  1. QFE on the last part by the way because its too often *ahem* Oh, and Cookeville here.
  2. My question: I've experienced in other MMO's where guild members show up in the game world with their name/guild tag/etc. showing in a different color than the standard color (currently blue) that you see others in. Would it be possible to alter the game such that guildmates show up with, say, light green text in the game world?
  3. Since well before launch, there has been a persistent and annoying bug which prevents us from being able to add people to our friends list if they are not online, and the system responds that the player does not exist. Will this finally be fixed anytime soon?
  4. I wish there had been some sort of 'search' option to be able to see if various names were free or taken before committing to one. If you only have one name in mind already and it happens to be free, the current system works fine, but if you're not sure and are tossing around different ideas in your head a search feature prior to making a final choice would help.
  5. There is alot of confusion over orange/moddable gear. We understand, as Georg posted once, that the 'armor rating' increases as you put higher armoring mods into orange gear. However, there is still differentiation on the 'Armor' value to the left of the rating value, between Light, Medium & Heavy orange gear with an identical 'armor rating' mod slotted in. Most social vendors offer only orange 'Light' level armor. So, (a.) are there going to be Medium and Heavy versions of social gear added to the vendors, OR, if this is unnecessary, (b.) could you elaborate on the differentiation outlined above?
  6. Hiya Bacon, I remember you DW I believe went PvP server route, though I have no clue which one they ended up on. 90% of Tarq folks on a PVE server are on Canderous Ordo (with about 80% of those on Republic side) , and Blackpool has a good PvP Sith bunch on Kinrath Spider.
  7. I agree in general with the OP (but also agree with the person who posted the situational/'it depends' approach). Actually though, in some ways what gets me more are people who actually do try to communicate, but do it via /say instead of a tell/whisper, and then in some cases get cheesed off and send a rude tell followup or make rude gestures at you when you had no idea they were trying to communicate in the first place. Most people I know rarely pay attention to either General or /say unless they pointedly need to do so, as they've setup custom chat tabs to cater to isolate guild or party communication and cut out the public spam stuff. If someone sends me a tell, I'll always see it and almost always respond unless its a spammer or someone being rude, but I almost never catch something said in /say.
  8. Anyone looking for a workaround, Molohk's quote above is how you do it. I found this on a random Google finally a little under 2 weeks ago and have been much happier ever since. The 'Toggle Map Fade' function doesn't actually do anything, so hitting the key when bound to that function won't mess you up in any other way. Just make sure you keep the \ key bound to that function and don't think that once it seems to be 'fixed' you can unbind and keep it that way though. The minute you unbind \ from it, it'll go back to opening the Customer Service/bug window. I submitted bug reports on this problem a couple times in testing and at least once post-launch that I know of, hopefully they'll get around to fixing that before long.
  9. I've seen this in at least one other MMO, and it would really be helpful, particularly in crowded areas such as the Fleets, if you could see your fellow guild members show up with their names/guild tags/legacy titles in green (or any other color) instead of the standard blue that you see everyone else in usually. It helps them stand out and be more easily/quickly recognizable
  10. Hey Sid! Definitely recognize you sir. Shooting you a PM, good to see you!
  11. Even with a slower thread there's still more replies in this thread by far than the next highest thread in the Check-in subforum (Florida players). Closest SWG server check-in thread is Ahazi at just under 200 less replies than ours right now.
  12. Appears they did remove both the NPC/quest and even walled off the quest area. I'm really sad about that, it was the best heroic on Taris and the M-B title was one of the better titles too
  13. And wow, hi to you too Quix, finally some of the old traditional Tarq forum vets are coming out of the woodwork!
  14. Merry Christmas to all Tarquinians everywhere! Hope you all have a safe and happy holiday!
  15. When I came home for lunch at noon and logged in with the hope of doing space dailies I hit a 150+ queue...so things must have changed quick as the day progressed.
  16. IFN-SQ & TD have gone in together on a Mumble server. Its considerably better quality than Vent and you can find cheaper server hosts too. Here's an article on it: http://wow.joystiq.com/2010/07/18/ventrilo-vs-mumble/
  17. Awesome!! Glad to know you guys will be with us Mir
  18. Woot, nevermind the email I just sent you then LOL
  19. I randomly ran across Anjell on Tib just after I'd created him.
  20. Hey Gunner, did you just use 'Gunner' as your main character name? If so I can't add you to my friends list, though if you started on Tython that might be why.
  21. Haha I think population will be an issue once people filter in regardless of which server you're on, but no worries mel, you guys have fun over there!
  22. And here I was darn sure you'd have an alt named 'Fooska' *snicker*
  23. Yeah, I don't think server population is going to be an issue right now. By the 20th, we'll see maybe lol.
