  1. The title says it all. good points star wars franchise bioware story companions voice overs (just the class story part, the rest of it was just a waste of money) neutral points crafting system bad points operation difficulty glaring operation bugs crafting system voice overs (non-class quest ones) lack of exploration lack of quality of life things that other games started with lack of direction lack of imagination Glad to be back on Telara, Hello again Trion =) No, you cant have my stuff
  2. I think this is the most retarded and laziest thing you all could have done, BW. What exactly is your theory behind it, how does it fit into the SW Lore/Universe. Did Han force choke someone? Did Luke toss out a flame thrower out his rear end in some missing segment of a directors cut or something? In what book did you all get this mental idea from? The only way that I could feasably say this is an ok thing to do in the game is if and only if, the power looks like its coming from the companion themselves and not our characters. So if Im running around with my bad Sith Warrior self and I have Vette out, and I press that heroic moment button, Vette should run up, do a flame thrower attack and say some cool thing like "HAHA, fire burns, nerfies!" This and silly goofy pets....ya... O.o you all need something better than what yer currently smokin, cause this aint gonna cut it
  3. lets not forget the fact that some of the areas your brought to in ToR you can NEVER EVER again with the same character go into (unless its a daily) Also, even without the flying mounts, WoW still felt much bigger than any of the areas that we can run around in ToR. One simple reason for that is because WoW used islands and ToR uses planets. In WoW, you go from one end of the island to the other, and during your journey, the landscape would change according to the area and zone you came from and are entering. In ToR, you're in a specific zone, if you wanted to keep going, you'd have to hop spaceport to spaceport. While it may be bigger in scale, it feels small because it doesnt feel as seemless
  4. When SWTOR was being created and coded, the devs remembered their childhoods, that first red wagon they got in, imagining it being a red hotrod of a car. They broom broomed the engine, sputtering and spitting, growling the motors hum. Pulled on that stick, gotten from the tree in their back yard and pretended to put their sleek-fast ride into 1st then 2nd gear. Boy was that a blast, huh? Are we having fun in our red rider wagon yet? When do we get to actually drive the real thing?
  5. The example given with the child finger painting the walls vs doing their homework is absurd. A raid of 7 to 15 other players vs a child finger painting on the wall isn't the same. Of course the parents wouldnt need to use high-tech gadgetry to deduce that their child with the paint on his/her hands was the culprit. If it were that easy to determine who did what and why, people wouldn't need logs. But because we do not have that ability in MMOs (yet) we need these addons to help us determine why Boss A didnt die when he was supposed to and what caused the wipe. A better example would be, if you were going to go spelunking in a dark cave with no natural light, would you bring a lantern or a blind-fold. Man didn't create fire out of thinking a piece of wood will burn, he made a tool to help him make it burn. Im sorry to tell you this, but everything you do whether it's work or play _is_ a mathematical equation. Right now you invest your time playing the game your way because you feel it will bring the MOST fun for YOU, and that is fine, play how you want, but don't enforce your ideal onto others, how they play or I play is up to us. Individuals that join and band together to form a guild choose their rules of play, if you don't like that rule, go find others that have the same rules you like to play with. As for turning the group and the game into a mathematical equation. Bioware set that guideline up for any and all players that decide to raid by placing "enrage" timers on certain bosses/battles they turned the core group of players into a mathematical equation. All that "hard core" players are doing is attempting to optimize their gameplay to beat the equal sign so in otherwords...if its hard to accomplish, don't bother with it. I am honestly glad that not everyone thinks like this, because if they did, we'd never have the ability to fly, go to the moon, or for some look that girl in the eye and say "wanna dance?" Challenge me, Bioware, I dare you.
  6. Agree and Disagree Agree because, as a raid lead and tank, I notice other tanks rarely, if ever, use them, and that is sad. An Oh-chit ability not used is an ability wasted, you could have reduced the damage you took considerably, especially if others die in the attempt at a boss. Those heals you took, could of saved their lives (i know, this is an "if" statement) In my opinion as a tank of 5years in various games, knowing the bosses moves and abilities and when you can negate some of them through better management of CD's is what a tank SHOULD be doing. Disagree because, depending on the boss and the situations that arise, you MIGHT need your defensive cooldowns at 84% or below of the bosses health. The best use of CDs (again my opinion) isnt to just blow them when they pop up, but to utilize them and maximize their potential on bosses. For example: during the first boss in EV HM. I use my CDs, throughout the fight, usually right before a slam, a swipe and even each missile salvo. So again, I agree with you in some regard, "oh chit buttons SHOULD be utilized more, but not used just to use them up"
  7. =( i miss my lightning cannon /sniff /sniff
  8. is it worth getting? does it affect all our abilities or just abilities with the keyword "Force" in it like force choke, force push
  9. Hey gang, my guilds at the stage to where we are about to start raiding HM 16 full time. I know that the loot to difficulty ratio isnt anywhere fair between 8 and 16s, thats not what this post is about. I wanted to know if anyone could confirm for me if there is or isnt a bug for master looter in hard-modes? last night we downed the first boss in EV16 and we had it set to FFA and I was right clicking on items to pass out utilizing our EPGP system, but when someone picked up their won item, they picked it all up. That individual had auto loot off, but it still went through. Id like to nip this in the bud by not having to deal with any more FFA issues and set it for master looter but I heard that the bug for HM's were removing gear from the drops and not passing them out correctly. can anyone confirm and if possibly detail how your guild distributes loot with the faulty and messy loot system for hard modes thanks F
  10. Question, i was told last night that master looter for HM was bugged in that it either mysteriously ate drops or that it just didnt work at all.... can someone confirm if this info is correct?
  11. if your referring to mechanics like if raid wipes then boss and boss room resets if that is too hard to code, i suggest BW fire current coders and hire new ones
  12. im pretty sure that "face" is there, you just cant get it by just the face alone tho, the complexion is part of the look as well, and im sure its closer toward the end of the bar to get the deep looking reds/facial hair like that
  13. so i have a question...to those of you stating things like "trion is a good company, but the game they made is...boring" are you really that naive, that blind? Trion gave brought to you a pretty polished game, from out of the box to everytime there was an issue there was a fix shortly thereafter. But, here you all are...making claims as though ToR is the godsend of games and the end all be all of MMO's when...its just WoW 7years ago.... At least Rift was WoW at it's peak (when it first came out) and had a lot of the things MMO players that used to play WoW wanted... Dont know about you, but I'm playing a beta right now with ToR. It's great they fix bugs...but dont make claims that "well when trion fixed issues, more issues arose" because that statement is true for BW also.
  14. Can anyone tell me if 8man operations are on the same lockout as 16man operations? I'm talking same 8man EV Normal and 16man EV Normal are they on different lock outs or the same?
