Howdy folks, i'd like to clarify a few things about Dark Empire, since we seem to be getting lumped into the Mega Meta Ultra Super Guild (we call them mega guild) that exists on this server currently. Dark Empire rerolled on this server in March, we were originally from Jung Ma. All of the members of our rated team are tagged solely to Dark Empire, they are not members of any other guilds. There are exactly two members in the guild who are members of other guilds, which we generally don't do. One is adorable, and one is here because he is a cool dude and doesn't laugh when i order bagels for breakfast. We have played, as a team, maybe 8 rated matches on this server. The pops are rare, as you all know, and the competition is mixed. Our best and most challenging games have been against Game Genie, who we played 4 times and tied 2-2. We know a little of the history of this server, people have filled in some of the blanks for us. Ultimately the ELO system doesn't function with so few teams, and no matter how much you try and coordinate, a 1200 ranked team will still play a 2000 ranked team, because no one is queuing. It was like that on our old server, it was like that on pot5, and it was like that here. When transfers hit, we will most likely be moving off to a server with more players and teams. We have all greatly enjoyed our time here, the community is great, the server is vibrant, and the people are nice. Pot5 is a cesspool filled with little kids.. but their pvp population is just so much larger (note.. not better.. just larger). We are always up for rateds, and if anyone would like to play us, or run strategies by us, we'd be more than happy to help or offer up some competition. thanks -soz'e , GM of DE
  2. Bioware had promised that expertise would be the "be-all" stat in 55 pvp. We have already seen how that is not the case with pve hilts, and now that people are aware of these earpieces and implants, we see it here too. These implants and ear pieces cost 150 basic comms each, which is a lot of pve to do if it is something you are not interested in. You can buy them for credits, but then we are back where we were pre 2.0, where everyone had to spend a million credits on 63 armorings to be BIS. Can bolster be adjusted to remove the viability of these items and other pve only gear in pvp?

  6. i think there is a real value in being able to respec before a match starts. As some folks here have said, sometimes you end up on a 4 healer team, respeccing to DPS will absolutely help you win. After a warzone starts however, i think field respec should be disabled. How many voidstars do you have to play , where the entire team you are facing starts on offense with 4 dps, only to respec their entire team to 4 tanks on defense. It is also obvious pay to win, the respec button is a legacy unlock, not everyone has it. I don't have a problem with a team looking around before a warzone starts, and adjusting their comp. to something more suited. Once a warzone starts however, it is certainly an unfair advantage depending on the makeup of your or your opponents team. This has no place in warzones beyond the one minute staging time at the beginning. i do appreciate the utility of it, but limit it to the beginning...

  8. I don't play on Jung Ma anymore, someone in my guild said i should go take a look at this thread. I'm not here to trash talk anyone, challenge people to duels, or say "im the best, herp derp blah blah". My point was simply that you can't trash talk a rated team because they play and practice together as a team, especially rated teams that were successful, like OOS, like DE, and like many others on Jung Ma. If Ruca wants to stay in a two man guild and be mad whenever he goes up against a four-man premade, there really isn't anything else i can say other than get some friends instead of trolling on the forums.
  9. I think, if i remember correctly, the only games OOS lost were two to Sleens, in the brief time Sleens was here. My sin, Kaisersoze, has a rated record of 250-20 or something like that, dont remember exactly. Far from undefeated certainly. By the time we left, and our comp was where we wanted it, our a-team had probably won about 150 games in a row. I don't think anyone here is saying we were the best, i don't even think we were the best, but you can't trash talk a group of players when we had to hide in denova just to get rated pops... Whoever the top guild is now on jung ma, i'm sure they know exactly what i am talking about. -soze
  10. Obvious troll is obvious? Many of the better players always roll in a premade. This whole idea that a solo player is awesome and can rambo anything is pretty stupid in an eight-man warzone. How do you think DE got all those ranked wins? Or OOS? Or anyone? All teamwork, and a lot of practice playing with that team. Call people trash for running in a premade all day, but when you and your solo queue hit one of those premades, its not the preamde leaving the warzone and rage quitting.. -soze
  11. As the title states, our guild Dark Empire is looking for a few more capable players to join our roster. We are new to POT5, having recently rerolled from Jung Ma, where we were among the top 3 PVP guilds on the server. We are currently seeking to fill a few spots for people looking to join a strong and competitive PVP team. With the level and gear grind from the re-roll completed in our main group, we are ready to start being competitive in Pot5 rated PVP. We understand coming to the top PvP server in the game will be a challenge, but it's a challenge we are prepared for. We have already played a lot of the top teams on this server, and we are pleased to say the competition is what we were looking forward to. We strive to be competitive among the top teams on Pot5, and plan to eventually be recognized as one of the top teams ourselves. Our recruitment process will involve running Normal WZ's with different members, and several rateds with our team. During this time we will evaluate if the recruit is a good fit for our guild.   12. Give assassins/shadows the ability to properly use Electrostaves. We currently have the weapon proficiency, but we cannot use lightsaber charges and some of our abilities when wielding them. With so many options available for single saber users (i.e. the vibroswords, the new axe in the cartel market).. would seem only fair. Thanks.
  13. This used to be a hot topic, but it now gets no mention in any of the dev/community response threads. My server, Jung Ma, has maybe four guilds that actually run rateds. My particular guild is the highest rated guild left on the server, and it just isnt fun playing against teams so far below us in rating. Never mind the risk vs reward involved, if we win, we get three points, if we lose, we lose thirty. Bioware used to mention that cross server was something that was upcoming and imminent, but they havent spoken of it in a month. Can we got a progress update on this please? Thank you.
  14. Howdy, prior to 1.3, my guild and I had cleared all current content, and were farming hardmode EC. With 1.3 and the ability to augment additional pieces, the question is, which augments make the most sense. My current stats, in remodded campaign/blackhole gear, with all buffs and stims on: hp: 26730 Damage Reduction: 40.03% Defense Chance: 28.84% Shield Chance (no ward): 48.54% Shield Absorption: 50.06% Five pieces were modded before 1.3 and have endurance over power augments. The choice for me is between absorption over power augments for everything else, or more end over power augments. Any ideas?
  15. i would argue that the accuracy issues with offhand attacks are an actual balance mechanic. my point here is that not having a moddable offhand is an oversight, and not part of the overall balance of the classes. this puts the rest of us at a disadvantage
