  1. I only participated in the beta briefly, but I never happened across something that has been mentioned several times now on the forums in recent months. In the beta there was allegedly a working 'gambling game' (using in game credits) on Hutta, as well as two story missions involving Pazaak and Sabaac. What these missions contained, I have yet to find out, but if someone could provide some more solid information about what exactly was available/the outcome of those quests, whether they were pure story or if there was actually some sort of pazaak mechanic intended for the game at launch. Video evidence/screenshots would be of particular interest, as being able to demonstrate that these assets existed would be cause for us, the forum community to use this evidence to kick up more of a fuss about it. I know i know, bug's etc need tending to, but if there's already ready made content regarding this, I want to know more about it >.<, especially when it involves pazaak/any kind of minigame being in SWTOR.
  2. Is it 200 or 300 pages that a thread get's close and re-opened? Well anyway, BW just make Dalborra a destination server, let Master Dar'Naalan's and GavD user's come and join us. The people who choose to stay on their respective servers can then be merged in to a secondary server, chosen between MasterD and GavD. We'd be left with: Dalborra - Oceanic Mainserver GavD or MasterD - Oceanic secondary server [for those that want less lag/enjoy a slightly lower population. BW If you tinker with Dalborra, especially now that we're actually clawing our way back to decent populations, then I officially give up, I will not lose my names again, nor will the hundreds of people I've known to be on that server since Oceanic launch. We were lucky/smart and picked a PVE server [which typically does have higher populations than RP/PvP server]. My greatest worry in regards to this thread is that all this complaining [whilst completely warranted] will serve to get us handed a solution that many of us don't want , which is to be forced off Dalborra on to some 'new server' that doesn't exist at this time, which will result in thousands of people losing names that they specifically claimed at Oceanic launch to avoid that hastle/issue.
  3. It's a shame they never fixed this. My Sage has been gathering dust since it hit 50 due to my favorite ability STILL looking terrible ): Ah well.
  4. I agree with alot of the ideas, but I don't think it's feasible due to it relying to much on servside content, as opposed to the data being on our machines. In the event they re-released KOTOR, It should probably be its own stand alone client. The reason for this is that it could be created and sold far quicker then if it were intergrated in the the MMO itself. Though the diary idea makes it so that, technical restrictions aside, it is 'do-able' in that regard.
  5. Just find some 'obviously new' players in the game, and query them as to whether they even know who Revan is. I mean people are buying his Robes [which are incorrect, but that's another issue], without realising the importance Revan has in the original KOTOR storyline.. [Avoiding trying to spoil anything] Also, as an alternative to purchasing it, you could make it so that access to the HD remake is granted upon subscribing, or upon subscribing for 3/6 months or something. As added incentive to spend money on the subscription.
  6. Just floating the idea, I mean, the amount of time it would take to simply bring the game up to date would perhaps make it not worthwhile. But if it were done, perhaps even quickening the pace of the game slightly, so as to not have people who purchase it spending all their time playing that as opposed to SWTOR. It's more for the sake of helping the new comers understand the universe their stepping in to, whilst still being an attractive purchase to veterans. A lot of people these new people seem to have no clue about the era of the game or the history of the 'franchise'. KOTOR Is already sold through Steam, and if anything having it available for purchase on swtor.com would only serve to get people more excited about SWTOR/and the lore/history of the game. In the case of KOTOR all of the voice acting is their ready to be monopolized on, and you could perhaps even utilize existing game assets from SWTOR to eliminate the need for large amounts of working being done to bring the game up to date. I personally still have KOTOR and KOTOR 2 on my computer, so it's not for any personal reason that I suggest this, if they were to simply sell the first game at a realistic price, it could help to.. I dunno ... hire back some of those customer service rep's you fired, maybe we'll even get ticket replies again. Also as far as BW is concerned, KOTOR 2 had little impact on the galaxy/storyline as a whole. At least from what I've read.
  7. I simply mean tweaking any game play that was by nature 'slow' due to the limitations that game development was presented with at the time of creation, not so much changing any fundamental game play. Your concern is warranted, but its not what I was suggesting.

  9. You keep saying everyone's missing the point. Did you ever consider that it's you and not them?
  10. As opposed to Cyan War Hero Crystals, which just bind instantly the moment they come out of pack. -.- Friggin useless.
  11. Okay so, this isn't a major bug, its just something that, if fixed, would become a very cool addition to the game especially considering people have been asking for something like it for months. http://i48.tinypic.com/29vzeo5.jpg Here's a pic of the Chestpiece equipped and using rocket boots ~ It clearly is designed to make rocket boots appear out the jetpacks at the back. The problem with this is only I can see it, to others the boosters are appearing at my feet. It's also worth noting that anyone else with the chestpiece that i've seen around fleet, if they use boots, it appears at their feet. So the issue it a nutshell is that the animation appears to only be showing on your screen, and not actually appearing that way to other people. On the upside, it looks great, it'd just be nice if others could see it the same way. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=578056 --> Here's a thread from CS section trying to tell me its not a bug, but *shrug*, I disagree, as would many others, nonetheless I am doing as advised and posting this here..
  12. Probably best thing I've read on these forums in ages.
  13. If you mount up on a vehicle and inspect someone, it works. I think it also works if you just use rocket boots.
  14. I suggested this months back. Its not viable, and here's why. From the moment a patch goes live, BW is already on to the next patch, for the following tuesday maitenance (or if they're taking a week off, the week after that). It means that they're actually spending the 7 days in between working on the Developer Build of this game, which once 'patched' with the updates they wish to push live, the code is then copy and pasted on to the servers. So maitenance night isn't actually BW sitting down and fixing bugs, instead, they're just sitting there watching a loading bar/or are in bed, because its like 6am or something in America when they start loading a patch on to the game server's.
  15. Did you.. just go make a blog website.. and publish an article under an alias... So you could whinge MORE about the game. Seriously though, let me put the question to you - why should we care what some blogger think's. BW probably didn't respond to an ingame ticket of his so this is his way of 'getting them back'. YOU SHOWED THEM BLOGGER. YOU. SHOWED. THEM.
  16. This isn't a thread so much for the standard of testing, which we can only hope improves anyway, but instead a thread about whether or not you'd be okay with temporarily foregoing new content, to have the current content polished up.
  17. Just added a bit to the end of the OP, just wanted to say it's not directed at either of you, more of just an appeal to future readers to... you know.. maybe not troll/hate/flame for a change. If the community wants something done then they should try to focus on going about it the right way. These threads always turn in to a 'YEH BW SUCKS' thread, and that's not the intention here. The content that exists currently is quite superb, it just need's to have the [many] kinks ironed out.
  18. Oh sorry, i meant bug fixes/repairing existing features/improving upon them if its viable.
  19. They could spend a month or two working on a bugfix/slight improvement on quality of life patch for this game. All i'm saying is, if we just simply said 'Okay BW.. Take a breather on the story/content/new wz's/ops/fp's for a bit' and just focus on fixing whats currently there. Adding layer after layer after layer to the game, without smoothing out the creases in between is resulting in threads going all up an too 100+ pages over various and diverse issues, such as cartel purchases, in game crashes, the notorious 'memory leak' and so on. I can live without content such as a new planet and so on for a few months longer, if it means easing the frustration of what appears to now be thousands of users. All negative posts from various people aside, take a step back and look at the view count/post count of the threads that are considered more serious issues. If this is acceptable to you as a subscriber, to have BW still dedicated to bringing us Makeb in the near future, but in the NEARER future, focus on whats already there and how it can be improved on/fixed/or repaired, then please state so here. Maybe if we can show that we as a community can come to a consensus on this, they might hear us.. As for cartel updates, I don't see why they couldn't be continued whilst this patch is cooked up, I mean BW has stated they're a separate team so as to not pull resources away from other teams, but if they could help with a patch like this in anyway, simply fixing the broken purchase system would generate more profit for you anyway, so please, take a breather from new content, we have space/tfb hm/nim ec/alts/opposite faction alts/credits to save for cartel items so we don't have to pay real money for them/TONS of stuff to do for now. Pretty please BW ? It'd be nice if people didn't come here to argue and make snide comments about Bioware, the idea is to be constructive in your criticism if you want change.
  20. Go to the supplies section on fleet, and go to the daily terminal. Pick the quest up there called "Advanced gear", and then go to your respective tionese class vendor, you will then recieve your 99 comms, free to be spent on whatever you like.
  21. Here's a quote from my CS section thread, I'd love it if you didn't just assume you know the answer to a problem. Still convinced it's working as intended wiseguy?
  22. Does... that sound right to you... BW:here's 6 space missions.. complete 4 of them once only for fleet comms .... and then rinse and repeat the other two once a week? YEAAAAAAAAAAH.
