  1. There is a large zone you can taxi to where you'll get flagged for pvp upon entering, similar to the den on Tat if you have been there. Where you land is a PvE area with a handful of quests for daily comms and a couple of flashpoints.
  2. Triage Adrenal works for healers. Not sure the difference between 'Power' and 'Force Power' though. I thought they were all the same.

Power, Tech Power & Force Power all give the exact same improvement to damage & healing. So while the triage is designed for healers, it's poorly itemized and frankly useless.

  3. You can crit on any orange armor piece. Right now it'll be in lower demand until more people get warhero gear for PVP or Campaign gear for PVE since those set bonus transfer with the armoring mod. The set bonuses don't tranfer with set that existed prior to 1.2.

You can also try getting augment schematics. The level 49 purples should sell well especially once people get rolling into the new critted orange pieces.

Basically the market will come around, just going to take longer than artificing/armstech did because of the lack of set bonuses on weapons.

  4. You can buy higher level schematics from your trainers. For hilts & enhancements there is usually a new one every 2 levels starting from level 7 or 9. Color crystals schematic happen only every 8 levels starting with level 7. Off hand items (focus, generators, etc) happen every 3-5 levels. There are also a few schematics you can find from running missions, boss drops & item boxes.

As for reverse engineering (RE), what it can do is allow you to learn a better quality of that same item. Everything in artificing except the off hand is linear meaning a green item will go to blue quality and blue will go to purple. You'll see the percent chance of learning a new item when you hover over it with the RE tool. If it doesn't say you have a chance at learning a new schematic then don't expect it to be learned, you'll only get mats back.

Off hand items are more complex. Base items have 3 different tier 1 improvements than can be made. All 3 of those have 5 tier 2 items that can be made from them. 1 tier 2 item is missing from the game last i knew. So 1 starting off hand item can yield 3 tier 1 schematics and 14 tier 2 schematics. Check out this post under prefix RE for a lot more info on that.

Now as to how to go about everything, I would focus in on what you can use first. If you try to tackle everything at once you will go broke quickly. Being a shadow you will find a lot of blue hilts & enhancements available on the commendation vendor for tanking (higher end, lower willpower). DPS hilts & enhancements are more rare.

  5. Do rank 2 investigation missions. Any level have a chance at the new schematics, but the real money maker is the "requires armstech 100" level of items. Rank 2 missions will give you the plastifiber you'll need to craft them.

    quoted for truth.

It's random as to if you get it. Purple missions don't increase your chances at it. So just run a bunch of the regular level 2 missions and you'll get the level 20 schem sooner or later. Or run the level 5 & 6 and you'll find the level 50 schem. But it'll cost more in the end.

  6. 1. There are cheaper to make orange weapons that don't require bioemetric alloy. The schematics for them come from investigation missions. (albeit lower level ones, got to run the appropriate level mission for the level schematic you want.

Actually there is a level 20 & level 50 version of the orange schematics so you can get it from a larger range of investigation missions. And as you stated both do not require biometric alloy.

  7. They don't need to retweak anything. Before the patch, the Rakata Resolve Stim gave more WP than the Exotech one. After the patch, the Exotech one is giving 16 more willpower and several more power.

The good news on that front is that the Exotech stims are easier to sell on the GTN. They are still somewhat rare as I think only one or two other ppl on my server are regularly selling them.

Actually since 1.1.2 that has been the case but they never updated the tool tip. they updated the tool tip in 1.2.

    From 1.1.2 Patch notes:

    Biochem

•Energized and Exotech stims and adrenals no longer require Biochem to use.

•Energized and Exotech stims and adrenals are no longer bound, allowing them to be traded or sold to other players.

•Rakata reusable stims and adrenals have been reduced in power, providing buffs equal to Energized stims and adrenals. However, the tooltips for these items have not been updated and will still display old values.

    From 1.2 Patch notes:

    Biochem

•Values on tooltips for Rakata reusable stims and adrenals now match the buff correctly.

  8. They are planning on putting in more powerful stims/med packs/adrenals that won't have a reusable model. Just going to take time for it to become accessible. From the looks of the patch notes they aren't in game yet. Also they made it so medpacks can only be used once per fight.

So I'd still go biochem for my end game craft on my main especially if it was a tank, but they are slowly nerfing the benefits from it.

  9. What drops the 340 treasure hunting missions? Is there a certain area they are likely to drop from mobs, bosses, etc?

Slicing lock box missions level 6 or equivilant level nodes. Also seen missions drop from world bosses, regular mobs & be in item boxes.

  10. on a related note hopefully someone here can help me

I can craft the Orange Battlemaster and War Hero gear but am only lvl 56 Valor. While I am doing the long grind leveling that up I would like to be Filling in the highest level armor/mod/enhancements ect for the gear but I can only find up to lvl22 stuff in the GTN.

Is there a special vendor or what missions can I do to find the stuff I need?

Thanks in advance for any usefull information.

Did a 16 man KP last night and had 2 schematics drop for lvl 24 mods off of trash. Don't know if there is a PvP equivilant way of finding the schematics.
