  1. Personally, I'd never buy a version 24 or 25 mod when 23's are basically free from dailies and I could just save my cash to go straight to 26's from some crafter.
  2. I agree that dupe and useless enhancements are kind of annoying, but they're easy enough to ignore. I don't think the "useless" ones are actually that useless though -- some tank might want to reduce their cast times just because it fits their style better, for example. They won't be the best tank around but not everyone is aiming to maintank EC HM every week. As for the other post -- low-level hilts sell pretty well, and I craft them and focii / generators / enhancements / crystals for my guildies all the time. I'm sure I could sell them as well, it's not only my guild that wants gear while levelling up!
  3. I've sold greens for a profit, since they were added later, don't know about the rest. There are also yellows from the PvP vendor (who knows why), and oranges from the Primal Destroyer and Nightmare Pilgrim. My server (Corellian Run) regularly has the +41 Endurance and Crit magenta schems for sale.
  4. This doesn't have anything to do with the thread and the thread is OLD. Go post in the Customer Service forum if you want to report a bug (FYI it's not a bug, you just had bad luck).
  5. You really needed to post 2 threads on this? With the same title even? http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=499261 Orange crystal schems drop from the Belsavis and Voss world bosses and I think Investigation missions (potentially Slicing and/or Underworld Trading as well). Only a couple from the trainer.
  6. It doesn't have to be a higher chance, though. Instead of a random 20% chance per RE, they could simply require exactly 5 REs to learn the schematic. It's the same overall probability, but it ensures that you can't be unlucky and fail to learn a schem 50+ times in a row.
  7. Blue/Red/Green come from Archaeology, not Treasure Hunting. It's only Yellow and Orange that come from Treasure Hunting. If you're trying to craft Y/O crystals, you should run Gemstone missions, since you need the gemstones anyways!
  8. Since this has already been necroed, I might as well add: When zoomed out, it looks very red. Only up close does it look pinkish. I guess that's why it says "light red" in weapon tooltips.
  9. That would be cool, then I could delete all the greens I've already learned the blues from. I'm a completionist though so I wouldn't delete anything else ... must learn all the things!
  10. I always thought it was annoying that there are two versions of the Defense ones but the names are the same.
  11. Print Screen works, it just saves the image automatically. Look in your My Documents folder, there's a screenshots folder under the game folder.
  12. I don't think anything above version 26 are in the game at this time. As noted above you get versions 23-26 from Ops. You'll have to join another guild I guess. As for other schematics, I think either Underworld Trading or Investigation might drop some as well as Slicing, and of course, whatever mission skill it is that goes with your crafting skill (e.g., Treasure Hunting drops a couple Artifice lightsaber schems).
  13. That was totally worth necroing the thread for.
  14. Yes, the +41 endurance and +41 crit crystals are selling for minimum 150k on my server. A week ago they were at 350k, and I expect them to go back up a bit. The +41 power crystals sell for even more, since they're rare (schem is a drop from Nightmare Pilgrim). Besides the magenta mats they take 8 Lorrdian Gemstones and 8 Corusca Gems, which is a lot, but yeah they sell well. I haven't tried selling the +33's, I'm guessing they're not worth it. The +16's have sold for around 75k for me which is good as well since they take less mats.
  15. Endgame enhancement schematics drop in HM/NM Ops (version 24/25). As well, lvl 26 mods in BH/Campaign gear can be RE'd for a chance at a schem apart from armorings, which are a bit more complicated (BoE ones that drop can be RE'd; I think ones in gear from Kephess can also be RE'd but no others). I saw one drop in Karagga's Palace recently. Color crystal schematics drop in the Black Hole, from the Primal Destroyer on Belsavis, and from the Nightmare Pilgrim on Voss.
  16. You really needed to post 2 thread on this? With the same title even? http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=4841168 Only a few oranges are at the skill trainer, check the market for the rest. I think the schems drop from underworld trading, as well as the Primal Destroyer.
  17. It would level the playing field for those of us who can't play at work, though . I know lots of people who just have the game running in the background and occasionally queue up some missions.
  18. Gannifarl is being given to everyone on July 30th because BioWare apparently appreciates the response to the Character Transfer service http://www.swtor.com/info/news/news-article/20120705
  19. Make sure to post this in the Customer Service forum so they see it. I think it's an all-around good idea, there are other ways to ensure yellows, oranges, and prototype/artifact gemstones are "rare".
  20. I was following "the" thread and no one posted proof of PvP schems, can you link me to what you're referring to?
  21. Crafted gear is pretty much the same as drops, until you get into post-50 gear (drops in or bought with comms from flashpoints & ops), since you can't craft anything that good. Difference it that it's guaranteed -- you can craft yourself a nice purple belt every time you level up rather than hoping and praying that one drops . One exception that I know of is crystals, artificers can craft crystals that are just as good as the ones in the best gear. There are also now rare drops for high-end enhancement and mod schematics (e.g. version 26, lvl 50 is version 22 or 23) from ops, so you can learn to craft those.
  22. No, you can't craft purples. Purple PvP crystals drop (rarely) from the Grade 6 PvP crafting box. PvE crystals that were bought before 1.2 are sometimes sold on the Market. The ones currently in Empire Columi weapons are bound so they can't be ripped out and sold. That ... doesn't make sense. You get plenty of yellow schematics from the trainer, plus one of the mission discovery skills returns schematics for +Power crystals. The level 50 schematics come from the PvP vendor.
  23. Just zone or send another companion on a fast level 1 mission, you'll get more. I regularly have 5 companions at once on level 6 gemstone missions.
  24. I like artifice, but since you have basically nothing invested in it and your scavenging is more leveled than your archaeology, I'd suggest keeping Scavenging and going with Armormech (Underworld Trading) or Armstech (Investigation).
