  1. I fully understand why you use soon, and try not to mention specific dates until everything is 100% ready. After reading Joveth's recent post about Server Transfers being almost complete and going into testing, I was wondering why you couldn't give us more information like that for systems that the community is eagerly awaiting? For Example you could say: "We are working on 3D space combat, its in the hands of the <insert Dev team> and moving along as we expect", or "We are working on 3D space combat, its in the hands of the <insert Dev team> and hit some snags, but should be to you guys soon." This kind of information keeps specific dates vague but still gives the hungry community information, it all gives the community the impression that you are listening without saying you are listening.
  2. The thing you are ignoring is that Bioware made the design decision to all all players to play on any server from any region. Your solution would make it so that their design has to be that of region locks, Which is not how they sold the game. They stated you can play on any server you want. Now most of you here do not care about playing on servers from different regions, but other players do. Personally I do not care if they region lock the game, I am just giving you the logical reason why it is this way currently. Now the question is why can't they shift the maintenance time two hours later and start at 4 am CST. The only reason for this that I can think of is that if maintenance runs long (say 8 hours), the servers would be down until 12:00 CST which starts interfering with European play times after work?
  3. The reason why they can not do region specific maintenance is very obvious. Everyone that plays SWTOR launches the exact same launcher that connects to the exact same authentication and patch server. The client for SWTOR is exactly the same for everyone it is not region locked. So what this means is if they patch the game everyone downloads the patch the next time they login to the launcher. Meaning every server that we play on has to have the corresponding patch installed ready for players to connect to that server. What would happen if they did region specific maintenance/patching is that the first region to get a patch would force everyone to download the patch. If your particular server had not gone through maintenance yet you would not be able to connect to it because of mismatched versions, so you would then have to wait until your server goes through maintenance. Its the negative to giving your customers the ability to choose to play on any server they want, including those out of their region.
  4. I'm guessing he is trolling In the event he can't read here is one link of many... http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=3330002#edit3330002 So next time why don't you read the Dev tracker and find out what the devs said..
  5. SR replied to a tweet about this https://twitter.com/#!/Rockjaw/status/177436594037465090 Stephen Reid ‏ @Rockjaw @demonicking08 We're not entirely sure why IGN reported on that; BH is not getting 'singled out' for changes in 1.2. Looks like IGN is trolling again.
  6. After re-watching the video someone linked above the sith warrior was indeed using flamethrower as a legacy ability. So it looks like legacy can gain you abilities from other classes.. will have to hear more from the panel though.
  7. I'm going with all are on GCD except Alt+3 which is out of range. Also 2,4,a+1,a+2,a+5,a+6 will be out of range/condition not met at end of GCD (they are grayed out like a+3 except they are on GCD at this time)
  8. Alt + Z will also hide the UI, alt+ z again to bring it back
  9. There are a ton of servers up, both North America and Europe. I would say the # of NA servers = # of Europe servers. At least that's what it was when I got on this morning. P.S. The server list took up the entire sever selection screen in game, I do not know how many servers that was I did not count. But its a lot
