If not agreed on beforehand, any roll is ok. People can't just assume that other people play according to their rules.
Its not their rules, its the game's implemented rules. It's clearly named Need or Greed to avoid confusion. If someone is rolling Need on a pair of heavy armor because its better than the light armor their class wears, they're idiots. They do not understand the very simple rule of Need vs. Greed.

I think you're confusing "need over greed" and "gimme gimme, I want that"
I think you're the one who's confused. I was in a group the other day with a mercenary who wasn't a healer, who need rolled on healer gloves because it was "better" than what he had. Was he doing it for the mods, I wonder? Either way, the healer in our group missed out on getting new gear because he saw something he perceived as better, but did not have the required stats for his specific class/playstyle.
You know what he did when a pair of perfectly nice Juggernaut gloves dropped? He need rolled on it because he perceived them as being better than the medic gloves he had rolled need on. And he won. Both the healer and the tank in my group got screwed out of loot because of this "gimme gimme" attitude you try to pin on me.
I think you're one of these types of people who doesn't understand that certain gear is catered to certain roles.
-
And any gear that you roll need on, once you no longer need it what do you do with it? You sell it for a profit.
Doesn't that make you selfish too?
Um... no. Because you're actually using it for a prolonged period of time. I don't think people here are quite grasping the concept of Need over Greed.
-
No it's not anymore selfish than the person who wants the item for themselves. I'm going to actually use the item. Me. For my character.
What are you doing with the armor itself? Selling it? You're just taking a mod, and selling the rest of the gear for profit. Selfish.
-
If I'm mod stripping an item it's for an upgrade to MY character. It's gear I am going to use. That's not selfish. I'm using the item.
What in the world?
Yeah but you're only need rolling an item for a mod, not for the actual piece. That's still selfish. Someone else is potentially missing out on getting a new piece of armor because you want one aspect of it. If you want specific mods for your character, craft them or buy them from commendation vendors, or get them from the GTM.

Perhaps telling Bioware why theres nothing you can do at level 50 would be a good idea?
Don't bother, there's more to it than just "Oh I hit 50 and now I'm bored."

Ok guys, you're NOT paying attention. Some people are BUGGED, and CANNOT get rid of the opposite alighnment NO MATTER HOW MANY POINTS THEY GET IN THE ALIGNMENT THEY CHOOSE.
9900 light 100 dark, and doing 10000 flashpoints will not change it.
Get it NOW?
So.. what exactly are you saying?

Guys! I can't play the game while i'm asleep this is bs! Bioware fix this!
-
Oh god I'm freaking out now about choosing that light side option on my Sith. I wanted that speeder! FIX THIS!
-
I'm not at lvl 50 yet, I'm being mostly lightside, but I did get some darkside options... if i'm not able to get Light V gear/items at the endgame, I will sure as hell be pissed...
Yeah I'm pretty much all dark side on my Sith character, but for the hell of it I chose a light side option in a quest today... on a whim. So on a whim, my character is gimped and will never achieve dark 5? Bioware, fix this immediately.

thoughts?
People don't know how to relax and enjoy themselves. I've run into one bug so far in the many, many hours I've logged playing TOR. One. People over exaggerate, too.

As long as the game holds my attention I'll keep playing. Granted, I will be taking a break somewhere along the way to avoid overload.

She had a pink lightsaber. PINK.

Togruta!!!!! IMO Togruta are the most awesome race in the SW.
That'd be awesome, they'd likely be a pretty popular race to choose as well, especially for Jedi classes.
-
Let's talk about new player races. Yeah, the game just came out, and there's a good selection of races to choose from, but what would you like to see in future updates/expansions of the game? Me, personally, I want to see Devaronians as a player race. They're in the game already, even as a companion, and they're just plain awesome. They'd make great smugglers and bounty hunters.
Another race I'd love to see playable for the Empire faction specifically is the Falleen, made popular by Prince Xizor in Shadows of the Empire. They'd of course have a seduction social ability they could use to woo their companions.
So what are some of the races you'd like to see playable in the future? Don't be bashful! Post anything.
Bioware should give the republic more stuff

I notice you changed your icon from a Jedi to a Sith.
Anyways, the Republic already have great classes. How about those tanks that can heal? The Trooper! Biggest pain in warzones.
