  1. Centurion gear was useful pre 1.2? I thought it was given to players so anyone with champion/bm could still stomp them, but at the same time allowing those centurion geared players to feel good about having some purples. EDIT: @ OP Why do you even pvp then? If the sole purpose of you pvping is to get gear and have a cool title, what are you working for? You will eventually get full top ranked gear and then what will you do? Probably come cry on the forums about having nothing to work for.

  5. Why do people care so much about stats? First of all no player can consistently get this amount of damage/prot/healing in every game. Solo queue there is absolutely no way. I'm waiting for people to realize top total damage has no impact on actually winning the game. Honestly where did you get these statistics? This happens 1/100 games when the tank assassin has 2 healers constantly on him and a centurion geared opposing team that is constantly allowing themselves to be aoed. Any player getting high stats like that is because the other team did a terrible job. Any Aoe class for example can easily put up 500k-600k damage if the other team groups up constantly and zergs everywhere. Extremely high damage normally means the other team was doing something wrong.

  7. I recommend going madness, people that go deception and later test out madness tend to stick with madness afterwards. It has extremely consistent damage and less need to chase bosses around all the time.

  9. Honestly the only true way to find out if a build is worth it is to test it out. If you just pvp this is perfect, you can respec 2-3 times a week testing out different variants of builds and changing up optional skill points. 31/00/10 27/00/14 Generally a tank can succeed very well with either of these. I also recommend testing out generator and focus. I personally like using both for different situations. I'd only use a generator with 31/xx/10 though just because I believe it is more tank oriented. Generator: (Recommend only using in group oriented pvp and in huttball) Pros Shield Chance (some people say this is a useless stat, I tend to disagree) More hp (I use the rakata generator which has around 140 endurance I believe) Adding 500-800 health (this can be life or death in huttball nearing the scoreline) Cons: Not as much burst damage (this is very evident) Can't get those 4k shocks
  10. Those teams of troopers are rough, even though the majority of players are sage/shadow.. Sorry low lvl pvp is not 100% balanced, the focus for pvp balance is and should be on endgame pvp. Oh and use your interrupt. Solved the grav round problem
  11. And then Dot spec'd sorc applies them on whole team and healer realizes he can't heal/purge through the pressure damage of a full group taking damage over time. Back to the Topic: You guys do understand that dots are meant to be pressure damage and not burst right? Obviously you cannot just throw 3 dots on 1 person and be able to burst him down in 5 seconds. Throwing those dots on the whole team however creates heavy pressure damage and combined with death fields can make it tough for opposing healers to heal through. Honestly I might start pvping with my sorc again in 1.2. At the moment the class just does not appeal to me pvp whys, large damage is achieved too easily through constantly aoeing with chain lightning and death field.
  12. You know in the new patch you can take out the armoring and keep the set bonus right? Obviously wouldn't be worth it to heal in full modded pvp gear
  13. With the new update the cost of consumption shouldn't be too bad, standing in your own aoes or resurgence should do the trick. 3% by itself is pretty decent, especially over a long period of time

Since the armormings will carry the 4 pc set bonus I feel like the pve sorcerers will be force into this 4 piece bonus. Will help negate the health loss of consumption Thoughts?
  16. I'd definitively go madness if I lvled my assassin again, it is an extremely viable spec. Probably will not get good until lvl 25ish (Death Field, Raze, ect. skills)

"pressure damage" not burst you will not burst a good healer but can pressure everyone around the healer so he has to pick if he is going to heal himself or his team. Right now darkness is one of the best tank specs for pvp.. idk how you can not like it. Only comparable one is an extremely good juggy in huttball.
  18. I'd recommend it, but I doubt it would get good until you get the ability "raze" for instant crushing darkness. Deathfield is a nice aoe (15s cooldown) and the 50% crit damage to thrash is not bad at all. (might want to stack crit for lvling purposes) Madness is really about dotting everything, throwing deathfield into groups, and thrash/saber strike for raze. Around lvl 24-26 Is when madness will probably start to really shine (raze, death field, 50% crit damage to thrash)
  19. Yeh I agree, it's a fun unique spec that actually puts out good damage. I mainly switched over because my guild has a few extremely good tank sins for pvp and I might have to dps for ranked pvp in 1.2. It's nice to have a good fallback option if I need to dps.

Only difference is Madness seems very "pressure" oriented not a lot of burst and tough to take down healers. I ended up going 5/5/31

  23. (1) How good is Maul for the madness builds? Is it worth throwing 1-3 points into Duplicity? (2) How effective is the self healing from parasitism and is it worth getting? (3) Should recklessness charges be used for death field and shock? (4) Should creeping terror be spammed on everyone? I've been a darkness spec'd assassin and love it so far but am interested in the madness for pvp.   24. Go back and reread the fight between Dooku and Anakin and you will see who was in control of it. Yes Dooku was going to let Anakin win but he planned on not losing until he decided it was the right time. By no means did he plan on getting his hand chopped off and disarmed in a fluid movement, and then soon after decapitated. Dooku throughout the fight was 100% over confident and was duped into thinking he had the upperhand.. both Jedis started off using there un-mastered forms and quickly switched over putting Dooku in a tough position. In Anakins "one on one moment" he 100% controlled the fight and this was when he was at his very best. Movie Canon > Novel Canon The movie shows Dooku getting overpowered and disarmed in the fight. His facial expression also showed unanticipated defeat. Does colored font make your opinion more valid?
