  1. I don't care that you're a woman. How is that relevant to anything? And why do you think that there's not going to be queues, lag, and all the other problems related to a high population come this weekend when everybody is trying to play? This system does nothing.
  2. Forget the 20th, this staggered approach will prove useless on the 17th. The servers are going to be packed anyway and there will be queue times. This is a point I've made as well and it seems to go completely ignored by the people that are so rabidly defending it as a good plan. The way they're going about this is just serving to drum up passions and it's making this forum even more of a cesspool than it was before the wipe.
  3. Guess they went to sleep at 1:30 p.m. CST?
  4. The staggered EGA seems like an exercise in futility to me and it's just pissing people off. If their hope is to avoid crowded servers and queue times what exactly are they going to do this weekend?
  5. Considering there were about 6 other threads on the front page that were so against complaints that they were complaining themselves, I'd say we really needed this. Thank you OP, for doing us all of a favor and making this wonderful and fresh topic with your unique and interesting perspective on the issue.
  6. I don't because I'd rather see it available as an addon. That way BioWare doesn't have to be put in the position of alienating their ultra vocal casual players. The people, like me, who want it can use it and those that don't won't even have to deal with it, and it won't be BioWare's baby. They'll continue to direct their inane hatred at the tool.
  7. How about when the people from today are playing tomorrow and the day after that? What about when everybody is on this weekend anyway? To me it seems more like kicking the can down the road for the unavoidable, massive volume of people that will be playing the first 2 weeks.
  8. It hasn't really killed my hype for the game. After all, if it had I probably wouldn't bother reading these forums or tabbing over to my e-mail every once in awhile despite knowing that there are no more waves today and my code was redeemed Oct. 29. I wasn't even all that bothered by how they were handling this until it was like around noon and they said that was it for the day; and come to find out that servers are underpopulated. I want them to speed things up and get more people in front of me in the game so I can get in. Would have preferred just opening the floodgates or at the very least a timetable. While my hype hasn't died, between this and the lack of a grace period, this launch has left much to be desired for me.
  9. Ripples, waves. I want a tsunami. In any case, hopefully they do more than 5 tomorrow and hopefully they keep at it past noon.
  10. This about sums it up for me. I figured they'd get just about everyone in by the 15th to stick to the 5 days thing but I was basing that opinion off of the Thanksgiving beta. I was expecting a whole lot more people would be getting in today and I certainly didn't think they'd stop invites midday to monitor low population servers.
  11. Okay, but are all the people who got in EGA today just going to stop playing tomorrow? Will the ones that get in tomorrow stop playing on Thursday? Seems to me that queues are unavoidable this week in any event - they'll just be backloaded.
  12. It's ironic that they've got people on the forums chomping at the bit to get into the game and live servers with Light-Standard populations, and people taking advantage of a system that exists because of a lack of players. Here's hoping for a new server the day I get to start.
  13. You'll forgive those of us who don't preorder on faith. I made that mistake with DA2. I waited until October to pre-order after participating in beta. Anyway, I find the traditional method of opening all at once and letting things fall into place to be preferable. At the very least, since they have the list, they could tell people who pre-ordered between certain dates when they can expect to get in.
