.
  8. oh wow... total fail on my half. LOL Completely misread that... my apologies OP! I should be in bed at 2am.. not being a forum troll. lol
  9. a little cocky thinking we should all know you?
  10. Can you explain what you mean as "fragile"? I don't understand it... do you mean very fast, but fizzles out? (insert sex joke here..) lol this actually is serious, not a troll post
  11. Shadows/Assassins can do similar and restealth... not saying 2 hit, but it's unfair to lump them as unfair becasue they can restealth when another class can as well.
  12. I'm 45 and my guy still tanks well, using abilities and timing well. I guess... l2useYerPet?
  13. I humbly take my seat back on the laptop comment. lol But like I said I do see an increase in lag. Especially at a level of when abilities fire and go into cooldown vs. when the move actually hits. This is evident with interrupts and heals. I do ask what you're doing with 4 gigs of memory that you're only using 66% of it. My friend has 4 gigs of ram in his computer, and we captured his ram at 93% used. What's your CPU usage at?
  14. Why doesn't the other faction kill them? It's a pvp planet...
  15. Dude. Out. Effing. Standing. lol I litterally lmao'd at this. Great work! /sign
  16. You can't make someone play the objective if they don't want to...
  17. Spammable force lighting (yes, I mean FORCE LIGHTNNG.... don't try to tell me it's a mix of abilities cause I watch the damn cast bar).
  18. I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but your computer might really be the problem. 1) 2.1 Ghz is not all that good anymore. Most people who game will have upwards of 3.0-3.4 (mine's 3.4 and I build my computer a year ago). 2) 4 gigs of ram is going to hurt you on a 64-bit machine. The minimum amount of RAM for a 64-bit IS 4 gigs. Meaning the computer will not function if you have 3 Gigs, or even 3.9 Gigs. You really should use 8-12. 3) I can tell that you're using a laptop because you have a new graphics card (the GTX 550) with a slower processor and low RAM. Gaming for laptops really hinder for the following reasons: a) Laptops are designed to be a mobile platform, thus, suffers severely in performance for it's mobility. You can see that in the fact that you have a 2.1 processor. 4 gigs of ram actually can seem like a lot for a laptop, because the industry standard seems to hover around 2-3 gigs of RAM. b) Laptops don't have the power to compete against a tower computer, which is built to higher performance standards. c) Desktops are scale-able: you can upgrade them. If you need a new stick of RAM? Just throw it in. Yes, you can do that to a laptop, but if you want to upgrade your video card, good luck. Video cards are on-board with the motherboard. Meaning you need to replace whole motherboard, at which case you are better off buying a new laptop. Same can be said for power supplies, ect. I don't mean to sound like I'm ripping into you, so please don't take it that way. I will say that I do see an increase in lag. However, I think you may see it more because of your computer. 19. This. lol I've seen this way too much. Get a Guardian (or sith equivalent, I've been on both sides of the fence), and they literally just click-click-score.
  20. Wait... did you just drag free market/Laissez-faire into a video game.... for a second I thought I was reading an Occupy Wall Street flier...
  21. Use your Dot removal when you get to a higher level.... I'm not one to say "OMG LOLZERZ STOP QQ'N GO LEVEL NUB", but I must say, this does kind of fall in to the category of knowing how to use your class/knowing when to fight/knowing when to use your defensive abilities.
  22. Dey Derp'd Der Derbs!
  23. Yeah, I lost faith in the Resolve bar. Sounded great pre-launch, was excited to try it, and now I just find myself frustrated playing CC-wars in Warzones. I spend more time worried about which class will spam me with CC's more than I do playing objectives. Even 1v1 it's all about who stuns you first, or who force waves first... ... but that's getting on a different internal rant I have with myself
  24. this x100. Who the hell cares? Let him play how he wants to play. You can't tell him to go level before playing because he doesn't meet YOUR expectations. He paid for the game too.
  25. lol, I thought of that. I was thinking more in terms of future armor values when adding higher level armor plates to the suit. Sorry if I'm dragging this off topic. lol And thanks for the links!
