  1. It's plenty possible to look your own, you just have to be willing to pay for it. This was true of LOTRO as well, because all the good dyes were quite difficult to make, and were very expensive as a result. Most set bonuses are barely useful, and even if you want it, it's amazing how far you can get with nothing but an orange chest and your head slot hidden. I have never seen the armor set my Squizzy has on any other level 50 character, and the same is true of my Mercenary. No MMO I have ever played has let me just play dress up and not have to pay for it, and I'm perfectly fine with that. If you actually TRY to look unique, you will.
  2. That was my initial thought, but the ticket response said "working as intended".
  3. I recently did the False Emperor HM flashpoint with a group of guildies to get me the Aratech Ice, and I noobed it up for a second and was knocked off during the last fight. At this point I was completely locked out of the Flashpoint, and was forced to start over again to get the credit for the mission. I sent in a ticket just to see if it was a bug, but I got a message back "Be advised that as you died, you are ineligible for the progress your party members made." This ALMOST makes sense, except that in every other Flashpoint/Raid, if you fail miserably and die normally, you are still eligible for all progress made, and are able to get any and all gear dropped in the instance. Furthermore, if you ever fall off the map and are forced to exit the phase, for everything besides FE, you are able to go back in and receive the gear, provided that your team waits for you. All I'm asking for is consistency... if dead people aren't eligible for the rewards, then fine, fair enough, but make sure that's true everywhere and not just in one isolated circumstance. Just think it's a harsh punishment considering how incredibly powerful his knockback is, and how long the flashpoint is compared to others.
  4. Personally, I like the personal story. Rather than all kinds of companions joining you on your epic quest, the Bounty Hunter story felt like the story of the Bounty Hunter and his/her companions. Not to mention the Bounty Hunter has two of my favorite companions, Mako and Bizz. Gault and Torian are interesting enough to talk to as well.
  5. Probably shouldn't even consider who is the "flavor of the month" when picking what you want to do. I understand the viewpoint saying "I don't want to do what everyone else is doing" but if you deliberately avoid a class because it's FotM, aren't you still letting "everyone else" have a say in what you want to do? At any rate, I enjoyed the Inquisitor and Bounty Hunter storyline, which I've finished, and so far I'm liking the Jedi Knight, Imperial Agent, and Trooper storylines. The only one I don't care for so far is the Jedi Consular.
  6. Of all the aspects in an MMO, the social aspect is the one I love the most. So far, TOR seems to be lacking in this respect. Everything a player can do seems based around either leveling or gearing up. Any word on future plans in this department? On a related note, are there any plans for implementing player housing? I'm aware that our ships are intended to be our homes, but we are unable to choose our ship, or even decorate it. Perhaps new, large zones could be added into the game, for player-placed cities on various planets? Any response would be greatly appreciated.
  7. IIRC, they said at the Guild Summit that they plan on creating bigger warzones when they implement cross-server queuing. Right now it would just be too hard to get that many people all queued and ready to go.
  8. Awesome... Also, much like the wookiee localization update, notice Bioware is trying to show us something. See all the new emotes? FIST BUMP FTW.

    Op healers

Let me get this straight... you get him down to 6k health... and he gets 1 heal out... which puts him up to 15k.... So he has a 9k heal. Right. And with the Trauma debuff, that's 9/.7 = 12.85. That Commando can heal for almost 13k in PvE. I want him in my ops group!
  10. But you won't call your mother up and tell her that you didn't touch the stove because you thought it was hot.
  11. Please, in the final stages of Beta, everyone was freaking out about how Assassin/Shadows got nerfed. They haven't gotten a substantial buff since, yet people are still crying that they're OP. Also, it's entirely possible that the point of the PTS release is to determine what stealth changes will be made to the overall stats. To the OP, you should include in your data figures from 1.1.5 in order to guarantee accuracy.
  12. Augmentception... Really though, I'm sure you'd get 2 augments instead of 1.
  13. The test server has been up for a while. You all knew 1.2 would hit it soon. If you wanted higher level characters, you should have created them weeks ago.
